Andre The Giant (9) v. Roy Heffernan w/”Wild” Red Berry (56)
Morgan Dollar sends Berry to the back . . . ROARING! Heffernan avoids a dropkick and actually traps Andre in a surfboard. Andre comes back. Turnbuckle squash . . . Heffernan crumbles to the floor. Slam onto the concrete . . . 7, 8, 9 Heffernan crawls back in. BIG SPLASH. 1, 2, 3 (R6/P8).
Yikes, as if Heffernan needed a further disadvantage when going against Andre and then Dollar sends his manager packing.
The next one should be closer....

I would be shocked to see Andre knocked out in the opening round... But, as we all know, those bookers can get a little overzealous with the DQ decisions just to keep everyone on their toes... Hope it doesn't happen here! Thanks for the comment. It is true that this event has a history of some questionable calls by the officials. It does keep things interesting.

Konnan (24) v. John Pesek (41)
Pesek has the upper hand early and grinds Konnan into the mat. Konnan lands a well-placed kick to the leg. Konnan gets rebounded off the ropes into a tackle. Pesek blocks a charge to the corner with a knee to the chest. The counters continue from both men. Pesek rebounds out of the corner into Konnan’s clothesline. Konnan with a Zip Lock but Pesek scores with a tackle coming off the ropes. Pesek works the upper body with a series of double bar hammerlocks. Konnan regains his feet and is flung off the ropes. Tackle from Konnan. Konnan with a top rope arm drag and twisting slam. Pesek counters and sends Konnan off the ropes. Inside cradle! One count only from Dick Woehrle (R10/P3). Zip Lock slows it down. Standing senton… misses! Waistlock slam. 1, 2, ¾ (R3/P2). TIGER MAN TOEHOLD. Konnan makes the ropes (R6/P4). Waistlock slam leads to a lateral press keylock. Konnan counters and they exchange back and forth ending with Konnan blocking a charge to the corner with a knee to the chest. Konnan’s bulldog is countered. Waistlock slam and then Konnan is rebounded into the ropes. Backdrop countered with a piledriver! German superplex! Standing senton… misses again! Waistlock slam… 1, 2, 3 (R4/P4). Konnan is out!
My fellow promotors were right on target with their support of Pesek. He defeated the legend of the Mexican rings but will he find success against the French Giant in the next round.
Battle of the powerhouses is up next!
Mark Henry (25) v. Ivan Koloff w/Captain Lou Albano(40)
FYI folks, it will be the new Koloff card in action.

Woot on Pesek.
This will hopefully be a tough tight battle. Henry's offense may just be enough.

If I'm being honest, I probably would have picked Konnan... Which is kinda funny because Pesek has always been an overachiever for me.
Gotta pick Mark Henry to advance... One of my favorite releases of 2023... But, that Koloff card is tough... Potential for a great match... Roll on!

Excellent action so far my friend. I'm happy to see Andre advance. I'm looking forward to how he fares. Vader vs. Race and Inoki vs. Shamrock are going to be killer.
I'm really liking the upcoming Mark Henry vs. Ivan Koloff bout. I'm going to pick Koloff but it could really go either way.

Mark Henry (25) v. Ivan Koloff w/Captain Lou Albano(40)
It is rare that a young barrel chested Ivan Koloff is overpowered but he was up against the “World’s Strongest Man” in the opening round. Koloff wisely keeps the action moving early and catches Henry with a back elbow to the chin. Koloff sends Henry off the ropes into a double forearm. Koloff mounts the corner but Henry regains his feet and knocks the Russian to the mat. ROARING! Bear hug has Koloff screaming from his own hold! WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM. Albano’s on the apron. Henry chases him to the floor. Koloff from behind! HEAT! Koloff tosses Henry back outside. Tearing it up! Morgan Dollar is counting. Koloff slows it down with a reverse chin lock… POWERS OUT. Rebounded into tackle. Koloff into the ropes… backdrop countered with a piledriver. BEAR HUG to Henry. Punches free (R7/P2). Back to the BEAR HUG. HENRY POWERS OUT! (R9/P3). Running splash. Whip to the corner reversed and Henry lands a kick. Monkey flip from Koloff. Henry stands on Koloff. Henry with a military press slam. And another! Head butts. Leg drop… misses. Henry rebounded into the ropes. Mid ring collision! EATING IT UP! Dollar counts… Koloff is up first. BEAR HUG. POWERS OUT AGAIN! (R11/P4). Koloff to the top . . . SLAM TO THE MAT! POP! Sliding rope straddle… misses. Koloff with a hard boot and tosses Henry outside. Back in the ring, Koloff off the top. Running splash lands. Scoop slam. Henry is tossed outside. Koloff follows. Henry shoves Dr. Mike Lano into Koloff! Henry with a head butt and back-to-back backbreakers. 1, 2, kick out (R6/P4). Bear hug from Henry. Koloff punches free (R8/P5). Henry is all over Koloff with another bear hug and a backbreaker. In the corner… Koloff with a lariat. Boots to the midsection and then a long standing surfboard. CHEERING FOR THE COMEBACK . . . It is back and forth. Another monkey flip. Henry blocks a choke attempt. Koloff reverses a whip to the corner and charges in . . . NO ONE HOME. Roll up . . . 1, 2, kick out (R8/P5). Bear hug… KOLOFF TAPS! (R3/P6).
Up next...
