Future Shock Wrestling (Mr Colby presents a GWF alternative)

[Pariah]

Near the end of 2095, Omega passed away without warning. The Galaxian Wrestling Federation went through a period of mourning and ceased operations until early 2095. At that time, Morpheus assumed full creative control of the promotion. This caused some dissension on the roster and all talent was given the option to accept an unconditional release from the company. Numerous individuals took advantage of the offer.

The year is 2100. A few key parties - Lord Nexus, Doomsayer and Johnny Rocket were approached by Alpha Force (now competing under the name used by his deceased father, Omega) with the idea of hosting an independent wrestling event that might serve as a launching pad for an intergalactic alternative to the GWF. In order to obtain the necessary financial backing, the group entered into negotiations with Magnus Colby. He found the proposal very interesting and agreed upon the condition that his roaming space station, the Matrix Palace (with adjoining hotel, casino and amusement park), would be the venue for this event of groundbreaking potential.

Stoked that you're looking forward to the action, my friend... This idea has been percolating for well over a year (maybe closer to two) and the final dose of inspiration was the result of listening to Chad Olson and TDalton discuss their Combat Wrestling Alliance project on the most recent Uncharted Territory installment... Obviously, it's also somewhat influenced by the real-life beginnings of AEW... Should be plenty of fun!

Trying to take a somewhat realistic approach to the beginnings of a new promotion... That being said, it makes things a little easier having the bankroll of Magnus Colby footing the bill. HA!

If Brute & Massacre want to make some serious noise AWAY from the GWF, this is definitely gonna be their chance... Omega (fka Alpha Force) & Raven are formidable individual competitors at the top of their respective games... How will they function as a team?

It was destined to happen... I'm kinda going back to my roots here... My very first project on this board was a non-canon COTG fed that combined wrestlers from multiple GWF time periods with aCe wrestlers thrown into the mix... My plan is to 'stay cool' with everything - take my time to develop the characters and tell some compelling stories.
