It's an episode so important, it needed to be recorded over two nights! The LOW team returns to discuss the first edition of Superstar Pro Wrestling, entitled Superset I (AKA Superset '83)! The team takes an overview of the 35 wrestlers in this set and give their thoughts on card strength, moveset accuracy, how the cards did for them, and more! Find out what the videos below have to do with this episode and check out the show notes to see how to play this game online! Uncharted Territory: Episode 103

I played the game religiously from, I'm guessing 85-89. Once I got COTG for Christmas 89, I never played it again. COTG played so smoothly compared to Superstars, which was too clunky once I discovered the Filsinger game system
I do remember myself and friends made cards of ourselves and played them against other wrestlers in the game

I always wondered about Superstars...
Like a few other Promoters my decision on which game to get came down to chosong between COTG and Superstars...and I went the COTG route because I wanted something that was not based on "real" wrestlers.
But still, cool to finally hear about it.

Glad I made the choice for COTG over Superstar Pro, but I always remembered the ad talking about the "Sandinista Death Match"!

I still have all my old Superstars stuff.
I had a match between the Road Warriors versus Kerry and Kevin Von Erich that went 65 minutes before the brothers finally won.
I haven't played the game in decades. It was great for its time but its time has passed and it has been surpassed.

I had both games. Only one stuck, but I have fond memories of the Superstars game. I bought a copy from someone and it came with hundreds of wrestlers - very impressive - but the game play couldn’t touch COTG. I do recall really enjoying just looking at the game and studying the wrestler sheets. I’m sure it was the art, fast play and fantasy storyline that drew me to COTG more - very similar to how I feel about GWF vs LOW today. Really enjoy LOW but I love to play and write COTG most.
