During the last con, @kevinb was talking about making a tag finisher a regular finisher for wrestlers in singles matches. Is there an official rule for this? I thought there was something in one of the old school ringside companions (like from ages ago - at least 26 years ago)
Does anyone do this? Say you have a wrestler with a tag finisher - do you make it a zero singles finisher?

I re-roll on that level to get a move that works. Not sure if thatβs an official rule or whatnot but thatβs the way I play.

Personally I think tag specialists should be penalized to a greater degree in singles matches than just a drop in finisher rating. So it either is downgraded to a Level 3 move, an Add 1 move, or use the "Havoc Rule" and re-roll on Level 2 Offense. I do the last of the bunch.
Edit: I did make an exception for Vlad Hammer when he joined the Workshop as a single before becoming Gemini, since he didn't have a singles finisher but wasn't part of a tag team. I gave him a (0) finisher for that year.

I refill on that level to get a move that works. Not sure if thatβs an official rule or whatnot but thatβs the way I play. This is also what I do... I think the official rule is that you roll up an offensive level, but that doesn't work for me... Feels like you're penalizing a wrestler a little too much for having a dedicated (tag) finisher.

Most of the wrestlers have definitely had singles runs even if they're known much better for tag runs.
I don't normally replace it with a (0) finisher unless it's the same on both sides. Mind, I try to avoid too much tag wrestlers with no singles finishers in singles matches.

Official rule is to roll up an offensive level. Penalizing the tag specialist in singles matches is kind of the point of the rule.

It's kinda funny that tag wrestlers get penalized in singles not singles don't really get penalized in tag which is why two singles wrestlers can dominate full time tag teams.
