Happy holidays! I just purchased CHIKARA starter set and was wondering what set follows as I see there are so many. Is this a comic book/sci-fi style narrative fed? What titles are there? Do men fight women? I have been playing COTG for 30 years or more. This is my first foray into the indies and I am excited. What sets follow in order, or should I just go with my gut feeling and get any set I want next? Please advise. Thanks! Stevie

I do not remember the order of the sets, but I am sure someone else will let you know soon. Yes, men do fight women. As far as titles and other CHIKARA info I would suggest checking out Wikipedia. I had only seen a few matches on YouTube when I got my set years ago. Most of my info came from Wiki and drove me to want to get the set. It is not your standard wrestling fed and they do dip into a comic book/sci-fi style. Have fun.

Solid purchase. One of the coolest box sets ever.
You’ll definitely want to snag the bonus packs for Tecnicos, Rudos and a few others that dropped later. There was a Bryan Danielson card, too. Very fun fed. CHIKARA 2010-2012 ish was one of the best feds out there at the time.

The $150 for all of the sets in the store is honestly a great deal. A ton of great cards in those sets. Men wrestler women with no altering to stats (equal rights, equal fights)
Championships are
Campeonatos de Parejas (Tag Team Titles) it is defended in a 2 out of 3 falls match. Teams have to earn 3 points to challenge for the titles. Teams earn points by winning matches, and points reset after a loss. Basically, win three matches in a row and challenge for the titles. Those rules are definitely optional in your FG world (I never used them because I felt like it was too difficult to get contenders and limited feuds)
Grab Championship - Singles Championship with similar point system. Defend in one fall to a finish
Yearly tournaments -
King of Trios which is a six man tag tournament
Young Lions Cup - tournament for wrestlers 25 years old and younger. The cup is defended similar to a championship until the next years tournament
Rey de voldores - tournament for high flyers
Basically, Chikara is super fun because it’s very classic bad guys vs good guys and can be all sorts of fun teaming combinations
