yeah even though they should be in theory similar powerwise, Hooded AJ just always seems to outperform unhooded AJ (I use hooded AJ in Legends and unhooded AJ in Indys and you saw unhooded drop to Willie Mack the other day) I’ve had the exact opposite experience. When I got the two AJ cards I ran a best-of-seven series between them and unhooded beat hooded 4-2. Unhooded Styles also just beat Jerry Lynn for the World Title in my ROH Fed. But then again Thantos has accomplished very little in my COTG Fed so perhaps my dice just like to go against the norm. Sizing up the stats, I do believe that unhooded AJ has the stronger offense overall... If he comes in hot and keeps the momentum going, I think he could consistently defeat anyone in the game.

American Showdown Wrestling #24 EPIC GLORY CUP
Bravo Bracket: KEVIN STEEN def. AJ Styles via pinfall after an F-CINQ. -- Tokens: Steen 1 - Styles 5 -- Styles managed to offer some token resistance, but Steen just continued to pick up steam. A pair of powerbombs onto the apron left Styles in bad shape and Steen wrapped things up with relative ease.
Alpha Bracket: BRYAN DANIELSON def. Claudio Castagnoli via submission with a CROSSFACE CHICKENWING. -- Tokens: Danielson 6 - Castagnoli 3 -- Danielson was busted wide open following a giant swing into a corner post and still continued to fight. Transitioning smoothly from ferocious strikes to punishing holds, he mounted a major comeback.
Bravo Bracket: BRODIE LEE def. Eddie Kingston via pinfall <into the ropes> after a spinebuster. -- Tokens: Kingston 5 -- Kingston struggled to find an opening against Lee, who dominated the majority of the action. When Kingston tried a clever rebound maneuver off the ropes, Lee caught him with one hand and drove him down into a successful pinning combination.
Alpha Bracket: AUSTIN ARIES def. Tommaso Ciampa via pinfall <deathjump> with a diving crossbody block from the top rope. -- Tokens: Ciampa 2 -- Both men fought hard during this exchange, but Ciampa could not chain together enough high impact offense to present a serious threat to Aries and his unique brand of intensity.
Bravo Bracket: RHINO def. Adam Pearce via pinfall after a GORE! -- Tokens: Pearce 1 -- Relying on brute force, Rhino countered every attempt by Pearce to take firm control of the situation. As soon as the right moment presented itself, Rhino was ready and hit the big finish.
Alpha Bracket: HOMICIDE def. Nigel McGuinness via DQ <out of the ring> when McGuinness smashed Homicide with a blatant chairshot. -- Tokens: McGuinness 2 -- Fed up with Homicide's underhanded tactics, McGuinness decided to take matters into his own hands. The referee was not in the mood to offer any warnings, resulting in a questionable decision.
Scoring after round four:
Alpha Bracket Homicide 7 Austin Aries 6 Nigel McGuinness 4 Bryan Danielson 4 Claudio Castagnoli 2 Tommaso Ciampa 0
Bravo Bracket Eddie Kingston 6 Rhino 6 Adam Pearce 4 Brodie Lee 4 Kevin Steen 3 AJ Styles 0

Will Styles win at all?
Solid so far and looking forward to seeing who takes each bracket.

Will Styles win at all? Solid so far and looking forward to seeing who takes each bracket. Unfortunately, it is now impossible for Styles to avoid the cellar. HOWEVER... I'm pretty stoked that neither bracket has been decided yet... In the Alpha bracket, it's between Homicide and Aries... Nigel getting disqualified in the previous round actually prevented Homicide from clinching the bracket... He faces Ciampa (who is currently in the same boat as Styles) in the final round and if Aries manages to defeat Castagnoli in their encounter, Homicide will have to win in order to advance. In the Bravo bracket, everything gets decided in a match between the two individuals that are tied for the top spot - Kingston and Rhino... The suspense builds, my friend. HA!

American Showdown Wrestling #25 EPIC GLORY CUP
Alpha Bracket: BRYAN DANIELSON def. Nigel McGuinness via pinfall after a REGALPLEX. -- Tokens: Danielson 2 - McGuinness 1 -- Both men fought like something grand was at stake, expressing their desire to remain out of the bottom half of the bracket. McGuinness telegraphed a slingshot lariat off the ropes and Danielson quickly capitalized on his mistake.
Bravo Bracket: AJ STYLES def. Brodie Lee via pinfall after a STYLES CLASH. -- Tokens: Lee 2 -- Pride was the only thing on the line as Styles fought with desperation to pick up his first win in the series.
Alpha Bracket: AUSTIN ARIES def. Claudio Castagnoli via DQ <out of the ring> when Castagnoli slammed Aries through a table. -- Tokens: Aries 1 - Castagnoli 1 -- This was a must win scenario for Aries if he wanted a chance to win the bracket and he pulled out all the stops to make it happen. Narrowly avoiding disqualification, he executed a frog splash through a ringside table that left both men lying in a heap. Castagnoli returned the favor in short order, but the referee decided that he had witnessed enough. Since Homicide had defeated Aries in their earlier head-to-head encounter, this decision clinched the bracket.
Bravo Bracket: ADAM PEARCE def. Kevin Steen via pinfall after a JUMPING PILEDRIVER. -- Tokens: Pearce 2 - Steen 1 -- Even though neither of these two men were in a position to win the bracket, this match would decide which of them finished in the upper half. Steen became a victim of his own impatience which provided Pearce with the opening he needed.
Alpha Bracket: HOMICIDE def. Tommaso Ciampa via pinfall after DA GRINGO KILLER. -- Tokens: Homicide 3 - Ciampa 2 -- This was an interesting encounter, pitting the only undefeated man in the entire tournament against the only one that had yet to score a single victory in the bracket. Ciampa refused to make it easy, but Homicide completed his sweep.
Bravo Bracket: EDDIE KINGSTON def. Rhino via pinfall after a BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE. -- Tokens: Rhino 3 -- With a first place finish up for grabs, Kingston initiated a Chop Battle with Rhino to kick things off and promptly took control. This seemed to establish the tone for the match as Rhino had difficulty sustaining any kind of momentum. This outcome set the stage for an Epic Glory final between longtime Outlaw Inc. allies, Kingston and Homicide!
Final scoring:
Alpha Bracket * Homicide 9 Austin Aries 7 Bryan Danielson 6 x- Nigel McGuinness 4 x- Claudio Castagnoli 2 x- Tommaso Ciampa 0
Bravo Bracket * Eddie Kingston 8 Rhino 6 Adam Pearce 6 x- Brodie Lee 4 x- Kevin Steen 3 x- AJ Styles 2
* Advancing to the Epic Glory Cup final which will take place on the next card.
x- Ineligible to compete in the next EPIC Glory Cup tournament.
