This is such a loss. A unique talent that never failed to entertain. Stunned.

And he was only 38 years old... This shocked me as much anything... To have accomplished so much and become such a commanding presence both inside and outside of the ring... Like @kevinb has stated - He IS a Legend and has been a Legend for quite some time.

RIP. Heaven's wrestling ring will have another superstar. Earth is missing a good man and father.

The cherry on top of this is that today is Mark Briscoe's birthday.

To be honest, I was gutted when I heard the news this morning. The Briscoe Brothers were one of the best tag teams in the last 30 years. I saw them twice, at ROH shows in Baltimore. They were amazing. Jay and Mark really knew how to tell a story in the ring... not just high spot after high spot after high spot. They took the fans on a ride. Mark was great, but Jay was better. A well deserved 2-time ROH Heavyweight Champion. My heart hurts today... for him, his wife and kids, his brother and their whole family... fans included. It feels like I just lost a best friend.
I met him once at a meet and greet... he was the kind of guy you think "Man, I could sit and have a few beers with him". A class act. He will be missed.

I saw them twice, at ROH shows in Baltimore. . Something that made me so sad thinking about the news is anytime I saw them on the East Coast, their family was there. It got bigger and bigger. It was awesome to see it go from Mama & Papa Briscoe to wives, kids, and family friends. It was great to see.

This one actually hurt...he easily is one of my favorites and I (along with my son Marcus) have seen him wrestle probably about six or seven times...
First time was a match between Jay Lethal/Martini and Jay Brisco/ODB... the thing that sticks out is ODB trying to powerbomb Martini through a table but they would try like three times but it wouldn't break...each time sounded more painful than the last.
The last time we saw him wrestling was a title match between him and Lethal... they ended up on the floor and Brisco saw Marcus's sign "throw him here" and Brisco pointed to him and started to pick up Lethal to toss him toward us... quickly Marcus flipped the sign that read "Jay Brisco needs to man up..Lethal Rules!"... Brisco laughed and then tossed Lethal the other way. After the match, Brisco walked by us and told Marcus that was a great sign.
It's too bad that his past comments stopped him from being hired into the big two...however, WWE would have mishandled him and his brother- probably having the two fight one another... besides I don't think he had "that look" for the big time.
