Davey Boy actually went further than DK last year, making it all the way to the quarterfinals... And who did the Bulldog beat to get there? VAMPIRO! Hmmmmm... Davey Boy actually went further than DK last year, making it all the way to the quarterfinals... And who did the Bulldog beat to get there? VAMPIRO! Hmmmmm... I find myself questioning my own judgement. Just went back a little further... DK made the semifinals in the 2021 tournament... Where he lost to the eventual winner, Jack Brisco (who happened to defeat Vampiro earlier in that same tournament). Sorry for hijacking the thread... My curiosity is now satisfied. |

Costello showcases his skills early with a rolling single leg and transitioning into a surfboard. Sleeperhold keeps the Bulldog down. Whip to the corner is reversed but Costello is quick to counter with a knee to the chest. Smith is rebounded off the ropes . . . sunset flip! Two count only (R5/P3). Running clotheslines from Smith. Tackle drops the Kangaroo. Face drop onto the buckle. Cobra Clutch suplex! 1, 2, kick out (R7/P4). Smith climbs to the top . . . slam to the mat! AUSTRAILIAN BACKDROP. Morgan Dollar barely hits the mat once (R10/P3). AUSTRAILIAN BACKDROP. 1, 2, ¾ (R5/P4). Ringside is rumbling! Marble Bor Leglock and running lariat. Sleeperhold. Backbreaker slam. Costello is all over the Bulldog. Smith rebounds off the ropes and drops Costello with a tackle. Cobra Clutch suplex. ANOTHER! OMG!. Dollar counts . . . Berry cannot distract. Kick out (R11/P5). Leg drop lands. Another Cobra Clutch suplex. Costello bails. Smith is out . . . Dr. Mike Lano pushed into Smith. Costello with a low blow… HEAT! Costello to the top . . . Smith slams him to the mat! POP! Delayed vertical suplex. Leg drop misses. Hammerlock slows it down. Smith into the ropes . . . flying tackle connects. Face drop on the turnbuckle. Back elbow stuns Costello. Cobra Clutch suplex! Costello bails. Smith comes out after his opponent. REVERSAL! SMITH INTO THE POST! Costello rebounds a bloodied Smith into a back elbow. Smith reverses a whip to the corner . . . Bulldog is backdropped to the floor! Costello comes out for a brief brawl on the floor. Back in the ring, Costello climbs the corner but Smith knocks the ropes and Costello crumbles to the mat. Smith off the top with a tackle. RUNNING POWER SLAM. Berry is on the apron! Smith chases him around the ring. Back inside, superplex. Smith with a tackle. Another superplex. Costello bails. Smith comes outside. They trade blows. CHOP BLOCK CRUMBLES SMITH! Back inside, Marble Bor Leglock. Smith struggles but rolls Costello to escape (R10/P5). Another Marble Bor Leglock. Running lariat misses! Costello with a surfboard. Aussie Suplex countered. Dropkick from Smith. Piledriver. ANOTHER ONE. 1, 2, 3 (R6/P6). Smith wins this war.
