Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the show and promise to stay out of the way as much as possible and let the matches speak for themselves. Solie introduces the first match.

1. Kurt Angle & Brian Danielson vs. Curt Hennig & Jim Brunzell - tag team first round
Danielson and Hennig start the match. Danielson quickly has Hennig reeling and hits a suicide dive. Danielson wears Hennig down with a guillotine choke and tags in Angle. Hennig and Angle battle back and forth. Angle rolls Hennig up in a small package for a two count. Angle hits an Olympic Slam for a two count. Angle locks on the Ankle Lock but Brunzell makes the save. Angle hits an Olympic Slam for a two count and tags in Danielson. Danielson locks on the guillotine choke for the win.

Winners - Kurt Angle & Bryan Danielson by submission

2. Stan Hansen & Abdullah the Butcher vs. The Patriot & Brian Blair - tag team first round
Hansen and Abdullah argue about who is going to start the match. Abdullah shoves Hansen and starts the match with Blair. Abdullah gouges Blair with a foreign object and covers him for a two count. Abdullah hits the Sudanese Meat Cleaver but the Patriot breaks the pin. Hansen shouts for a tag and Abdullah slaps him in the face. The ref calls it legal but Hansen is fuming. Blair goes on a tear and makes the hot tag to the Patriot. The Patriot drills Hansen with a clothesline for a two count. The Patriot goes for a flying body press but Hansen catches him and power slams him for a two count. Hansen hits the Patriot with two Lariats for the win.

Winners - Hansen and Abdullah by pinfall

Hansen and Abdullah brawl after the match until security pulls them apart.

3. Dick Hutton & Vampiro vs. Tommy Gilbert & Ken Shamrock - tag team first round
Vampiro and Gilbert start the match. Gilbert gets some momentum going and tags in Shamrock. Shamrock locks on the rolling knee bar but Vampiro escapes the hold. Vampiro makes a comeback and tags in Hutton. Shamrock locks Hutton in the rolling knee bar but Hutton reaches the ropes. Shamrock locks on the Ankle Lock but Hutton escapes the hold. Shamrock tags in Gilbert. Gilbert hits a dropkick for a two count. Hutton hits a side salto for a two count and locks on the cowboy backbreaker. Gilbert taps out.

Winners - Hutton & Vampiro by submission

William Muldoon gets halfway to the ring and gestures to the back. The curtain parts revealing BIG VAN VADER!

4. Vader & Muldoon vs. Greg Valentine & Johnny Valentine - tag team first round
Vader and Greg Valentine start the match. Vader comes out throwing bombs and hits a front slam. Muldoon takes out Johnny Valentine while the referee makes the three count.

Winners - Vader & Muldoon by pinfall

After a fifteen minute intermission, the second round matches begin.

5. Vader Vs. Muldoon - 2nd round
Muldoon wrestles at his methodical pace and wears Vader down with a hammerlock & half nelson. Vader hits a power elbow drop but Muldoon kicks out at one. Vader hits a Vader Bomb for a two count. Vader hits a second Vader Bomb but Muldoon kicks out. Vader hits a bone crushing splash for the win.

Winner - Vader by pinfall

Ventura says Vader is one of the few people who has multiple wins over LWF World Heavyweight champion Lou Thesz.

6. Angle Vs. Vampiro - 2nd round
Vampiro and Angle battle back and forth. Vampiro hits the Nail in the Coffin for a two count. Angle makes a comeback and locks on the Ankle Lock but Vampiro escapes the hold. Vampiro turns things back around and hits another Nail in the Coffin for a two count. Angle and Vampiro battle back and forth. Vampiro hits an uranage for a two count. Angle makes a comeback and locks on the Ankle Lock but Vampiro escapes the hold. Angle hits a German Suplex. Vampiro comes back and hits another uranage for the win.

7. Danielson Vs. Hutton - 2nd round
Danielson quickly rocks Hutton with kicks and locks on the LeBell Lock but Hutton is able to reach the ropes. Danielson wears Hutton down with two Guillotine Chokes. Danielson locks on the LeBell Lock and Hutton taps out.

Winner - Bryan Danielson by submission

8. Abdullah Vs. Hansen - 2nd round
Abdullah takes control at the bell. Abdullah bloodies Hansen with a foreign object and nails him with a karate thrust to the throat. Hansen bounces back and clobbers Abdullah with a lariat for a two count. Hansen hits the Borger Body Slam for the win.

Ventura and Solie welcome the fans to the second night of the Golden Gate Cup. Solie introduces the first match.

1. William Muldoon vs. Ken Shamrock
Shamrock takes control at the bell and nails Muldoon with the hip attack for a one count. Sharmock wears Muldoon down with the rolling knee bar. Muldoon catches Shamrock with a small package for a two count to turn things around. Muldoon hits the body lift and throw for a two count. Shamrock and Muldoon battle back and forth. Shamrock hits a belly to belly suplex outside the ring but Muldoon is able to beat the count. Shamrock hits two belly to belly suplexes for two near falls. Shamrock locks on the Ankle Lock and Muldoon taps out.

Winner - Ken Shamrock by pinfall

2. Vader vs. Vamprio - 3rd round
Vader squashes Vampiro at the bell and hits a power bomb but Vampiro gets his foot on the ropes. Vader hits a second power bomb for the win.

3. Hansen vs. Danielson - 3rd round
Hansen and Danielson battle back and forth. Danielson gets some momentum going and locks on the Guillotine Choke but Hansen is able to reach the ropes. Danielson locks on the guillotine choke a second time and Hansen taps out.

4. Brody & Mosca Vs. The Fabulous Kangaroos - LWF World Tag Team title match
Mosca and Costello start the match. Mosca and Costello battle back and forth. Mosca wears Costello down with the sleeper and tags in Brody. Brody crushes Costello with the jumping knee drop but Heffernan makes the save. Brody and Heffernan battle outside the ring and Heffernan nails him with a chair shot. The referee calls for the bell.

Winners - Brody and Mosca by DQ, their third title defense

5. Vader vs. Danielson - finals
Vader comes out swinging and mauls Danielson. Vader hits a power bomb for a two count. Vader hits two Vader Bombs for the win.

Winner - Vader by pinfall! Vader has won the Golden Gate Cup!

6. Lou Thesz vs. Gotch - LWF World Heavyweight title match
Thesz goes to work on Gotch at the bell and nails him with the Thesz Press for a two count. Thesz hits the Greco Roman backdrop but Gotch kicks out. Thesz wears Gotch down with the STF and hits another Thesz Press but Gotch kicks out. Thesz hits the Greco Roman Backdrop for the win.

Winner - Lou Thesz by pinfall, his fourth title defense

After the match, Frank Gotch gets on the mic. He says he was offered a spot on the LWF Executive Committee and active wrestlers aren’t allowed so he’s retired as of now. He says he’ll make the LWF a better place if he gets his way.

I’ve decided that two one hour weekend shows is too much. It’s leading to a large roster that I’m having trouble keeping track of. I’m cutting it down to one weekend show, LWF Universe. I’m also planning on making some pretty big moves as you’ll soon see. There are some things I’ve never attempted before that I want to try.

LWF Universe 5.26
Gorilla and the Brain open the show. Gorilla says that Frank Gotch has been on the LWF executive committee for only a couple days and all hell has broken loose. Bruiser Brody and Angelo Mosca rejected their new contract and jumped to another organization, taking the World Tag Team titles with them. In retaliation, Gotch released most of the tag team division. He’s also instituted a multitude of new rules designed to keep the action in the ring and reactivated the LWF Ladies division. The Brain says he welcomes whatever crazy changes Frank Gotch pushes through and introduces the first match.

1. Antonino Rocca vs. Tom Stone
Rocca takes the early advantage and forces Stone to the ropes. The referee gets between them and Stone gets the advantage. Rocca battles back and nails Stone with a series of dropkicks. Rocca goes to the top despite the referee’s protests and hits a flying body press for a two count. Rocca locks on the Argentine Backbreaker and Stone submits.

Winner - Rocca by submission

Gorilla puts over Rocca but wonders how the new rules will impact the rest of the roster. The Brain introduces the next match.

2. Trish Stratus Vs. Ida May Martinez
Stratus and Martinez battle back and forth, Martinez getting pops from the crowd with her yodels. Stratus proves to be the superior athlete but can’t keep Martinez on the mat. Stratus hits a spinebuster for a two count. Stratus shoves Martinez through the ropes and the referee threatens to disqualify her. Stratus and Martinez battle back and forth. Martinez has spunk but can’t counter Stratus’ athleticism. Stratus hits Air Canada for a two count. Stratus hits the Chick Kick for the win.

Winner - Trish Stratus by pinfall

The Brain says he’s very Stratusfied and has a huge grin on his face. Gorilla tells him to keep it in his pants and introduces the next match.

3. Cowboy Bob Orton Vs. Ron Hutchison
Orton goes to work on Hutch and hits a superplex but Hutch gets his foot on the ropes. Orton hits the Orton Bomb for the win.

Winner - Cowboy Bob Orton by pinfall

The Brain says Orton’s wrist is actually getting worse. Gorilla introduces the main event.

4. Johnny Valentine vs. Red Bastien
Bastien gets the early momentum and throws Valentine to the mat after a clinch in the ropes. Bastien hits the atomic drop for a two count. Valentine and Bastien grapple into the ropes several times. Bastien shifts the momentum. Valentine turns things around and hits the atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine hits a second atomic skullcrusher for the win.

Winner - Johnny Valentine by pinfall
