These are always fun, and relatively simple to make your own as well. I think this one is designed to branch off one of 200 randomized items per month. But you can do whatever you want. perchance.org/universemoderandomevents

Pariah, I like your idea of lowering DQ rating, as it does represent a lot of modern wrestling. I'd have to go back through my live card notes but I don't recall a lot of DQs on real-life IPW cards. One thought if you still wanted to have some level of DQs is that you could use the lowered ratings on the Vault TV shows and regular ratings on the house shows. Or the other way around if you want the TV to build toward the house shows. Just a thought! Our Canadian fans can speak more to this but I believe in Stampede, they had a card system, somewhat similar to soccer. A wrestler received a yellow card for the first infraction, a red for the second, and then was DQ'd on the third. I believe Chad Olson used a similar system for his CWA, which you can hear about on Episode 109 of Uncharted Territory! British wrestling back in the World of Sport days gave a wrestler two public warnings then a disqualification on the third offence.

Jim Breaks always seemed to be at two public warnings.

I've been using this rule for the 256-man Legends tournament that I'm currently running except with only one public warning... It's a rule that I've used before while running a Lucha Underground style fed and I've gotta say that I'm VERY happy with it... Not sure why I stopped using it and it's definitely going to be a house rule that I carry over into my IPW/Midwest indies project.

It's definitely a good one. Think I'm going to incorporate it as well. Should cut cheap disqualifications down and I could roll dq simply once after two infractions.

It also gives the wrestler a chance to 'tame down' their brutality - i.e. stop tossing opponent out of the ring - if they're on the DQ bubble... Not a strategy that can be employed when simply rolling twice for DQ.

So what does everyone thing about rolling on the Hurt Referee card when someone rolls double sixes when rolling their PIN? It doesn't come up that often and could reflect one of those chaotic finishes.

It doesn't come up that often and could reflect one of those chaotic finishes. Hi Interesting House Rule! I had an unwritten one like this except it was that a roll of "12" was a kick-out/escape by the Wrestler on Defense, no matter how high his PIN was over "11", EXCEPT when the Wrestler on Offense had rolled their Finisher (because Finishers are called "Finishers" for a reason)! Also, I think there was a House Rule floated around years back about a roll of "12" after a Finisher would mean the Wrestler on Defense REVERSES the move and executes their version of said Finisher (MINUS one on the Wrestler on Offense's Finisher Rating)! Although as I said, the House Rule you are suggesting would prove interesting! Todd C WTIC
