Friday Night Fury -- Meadowlands Arena (East Rutherford, N.J.) -- Mar. 24, 2023
Gordon Solie welcomes the viewers to the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, N.J. for tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury that features the in-ring debut of "Ravishing" Rick Rude, Kurt Angle vs Bruiser Brody and Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard's challenge for the Tag Team championship. To the action ...
The Long Riders ("Wild" Bill Irwin & Scott "Hog" Irwin) defeated The Mulkey Brothers by pin
The Long Riders barely worked up a sweat in dispatching the Mulkeys with a Hog Superplex putting away Bill Mulkey.
Molly Holly defeated Sensational Sherri by pin
The former champion scored a couple of near falls early in the match before it became all Holly, with Molly finally getting the 3-count after a third Flipping Seated Senton.
Sam Houston defeated Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. (with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper) by pin
Gordon Solie interviewed Orton & Piper prior to the match. When the topic turned to their vicious assault on Bob Backlund & Arnold Skaaland last Friday night, they cut the interview short with Piper declaring "Sooner or later, everybody pays the Piper!" and a fired-up Orton charged the ring to take out his frustrations on the waiting Houston. Shortly after the bell sounded, Backlund came out of the crowd and blindsided Piper, touching off a wild fight. Houston seized the opportunity and dropkicked and covered the distracted Orton for a quick 3-count while Piper and Backlund brawled their way back to the dressing room.
Big John Studd (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated "Jumping" Jim Brunzell by disqualification
Brunzell's quickness was giving Studd fits, so Heenan tried to even the score by slipping a foreign object to the big man, but Brunzell interecepted it. They don't call him "The Brain" for nothing as Heenan quickly notified referee Joey Marella that Brunzell had it and stole a DQ victory for Studd.
"Ravishing" Rick Rude (with DCWF TV Champion "The Franchise" Shane Douglas & "Head Cheerleader" Francine) defeated "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe by pin
Rude wasted little time, finishing Sharpe with the Rude Awakening.
King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated B. Brian Blair by pin (5-count)
After some offense from Blair, Bundy got the 5-count with the Atlantic City Avalanche.
Bruiser Brody defeated Kurt Angle by pin
Angle was incredulous after Brody scored the fall by rolling through a sunset flip attempt early in the match (rolled snake eyes).
Tag Team Title -- Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard (with J.J. Dillon) defeated Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown (with Ivory) (c) by disqualification
An entertaining back-and-forth affair came to an unsatisfying finish when Ivory was caught trying to slip brass knuckles to her charges, leading to the champions' disqualification. She was understandably upset since Blanchard had gotten away with using that very same hardware earlier in the match and she got into a shouting match with the still groggy Dillon (who had been flattened in an in-ring collision earlier in the match) as the show closed. Note: There were 12 combined tokens accumulated (Henry 4, Windham 4, Brown 3, Blanchard 1).

Looks like we're heading towards a showdown between the Killer Bees and the Heenan Family pairing of Studd & Bundy... Which has the potential to be highly entertaining.
Houston scores a pretty significant upset over the Ace Cowboy... And the post-match shenanigans lead to more heat between Piper and Backlund... Very cool!

Monday Night Mayhem -- TD Garden (Boston, Mass.) -- Mar. 27, 2023
Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan welcome the viewers to the TD Garden in Boston for this week's edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Before Monsoon can preview the card that is headlined by "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. vs Bob Backlund & Arnold Skaaland, an excited Heenan shares the news that Commissioner Teddy Long finally did something right and King Harley Race will get his title shot against Big Van Vader this Friday Night on Fury. To the action ...
George "The Animal" Steele defeated George South by disqualification
South was disqualified for a low blow while he and Steele were brawling outside the ring.
Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay & Scotty 2 Hotty) defeated The Love Brothers by pin
There finally was a clean finish to a match involving the dastardly Love Brothers (they'd been DQ'd in their previous five outings), but unfortunately for them, they came out on the short end after Grandmaster Sexay hit his Hip Hop Drop on "Rotten" Reginald while Scotty 2 Hotty kept "Horrible" Hartford from interfering.
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (with "Luscious" Johnny Valiant) defeated Val Venis via submission
Venis couldn't escape The Hammer's figure-four leglock.
Madison Rayne defeated Rockin' Robin by disqualification
Robin was disqualified during a wild brawl on the arena floor while trying to gather herself after Rayne had stunned her with a Northern Lights suplex.
"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Dynamite Kid by disqualification
The Dynamite Kid was DQ'd after superplexing Valiant through the announcers' table.
Nikolai Volkoff (with Classy Freddie Blassie) defeated Hillbilly Jim by pin
Volkoff rolled over Hillbilly Jim, ending the match with a Backbreaker Drop.
Sgt. Slaughter defeated Davey Boy Smith via submission
Both combatants picked up 4 tokens in a rugged affair that ended when Davey Boy tapped out to Slaughter's Cobra Clutch.
Bob Backlund & Arnold Skaaland defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. by disqualification
The bad blood between these four only intensified after Piper busted Skaaland wide open with a chair shot that led to a disqualification. Piper & Orton stormed off as an enraged Backlund grabbed the mic and called them both chickens before tending to his fallen manager.

Friday Night Fury -- Madison Square Garden (New York, N.Y.) -- Mar. 31, 2023
Gordon Solie welcomes the viewers to The World's Most Famous Arena for tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury that is headlined by Big Van Vader's defense of the DCWF World Championship against King Harley Race, "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs "Ravishing" Rick Rude, Adrian Adonis vs "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and The Magnificent Muraco vs "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig. To the action ...
The Sandman defeated Tom "Rocky" Stone by pin

Brutus Beefcake (with "Luscious" Johnny Valiant) defeated Nacho Barrera by pin
A Jumping High Knee from Beefcake turned out Barrera's lights.
Leilani Kai (with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart) defeated Trish Stratus by pin
Stratus had a couple of high spots, but ultimately, was no match for Kai who scored the fall following a Running Lariat.
The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) defeated The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James & "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) by disqualification
Ellering told Solie that The Legion of Doom are primed and ready to take the tag team belts from Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown and they'll prove it by dispatching The New Age Outlaws tonight. While their showing wasn't everything Ellering promised, The Road Warriors did claim the victory after James was DQ'd for blasting Hawk with a steel chair.
"Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig defeated The Magnificent Muraco (with Mr. Fuji) by pin
Mr. Perfect was firing on all cylinders tonight, unleashing his entire arsenal on Muraco (6 tokens) before finally scoring the fall when he rolled through a sunset-flip attempt.
Adrian Adonis (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and his personal bodyguard Mr. Hughes) defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan by submission
The former champ was in a bit of trouble until Heenan turned the tide by slipping Adonis a foreign object. Duggan never recovered and the end came via Goodnight Irene.
"Ravishing" Rick Rude (with DCWF TV Champion "The Franchise" Shane Douglas & "Head Cheerleader" Francine) defeated "Macho Man" Randy Savage by pin
Savage kicked out following a Rude Awakening, but Rude wasn't deterred and piledrove the Macho Man on the arena floor then hit a second Rude Awakening for the victory.
World Championship -- Big Van Vader (c) defeated King Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and his personal bodyguard Mr. Hughes) by pin
Solie wanted to get a word from the champ prior to the match, but Vader blew right past him and went after Race. The wild charge proved foolhardy, as Race was ready for him and hit a variety of suplexes before the champ finally established some offense of his own. Heenan interjected himself into the match multiple times and nearly stole the gold when he slipped Race a foreign object, but Vader (6 tokens) kicked out at 2-and-9/10ths. A Vader release power bomb looked like it was going to spell the end for the King (3 tokens), but Hughes & Heenan stormed the ring, with The Brain taking the worst of it when Vader ducked a roundhouse right from Hughes that knocked Heenan out cold. After tossing Hughes through the ropes, Vader hit a second release power bomb to retain the title.

Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (sporting a black eye) welcome the viewers to the KeyBank Center in Buffalo for this week's edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Monsoon tells The Brain that he can't help but notice that his bodyguard, Mr. Hughes, is missing tonight and Heenan retorts that he was fired after Friday night's snafu. They then preview the card that features the debut of "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and Sam Houston's challenge for "The Franchise" Shane Douglas' TV Title. To the action ...
Princess Victoria defeated Melina by disqualification
Melina was disqualified after driving Victoria through the Spanish announcers' table with a reverse DDT.

Ivory reversed a sunset-flip attempt to upset Holly.
The Iron Sheik (with "Classy" Freddie Blassie) defeated Koko B. Ware by submission
After some early offense from Ware, The Iron Sheik locked in the Camel Clutch to gain the victory
Pat Patterson defeated Al Snow by pin
Snow's recent run of success came to a halt when Patterson ducked a running-clothesline attempt and Snow knocked himself out crashing into the turnbuckle.
The Brisco Brothers defeated Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito (with Captain Lou Albano) by pin
The Briscos put on a tag-team clinic in the opening minutes, isolating Saito (7 tokens) before Fuji could legally interject himself into the match. Once he did, Albano's charges took command scoring several near falls on both Jack and Jerry, before Jack finally put away Saito with a reverse cradle. Note: There were 13 total tokens accumulated: Saito 7, Jack 3, Jerry 2, Fuji 1
Rob Van Dam (with Bill Alfonso) defeated "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka by pin
Van Dam had surprisingly little trouble with Snuka in what was basically a squash, earning the victory with a standing moonsault followed by Rolling Thunder.
TV Title -- "The Franchise" Shane Douglas (with "Head Cheerleader" Francine & "Ravishing" Rick Rude) (c) defeated Sam Houston by pin
After an early pin attempt by Houston, The Franchise rolled over the challenger and scored the fall with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. To add insult to injury, "Ravishing" Rick Rude administered a savage post-match beatdown on Houston, capped off with a Rude Awakening.

"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert defeated The Unpredictable Johnny Rodz by countout

Garea scored the 3-count on Bill following a doubleteam facelock sunset flip.
Solie welcomes "Rowdy" Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton, Jr. to the set and before he can get another word in, Piper grabs the mic and goes full bore ripping into Bob Backlund, finishing it off with "You want to yap like a little dog? You need to put on this collar, you little bitch (as Orton holds a pair of connected dog collars aloft). I'll show you who's the big dog in the DCWF on Monday night!" and then the two storm off.
Kurt Angle defeated S.D. Jones by pin
Angle squashed Jones, getting the win via an Olympic Slam.
The Killer Bees defeated Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) by submission
The Bees used their speed and quickness to embarrass Studd (7 tokens) and would have claimed the victory much earlier if not for the repeated interference by Heenan and multiple saves by Bundy. The end finally came when Studd couldn't escape a double toehold.
Bruiser Brody defeated Sgt. Slaughter by disqualification
A promising matchup was derailed when Slaughter grabbed a chair shortly after the opening bell and flattened both referee James Beard and Brody before storming off.
Women's Championship -- Fabulous Moolah (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Judy Martin (with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart) by pin
Moolah easily retained the gold, even using Hart's megaphone on Martin, before finally pinning her with a Jackknife cradle. She then grabbed Solie's mic and demanded that Commissioner Teddy Long find her some real competition. Long came out and said that he's working on it and will have a big announcement real soon.

All caught up, my friend... And the action just keeps coming!
Vader remains at the top of the mountain following a very strong challenge by Race... Can anyone topple the Mastodon?
Enjoying the program between the Road Warriors and Outlaws... And that tag team encounter between pitting the Briscos against Saito & Fuji was simply exceptional... Awesome stuff!

The Mulkeys were giving as good as they were getting until the Dynamite Kid caught Bill with a hooking clothesline to score the fall.
"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Hillbilly Jim by disqualification
After Valiant hit a Boogie Woogie Elbow, Hillbilly Jim snapped and wouldn't release a chokehold that left referee Joey Marella no choice but to disqualify him.
The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine with "Luscious" Johnny Valiant) defeated The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James & "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn) by disqualification
Shortly after the opening bell, the Outlaws were disqualified when the Road Dogg DDT'd Valentine through the French announcers' table.
The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (with "Classy" Freddie Blassie) defeated Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay & Scotty 2 Hotty) by countout
Blassie's men put on a clinic, never allowing Scotty 2 Hotty to legally enter the match (though he did break up the Iron Sheik's Camel Clutch twice), and worked over Grandmaster Sexay until he couldn't beat the 10-count following a Volkoff running stomp on the arena floor.
Tag Team Championship -- Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard (with J.J. Dillon) defeated Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown (with Ivory) (c) by disqualification
It looked like we were going to have new champions after Windham hit a pair of Sweetwater Suplexes on Brown, but Ivory intervened and was sent back to the dressing room by referee Dick Woehrle. Blanchard then hit a slingshot suplex on Brown but Henry broke up the pin with a Big Splash then tossed Woehrle out of the ring to earn a DQ and save the belts.
Dog Collar Match -- "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated Bob Backlund by referee stoppage
Both men used the connecting chain several times, but it quickly became apparent that Backlund was out of his element in this contest. Piper pulled out all his tricks in this one, using a foreign object and repeatedly biting Backlund's forehead to bust him wide open. After hanging Backlund over the top rope with the chain for what seemed like an eternity, Piper dragged him back into the ring to apply his sleeper and referee James Beard called for the bell with Backlund (6 tokens) not responsive.

Al Snow defeated The Sandman by pin
These old rivals went at it tooth-and-nail with The Sandman finally succumbing to a Snow Plow.
Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito (with Captain Lou Albano) defeated Tony Garea & Larry Zbyszko by pin
Everything was going Garea & Zbyszko's way (0 tokens) and they would've claimed the victory after Zbyszko hit a vertical suplex on Fuji (4 tokens) if not for the interference by Captain Lou. Then, out-of-nowhere, Saito (2 tokens) hit a moonsault on Zbyszko for the surprise 3-count.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated Adrian Adonis (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) by pin
Heenan paid the price for his constant meddling when Savage whipped him into and over the turnbuckle after he broke up a pin attempt. Alas, Adonis couldn't capitalize on the distraction and the former World Champion was pinned following a Macho Man piledriver.
The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) defeated The Love Brothers by pin
A Doomsday Device on "Horrible" Hartford was all she wrote for The Love Brothers.
"Wildfire" Tommy Rich defeated The Magnificent Muraco (with Mr. Fuji) by submission
In a dominating performance, Rich beat Muraco (5 tokens) from pillar-to-post before ending the match with The Wildfire Sleeper.
King Harley Race (with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan) defeated "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka by disqualification
Superfly controlled the early going before Race began to assert himself with a swinging neckbreaker and a back suplex. The action then spilled outside the ring and Snuka was DQ'd after laying Race out with the timekeeper's bell.
TV Title Championship -- "The Franchise" Shane Douglas (with "Ravishing" Rick Rude & Francine) (c) defeated Val Venis by disqualification
Solie interviewed Douglas and his entourage before the match and the fired-up champ nearly scored a quick fall with a Pittsburgh Plunge before Venis got his footing in the match. When the action moved out of the ring, Venis tossed Rude over the barricade and was working The Franchise over before he took things a bit too far and was disqualified after laying Douglas on a table and hitting a Money Shot that drove him to the arena floor.

Van Dam put away Milliman with a Five-Star Frog Splash.

Angle made short work of Duggan, scoring the fall with a powerbomb.
Tag Team Championship (No Holds Barred, Managers banned from ringside) -- Barry Windham & Tully Blanchard defeated Mark Henry & D'Lo Brown (c) by pin
Windham had his Black Jack Claw locked in on Brown (2 tokens) when Henry dropped an elbow on him and draped D'Lo atop Windham to nearly claim the victory in their 7th defense. After that, it was all Windham & Blanchard and after Windham hit a Lariat on the World's Strongest Man (3 tokens), we have new DCWF Tag Team Champions. Backstage, Ivory could be seen giving an earful to Commissioner Teddy Long while shoving some papers in his chest.
