A very determined and inspirational effort by the defending champion, but unfortunately for Kingston, that title is back where it belongs... PHENOMENAL! Looking forward to AJ vs. Justice... And I still think the Kings are destined to win those tag belts... Loving this fed, my friend... Very nice work! I was surprised that Styles eliminated everyone in the match, but I cannot be mad at the Phenomenal One being Phenomenal! I am stoked that Styles will face Justice as they are both favorites of mine, and it should be a great match! Yes, the Kings of Wrestling seemed destined to claim the tag belts, they just have one more team to beat to claim them, and it should not be a tall order for them. Thanks for the continued support my friend!

Absolute UpdateFrom the desk of AIW President, Matt Wadsworth
“Hello AIW Fans! What an intense year we had in AIW! We crowned our inaugural AIW Absolute Champion in “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles, and through some twists and turns, he remains the AIW Absolute Champion to close out the year! We also saw the intense war between Davey Vega and Sami Callihan that culminated in the brutal casket match between them!”
”However, it is not time to rest on what happened last year, but to move forward in the new year to come! Our first show will be on February 26th, and it will take place at the usual Peabody’s Down Under in Cleveland Ohio! This show will start off hot, as we will crown our inaugural AIW Tag Team Champions! The Kings of Wrestling will take on Kung Fu Manchu with the winner claiming the AIW Tag Team Championship! Also, the AIW Absolute Champion, “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles will defend his title against the Gauntlet for the Gold Winner, “One Man Militia” Matthew Justice! You will not want to miss any of this intense action!”
”Unfortunately, there is some not so good news to report. As with any promotion, we do our best to accommodate all of our talent, but sometimes they feel their time in a promotion is done. So, I must inform you that the following talent has decided to leave and gave some parting words:”
Drake Younger: “I thought this promotion was going to be intense. Well, they did a fair job, but it is not intense enough for me. I am moving on towards more “hardcore” competition!”Colt Cabana: “I had a great time in AIW. However, I am not sure where my future is going, so for now I need to take a break. Thanks for the memories!”PB Smooth: “This promotion does not know what it has in me! I feel like I was being held back and not given the chance to show what I can do. Well that is AIW’s loss, I am outta here!”Austin Theory: “I was brought in by Johnny Gargano with certain promises I could expect. Well none of those promises were kept! But, it did get me noticed, and now I am on to bigger and better things! A-Town Down!”Ethan Page: “What a joke this promotion is! The North, a prestigious tag team had to face tag teams that were beneath us! With such booking like that, The North would get nowhere! I am off to get paid at a real promotion! AIW you messed up big time!”Fire Ant: “The Colony was never the same after we lost Soldier Ant. I did my best to carry on, but it is just not the same. I did some soul searching, and time has come for me to hang the mask up. I wish the best to Worker Ant, you are the last of the Colony, make us proud!”
“We won’t end on bad news, as with the grow of AIW, we are currently in talks with several talent that wish to join AIW. Once the details of their contracts are worked out, we will announce them as the join AIW! The future is looking bright!”
”We will see you on February 26th, for the first show of 2006! You don’t want to miss The Most Intense Wrestling In The United States!”

Really enjoyed the parting comments, reminds me of the last page in the COTG books 😀 great way of rotating your roster too. Thanks man! I wanted talent leaving to be more than just so and so left the promotion, and I figured having some parting comments would be a good way to show why they are leaving. Thanks for tuning in buddy!

A Night of Mystery26.02.2006 Peabody’s Down Under Cleveland, OH
Josh Alexander defeated Bill Taylor via Twisting Tombstone Fatigue: Taylor 3: Alexander 3 Match Notes: These two opened the show with a great technical match. Taylor controlled the early going but Alexander was not to be counted out. After hitting the nail spike, Alexander was able to put Taylor away with a Twisting Tombstone to win the hard fought match.
EC3 w/Stokley Hathaway defeated Necro Butcher via One Percenter Fatigue: EC3 4: Butcher 2 Match Notes: Stokley Hathaway made sure the referee was away of everything Necro Butcher was doing, as he did not want the match to descend into chaos. Butcher worked over EC3, but a brawl on the outside gave EC3 the opening he needed, and a One Percenter later and Necro Butcher was done.
Tim Donst defeated Raymond Rowe, Josh Prohibition, & DJZ via Avalanche Death Valley Bomb Fatigue: Donst 2: Rowe 1: DJZ 1: Prohibition 5 Match Notes: Tim Donst was on a mission to prove he is the man in AIW. He was able to pick his spots in this chaotic match, which gave him the edge. After he was able to orchestrate a collision between Rowe and DJZ which took them out of the ring, Donst capitalized and crushed Josh Prohibition with a top rope move to pick up the win.
In the Ring: Age of the Fall Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black are in the ring and they complain about not getting opportunities around here, as AIW knows they are the best tag team in the company! Out comes AIW President, Matt Wadsworth who tells Age of the Fall that if they are the best then they should be able to beat any team out before them. Tyler Black tells Matt Wadsworth that he is correct as no team can hold a candle to they. Wadsworth then tells them “good” because they will take on the Neo-Solar Temple, and that match is next!
Age of the Fall vs Neo-Solar Temple ends in a Double DQ Fatigue: Hydra 1 Match Notes: Age of the Fall looked like they were going to back up their words as they isolated Hydra from his corner. Jimmy Jacobs hits Hydra with The End of Time. This brought in Ultramantis Black to break up the pin, and it results in an all out brawl between all four men! Referee, Tom Dunn is unable to get the teams under control, and throws out the match! Security has to come out to break these two teams apart. This one is definitely not over!
Backstage: To Infinity and Beyond Cheech and Colin Delaney talk about how they are the fan favorite team in AIW, and that they are determined to become the AIW Tag Team Champions. They are interrupted by Gregory Iron and Hobo Joe who says they overheard them, and that they are mistaken as the Homeless Handicapped Connection it the fan favorite team of AIW! Delaney chuckles, and then challenges the Homeless Handicapped Connection to a match tonight! Gregory Iron agrees and tells To Infinity and Beyond that they will see them later tonight!
Matt Cross w/Stokley Hathaway defeated Worker Ant via Death From Above Fatigue: Ant 1: Cross 2 Match Notes: Worker Ant did his best as he is now alone, as the Colony is no more. He held his own for awhile, but once Matt Cross got going, it was only a matter of time before M-Dogg 20 put the ant away. After the bell, Matt Cross continued to attack Worker Ant! Cross hit two more Death From Above and left Worker Ant in pain! (Worker Ant injured for 2 cards)
Sami Calliham defeated Rickey Shane Page via DQ Fatigue: N/A Match Notes: As the match started, Sami Callihan tried to attack Rickey Shane Page with a steel chair. However, Page was ready for Callihan and smashed him with his own chair! Referee Jake Clemons called for the bell DQ’ing Rickey Shane Page! Sami Callihan just laughed and shook his head in approval at Page.
To Infinity and Beyond defeated Homeless Handicapped Connection via Lariat Fatigue: Iron 1: Hobo 4: Cheech 1 Match Notes: Both teams worked hard to beat the other in this “friendly” rivalry match. Gregory Iron and Hobo Joe were able to score an early near fall, but Cheech was able to tag in Colon Delaney to turn the tide. To Infinity and Beyond worked over Hobo Joe and where able to pit him away after he survived a Go to Cheech, but a followed up lariat by Delaney was enough for the win. Both teams shook hands and showed sportsmanship after the match was over.
Vin Gerard defeated Steve Corino via STF Fatigue: Corino 5: Gerard 1 Match Notes: Vin Gerard was all game in this match. He had an answer to everything Corino threw at him. In the end, Gerard was able to catch Corino in his STF submission, and Corino had no choice but to tap out.
“The Whole Shebang” Johnny Gargano defeated Eddie Kingston via DQ Fatigue: Gargano 3: Kingston 2 Match Notes: Johnny Gargano frustrated Eddie Kingston in this match. The Whole Shebang would stop any momentum Kingston would gain with ease. Late into the match, both men started to brawl outside the ring, and referee Tom Dunn tried to get them to separate. This caused Kingston to shove him so he could get to Gargano, and Tom Dunn called for the bell DQ’ing Kingston! Kingston could not believe it, and Gargano taunted Kingston on his mistake!
Taped Promo: AIW Absolute Champion; AJ Styles “Matthew Justice! You are a tough competitor and will be a tall order for my next defense. I know they do not call you “One Man Militia” for nothing, as it is a name well deserved. However, you are not Phenomenal, nor have you face a Phenomenal opponent. All this means, is that the AIW Absolute Championship will remain where it belongs, and that is on the shoulder of “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles!
AIW Tag Team Championship Kings of Wrestling defeated Kung Fu Manchu via KRS TWO Fatigue: Lyndon 5 Match Notes: The Kings of Wrestling showed why they are the best tag team in AIW! They isolated Louis Lyndon from his corner and wore him down. The Kings hit Kings Reign Supreme Two on Lyndon, and picked up the win, as Fontaine was prevented from making the save! Kings of Wrestling are the Inaugural AIW Tag Team Champions!
AIW Absolute Championship “One Man Militia” Matthew Justice defeated “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles* via DQ Fatigue: Justice 1 Match Notes: Both men shook hands to start the match. AJ Styles outclassed Matthew Justice in this match. After getting hit by a Pele Kick and kicking out, Matthew Justice rolled out of the ring for a breather. AJ Styles followed him by hitting a Fosbury Flop on Justice. All of a sudden, two hooded individuals jumped the barricade and attacked Matthew Justice with wrenches! The referee called for the bell, DQ’ing AJ Styles! Matthew Justice wins the match, but the DQ ensures that AJ Styles keeps the AIW Absolute Championship! AJ did his best to aid Justice but the two individuals attacked AJ as well. With all of this happening, out comes Johnny Gargano! It looks like he is going to make the save, but them joins the two individuals in attacking Styles and Justice! The two individuals hold up Matthew Justice and Gargano hit his Lawn Dart Spear! They then lift up AJ Styles, and Gargano hits a Hurts Donut, followed by locking on the Gargano Escape! Gargano releases the hold after AJ Styles passes out and he celebrates with what has to be his two “cronies” as the fans boo, and the show comes to its end.

Absolute Update From the desk of AIW President, Matt Wadsworth
“Hello AIW Fans! Well the first show of 2006 is in the books and man did it not disappoint! First up is a congratulations to the Kings of Wrestling who claimed the AIW Tag Team Championships by defeating Kung Fu Manchu in the tournament finals!”
”We also had an AIW Absolute Championship match between “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles and “One Man Militia” Matthew Justice. Unfortunately, Johnny Gargano and his schemes spoiled yet again another great main event! So while Matthew Justice did win the match by DQ, the Absolute Championship remains with AJ Styles as a championship cannot change hands on a DQ.”
”Our next show will take place on March 26th, at Peabody’s Down Under in Cleveland, OH! Some big news is on that show will be a six man elimination match to crown the inaugural AIW Intense Champion! This second title is a no-rules type of title and anything will go! The six men that will compete in that match are: Vin Gerard, Rickey Shane Page, Sami Callihan, Tim Donst, Raymond Rowe, and Josh Prohibition. Good luck to each competitor!”
”Also on the next show the AIW Tag Team Champions, The Kings of Wrestling will make their first title defense against the team they beat to win the championships, Kung Fu Manchu. That will be a great match!”
”Lastly, AIW Absolute Champion, AJ Styles has had enough of Johnny Gargano and his schemes, and wants some payback. So, Styles has joined up with Matthew Justice and Eddie Kingston to take on Johnny Gargano and his new “cronies”. Well, Johnny Gargano agreed and revealed that his two “cronies” as everyone is calling them are none other than Rich Swann and Chuck Taylor! Together they are reforming Ronin and will face AJ Styles, Matthew Justice, and Eddie Kingston in a Six Man Tag Team Cleveland Street Fight! Things will get brutal and hopefully resolved!”
”We will see you on March 26th! You don’t want to miss The Most Intense Wrestling In The United States!”

The Phenomenal One, the One Man Militia and the War King coming together... Something tells me that Gargano and his 'cronies' could be in for a world of hurt... And hopefully, when that situation is settled, we get a rematch between Styles and Justice for the AIW Absolute title.
Really looking forward to the crowing of the first AIW Intense champion as well... Bring it on!

If Styles, Justice, and Kingston can work together, then Ronin will have a hard time in the street fight. I am looking forward to the crowning of the Intense Champion! With Justice being so successful as of late, it should not be long before he gets another shot at the AIW Absolute Championship! Thanks for tuning in my friend!
