I see there is still some grumbling about COTG vs LOW. So, here is my 1 1/2 cents. Filsinger Games is a business. They SHOULD focus on what can bring in the most money. The majority of wrestling fans, if they decide to get into this game, will want real wrestlers. Guys they watch and know. It is a smaller section of wrestling fans that will enjoy COTG and it's sci-fi/fantasy elements. Many wrestling fans cannot stand things like Rosemary and the shadow realm or Broken Hardy universe. Also, with real wrestlers the talent is creating itself. No one at Filsinger Games has to come up with a wrestler. They just see who is up and coming and thanks to the great staff and members, like Vegas, go out and sign them before the wrestler signs with one of the big two. Where as COTG they have to keep coming up with new and fresh ideas. That is not easy. Thus, over the years, COTG has had it's up and downs. The reality is, COTG probably only started due to the fact that the idea of LOW did not seem financially possible. I am more a COTG fan than LOW but I would rather see FG go after LOW guys more and build the company and the fan base while still doing a solid job with COTG. Besides, if COTG does fade more it does not mean the end of my COTG feds. I will just create my own characters and keep the blood pumping in my feds. OK, time to step off the soapbox.

Technically, FTR will be in Prime for the 4th Quarter so there will be new COTG related cards for Christmas. Also, in the last few years we've got the yearly GWF set, a yearly Future Shock set, two Kronos sets, several FTR sets through Prime, Reimagined sets through 2093, and the Best of COTG set. After all that, I don't mind if we get one quarter off. I don't want the crew to burn out.
As for Legends vs COTG, it's not a competition. Play the side of the game you prefer be it Legends, Indies, or COTG. There is plenty of content put out for all product lines and more then enough to keep you busy. I remember the days of a new set every six months. Now we get two or three sets every three months. If one line takes a quarter off, wait three months and there will be another. In the end, we're here to have fun so roll the dice and just enjoy it.

It was said each line would only have 4 releases this year & would get 1 release date off.
Q3 legends only had Brian Blair
Q4 indies only gets Eric Young & cotg gets Thantos SE (that many of us got in Q3)

I'm greedy, I always want a COTG release but truth be told we've been eating good the last couple of years. I'm playing catch-up with all my feds as it is. Still, if we could get the Promoter Prime 2023 pre-sale up in the shop (assuming there will be one) I'd be happy with that!

Usually around February as the release is not till March.

The passion in this game is gone, I mean REAL passion. Tom use to be so excited about his game around this time of year and we fed off it, but he has been absent for some time now. I know, I know he lives in Arizona now, so what - the internet doesn't care where you live. Osk trashed online on his way out, enter Mike Melesky to the rescue. How he has became the COO of FG from working on online is anyone's guess but since he's been in 'charge' things have definitely changed and not all for the better. Online continues to have problems, COTG is continuously forgotten and fan moral is at all time low. Not ALL fan moral, obviously because of the backlash I'm going to receive for this post, but I am not alone - I'm just the most vocal. My son Matthew has quit playing the game he's played for almost his whole life, 25 years out of 33. Rob retired for reasons unknown to most and he was the only one who cared about COTG at Fed HQ. Coincidences?... I realize I'm beating a dead horse here but it's hard to let go of something that I've loved for well over 30 years but I'm out...

I don't know KB, I really don't. The only thing consistent in life is change and sometimes the things from our childhood..well that spark just goes out. I obviously don't feel it as deeply as you, but I also stay out of the sticky business and just prefer to enjoy things as an outsider.
I do concur that online is outdated and kind of held together by duct tape and bubble gum. Could really use an overhaul but I don't know about the logistics money wise. I think Tom's writing has been as sharp as I've seen it in many, many years with the last few sets. He's not doing quantity, but he's doing quality. And of course everything being released across all of FG looks better than ever with the great art teams assembled.
Again, I'm not even sure what to say, but I hear you.

It's very disheartening to see anyone lose their passion for this game and/or this community.
Here are my thoughts on this topic and I will try to keep them as brief and straightforward as possible:
Since I started playing again (over 8 years ago now), I have exclusively played online... And I have to say the online game has worked better over the course of the past year than ever before... A few years ago, I actually quit playing for an extended period of time (even going so far as to try selling my online account) because the site was so freakin' unreliable... I can honestly say that has not been a real issue for at least the past 12-18 months... The site experiences very little downtime as far as I can tell and that is what is most important to me... Sure, there's room for improvement... But, I don't require any bells or whistles... My reality is that FG online is just a means to access a card and dice game through a more convenient interface... All I need is to be able to access the online gameboard and PLAY!
I don't really see how COTG is being forgotten... It currently has three separate brands in active production - GWF, CWF and FTR - and that's not counting Kronos... And the quality of those releases have been pretty top notch, imo... A lot of people might think that I don't play COTG anymore because I'm not posting any results, but that could not be further from the truth... I remain as dedicated to COTG as I am to the Legends and indy products.
It's just not fair to say something is wrong without specifically identifying the problem or offering some kind of suggestion on how the situation can be improved... As far as what might be happening behind the scenes of the business itself... Well, I don't see how that's any of my concern... My passion for the game remains and I like to consider it a REAL passion.

I rarely play online anymore, but I have a years long COTG that I've finally managed to get to 2089 playing at the Mike Fortune pace. I kind of abandoned it because of the issues. If it's running smooth that is great. The interface and overall look does still seem outdated to me, but as long as it works it's not a huge problem.
