In my opinion, you should have had a third choice in the poll. One for "meh". I am neither for or against it. I have pretty much always looked at the rules as a guideline but not set in stone. I am going to do what I want. I respect the rules and those that follow them to the T but it is not for me. Heck, I adjust stats on the cards myself sometimes. That being said, I am not a big fan of things being in the handbook that are needed to play. About one of the few things I use is the Basilisk chart for early advantage. I too do not want to have to keep looking at books for things just so I can play the game. It is why I wish the COTG Wiki was up to date, at least as far as finishers for wrestlers. Sometimes I forget what a move is and mostly I need to know if it leads to a pin or a submission. I'm in the "I don't want to have to carry the handbook around if I don't have to" camp. I haven't played COTG in years but I didn't like Max Shield getting downgraded in the handbook whatever year that was. On a related note, I didn't like Tiger Mask's out of the ring chart being in the Legends handbook either. The only saving grace for the Tiger Mask chart, as well as The Basilisk chart, is they are on the back of the handbook so no need to open it up and look for it.

This was supposed to be one of the benefits of Online--guys could go through minor upgrades on their way to full upgrades, or minor downgrades as they aged. And it was done for the first few sets--Adam Blast and Pulsar would get slight boosts, and Pulsar got the "Solar Strain" as a L3O move a year or two before becoming Pulsar Prime. Nexus at some point went from a -4 Agility to -3, and maybe a -2 as well. But like a lot of the initially advertised benefits of Online it petered out.
I'm generally with Swarm on this but I'm okay with rare exceptions: there was that year, I forget when, that Monolith got injured in an attack and had to deal with an injury for only that game edition. Since it was a one-off, I was okay with it rather than giving us a 1-year SE card. And then Dreadnaught's chances of Death kept going up as the years went by and it was time to be fully rid of him (until Tom finally just straight-up said one year, "Dreadnaught died, RIP, he's no longer in the Fed")--we didn't need more Dreadnaught cards, either.
Ditto on having charts in the handbooks. I hope all of these charts make their way into the Ringside Companion at some point.

As the handbook is already included as a pdf, maybe a printer-friendly page where new card stats can be printed as a "new" card fascimile.
Sort of like the setup in the linkThis is nice. Plastic Sleeves FTW! Two cards in a plastic sleeve and you have the art you want and the stats you prefer. See: George The Animal Steele. I’m also a big fan of using post-it notes on sleeves, mainly for some of the rookie cards that blew up and are no longer available for updates
