Wrestle War was a fun event even though I only went 2-5 with my predictions.
Great win for Harley Race! The nice thing about LOW is that Hulk Hogan can't play his creative control card here. Race vs Vader should be a good match.
Too bad The Express couldn't take the belts from The Briscos although they gave them a run for their money.
Looking forward to seeing a rematch between The Road Warriors and Gordy & Williams.
I suspect that the Rhodes/Magnum feud will need a bloody specialty match to settle things once and for all.
Great Fed you've got going here.đ

Paul,
Hogan's creative control card would be disastrous in this fed. I can just imagine how that would have worked out if he'd won against Race and went on to take on Vader.
The last time Harley and Vader met, Race defeated him by count-out. I can imagine that he'll want to fix that situation by making a stipulation of no count-outs or disqualifications. Whether Bobby Heenan will let Vader sign a contract with those stipulations or not is another matter.
The Rock 'N Roll Express really tried. Last time these two met, the time limit expired as Robert was going for a pin. This time, it took The Briscos fifteen minutes to figure them out. The question is whether or not The Briscos will want to face them a third time, knowing full well that they've come close to losing twice now.
The Road Warriors and Gordy and Williams can't wait to get in the ring with each other again. And, of course, it'll be some kind of stipulation match so that the call isn't left in the referee's hands.
As for Dusty and Magnum, this one looks like it's going to last a while. With TA bringing in Wahoo as a hired hand, who does Dusty turn to in order to even up the odds?

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD #6 - MARCH 4, 2023
GORDON WELCOMES US TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF LEGENDS OF WRESTLING
Gordon Solie welcomes us to this episode and runs down what we're going to see and who is here today, including Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Andre The Giant continuing his open challenge, and the main event, the United States Heavyweight Title on the line as Rick Rude puts his belt up against Kurt Angle.
ANGELO MOSCA vs. FRANKIE WILLIAMS
We get started with a preliminary match as Angelo Mosca makes quick work of Frankie Williams, locking on a sleeper for the victory. DUD
THE ROCK 'N ROLL EXPRESS ASKS FOR ANOTHER MATCH AGAINST THE BRISCO BROTHERS
Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson came out next to talk with Gordon about their previous two encounters with The Brisco Brothers and how close they came to winning the belts on both occasions.
Morton said, "I know we've probably worn out our welcome with The Brisco Brothers, but Robert and I feel like we've been right on the verge of winning the belts and I know with another shot we can do it."
Just then, from the right side of the stage came three men, two of which were carrying title belts over their shoulders. It was Jim Cornette and The Midnight Express, Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey.
"Boys," Cornette began, "first of all, you've worn out your welcome with everyone, including The Brisco Brothers, a long time ago. They're not going to give you another shot and why should they? The first time, you couldn't get it done. The second time, you outright lost to them. But my boys here, Beautiful Bobby Eaton and Loverboy Dennis Condrey, you see the belts over their shoulders? Yeah, you oughta know that they're the Southern Tag Team Champions and they're willing to give you two punks a shot anytime you'd like. But a word of caution: like with the Briscos, your chances of beating Bobby and Dennis are slim to none and slim just got on the train going south."
With that, The Midnight Express and Cornette left the area.
ANDRE THE GIANT'S OPEN CHALLENGE CONTINUES
This week, we got Bobo Brazil accepting the challenge.
BOBO BRAZIL vs. ANDRE THE GIANT
Before the match, the two men exchanged a handshake. Andre then proceeded to make quick work of Bobo, who actually got the early advantage. When he went for a leg drop, however, Andre moved, grabbed Bobo in a bear hug and then hit the BIG SPLASH for the win. DUD
HARLEY RACE ISSUES A CHALLENGE TO BIG VAN VADER FOR THEIR UPCOMING MATCH - NO DQ, NO COUNT OUT
Harley Race came out and talked with Gordon about the fact that he is now the number one contender and he also mentioned that the last time he and Big Van Vader met, he defeated the big man by count out.
âNow then,â Race said, âIâd like to propose a match where thereâs a clear and definitive winner. No excuses for why you lost or why I donât have the belt around my waist. Last time we met, Vader, I should have walked out with the Worldâs Heavyweight Championship belt. But I didnât. Because of technicality. So I want to see if youâve got the guts to face me in a match without disqualifications and count-outs. Do you have it within you to face me one-on-one without a fallback plan or a way to get out of losing that belt to me? Iâll be interested to hear your response.â
THE ROAD WARRIORS vs. THE HEAVENLY BODIES
The Road Warriors, coming off the DQ loss to The Miracle Violence Connection at Wrestle War, looked to make quick work of the Heavenly Bodies. The Bodies got the early advantage, but Animal was too much for Stan Lane and when he tagged out to Hawk, Hawk tagged immediately out to Animal so that they could hit the Doomsday Device. Tom Prichard attempted a pin save but was cut off by Hawk and The Road Warriors took that quick victory. DUD
DUSTY HAS HELP
Dusty Rhodes came out to talk with Gordon Solie about what happened at Wrestle War.
âWahoo McDaniel, I am so disappointed in you. Weâve traveled up and down the road together for many years. We havenât always seen eye to eye, but weâve always had a mutual respect for one another. And then you jump me from behind and beat on me like Iâm nothinâ, like Iâm less than nothinâ! I had respect for you, Wahoo McDaniel. When we was close, we was as close as brothers. And when we fought, at least we fought face to face. I used to respect you! I used to love you, Wahoo McDaniel! But not anymore! And Magnum TA, I thought that you had honor! I thought that you had guts! It took guts to challenge me to a match and it took guts to come out and stand in that ring against me! But then you showed me that you have no guts! When you and Wahoo beat on me, like I was nothinâ, like I was less than nothinâ! That showed me you have no guts!â
Gordon asked Dusty what heâs going to do, whatâs going to happen next.
âWell, Gordon,â Dusty said, âI didnât want to fight Magnum TA, but I did. And I donât want to fight Wahoo McDaniel, but I will. But I wonât be alone. You see, Magnum TA and Wahoo McDaniel, the American Dreamâs got friends, too. And Iâd like to bring one of them out right now.â
Out comes Barry Windham, who gets a handshake and a hug from Dusty.
âDusty Rhodes called me up this week and said, âBarry, will you help me?â and I said, âAnytime, anyplace, just say the word.â Wahoo McDaniel, Magnum TA, you boys just bit off a lot more than you can chew.â
âAnd when weâre done with you both,â Dusty added, âyouâll be lucky if you any teeth left to chew anything.â
MAIN EVENT for the UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
KURT ANGLE vs. RAVISHING RICK RUDE (C)
Kurt Angleâs first big break in LOW and he broke through, after a hell of a match against Rude.
Angle broke out the heavy artillery, hitting five Olympic Slams and locking on the Ankle Lock once. Rude was able to kick out of numerous pin attempts by Angle but was only able to get a pin attempt on Angle once in the match. Rude was bloodied by the middle of the match.
Angle went for a cover at one point and Manny Fernandez debuted to attack Angle and help Rude. He nailed Angle with a flying forearm and the referee did not disqualify Rude, instead allowing for the match to continue. From that point on, Rude tried everything to retain his belt. But Angle was just too much for him, hitting another Olympic Slam.
As Fernandez attempted to interfere again, Bob Backlund made his way to ringside and stopped it from happening and Angle became the NEW United States Heavyweight Champion! ****

Another fun event. A few thoughts from me:
1. I was extremely happy to see my Olympic hero win some championship gold; Itâs true, Itâs true! Rick Rude was a favourite of mine too so I was a bit conflicted as to who I wanted to win that match.
2. Too bad Bobo couldnât provide more of a challenge for Andre. His card is so dominant that he can squash powerful men like Bobo Brazil like bugs. At some point though someone in your fed will give him a run for his money. It will be interesting to see who that turns out to be.
3. Iâm calling it now: The Rock N Roll Express are taking those Southern belts off the Midnightâs the first chance they get.
4. Dusty Rhodes found as good of a partner as he possibly could in Barry Windham. Those two against Magnum & Wahoo should be a great match.
Looking forward to your next showđ

Gordon Solie welcomes us to another episode of Legends Of Wrestling. He runs down what we can expect to see. Barry Windham will face off against Manny Fernandez, Angelo Mosca will take on Bob Backlund, Wahoo McDaniel will be in action, as will The Midnight Express and we will hear from Big Van Vader and Bobby âThe Brainâ Heenan. In the main event, Andre The Giant continues his open challenge.
WAHOO McDANIEL vs. GERRY MORROW
Wahoo McDaniel made quick work of his opponent, putting Morrow away with a TOMAHAWK CHOP. DUD

Gordon wanted to talk to Wahoo about why he turned on Dusty Rhodes. Wahoo gave Gordon a look and he walked away without an answer.
ANGELO MOSCA vs. BOB BACKLUND
Manny Fernandez hit the ring as Bob Backlund had locked in the CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING. He attacked Backlund and Mosca got to his feet and the pair double-teamed Backlund. Out came Kurt Angle with a chair and ran the heels off. **
Commercial break. We come back and...
GORDON ANNOUNCES A COUPLE OF MATCHES FOR PPV

MANNY FERNANDEZ vs. BOB BACKLUND
KURT ANGLE will defend his United States Title against KEVIN SULLIVAN of the CWF.
These are in addition to the matches announced earlier this week ofâŚ

THE ROCK âN ROLL EXPRESS vs. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (C) w/JIM CORNETTE
SHERRI MARTEL vs. ROCKINâ ROBIN
Back to action now.
BIG VAN VADER vs. TERRY GIBBS
Vader made short work of Terry Gibbs, who got one offensive move in, which was to shoot Vader into the ropes. Vader finished with the RELEASED POWER BOMB. DUD
HEENAN AND VADER ADDRESS RACEâS CHALLENGE
Gordon asked Big Van Vader if he heard the challenge laid out by Harley Race, that of no disqualification or count-out the next time they meet for the LOW World Heavyweight Championship. Bobby Heenan interjected that itâs not Raceâs place to dictate.
âThis man,â Heenan said, indicating Vader, âis the World Heavyweight Champion. He doesnât take orders. He takes advice and thatâs why he has me in his corner. But he doesnât take orders. Harley Race, you have issued an order to this man and thatâs like waving red in front of bull. Youâll be lucky if we can find all of your parts when Big Van Vader is finished with you.â
THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS vs. TOM STONE and GEORGE SOUTH
The Midnight Express almost got a little more than they bargained for, as George South and Tom âRockyâ Stone gave them a competitive match. Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey were able to pin Stone with the MIDNIGHT MASSACRE. **1/2
BARRY WINDHAM vs. MANNY FERNANDEZ
Barry Windham and Manny Fernandez brawled outside the ring and the referee disqualified Fernandez, saying he started the brawl. Fernandez had been bloodied by the BLACKJACK CLAW, which was applied twice, with Fernandez not willing to give up. After the match, Fernandez and Windham continued brawling. We took a commercial break and Gordon Solie informed us that next week, we will see Barry Windham and Manny Fernandez face off yet again but this time it will be Falls Count Anywhere. This was a ** match.
MAIN EVENT
ANDRE THE GIANTâS OPEN CHALLENGE CONTINUES
RODDY PIPER vs. ANDRE THE GIANT
Andre came out and issued his challenge again and this time, Roddy Piper came down the aisle and said he would more than welcome the challenge against Andre. âBut you have to realize something, Andre,â he said. âItâs not me thatâs going to have the challenge.â
Andre got the advantage and made Piper eat his words as he went for the BIG SPLASH after only a few holds. He went to come off the ropes, but Bob Orton Jr. jumped the guardrail at ringside and attacked Andre, hitting him with his perennially "injured" arm wrapped in a cast. Piper was disqualified.
Match was a DUD but after the match, Piper and Orton continued their beating of Andre, with Piper going and getting a chair and blasting Andre in the head with it a couple of times while Andre was tied in the ropes. Andre was busted open and Orton and Piper crowed as they made their way back to the dressing room.

LEGENDS OF WRESTLING CARD #8 â 3-18-2023
Gordon Solie welcomed us to another edition of LEGENDS OF WRESTLING and told us that we will be seeing some great action today, with the main event being a Falls Count Anywhere match between Manny Fernandez and Barry Windham. He also let us know that we would be seeing some exclusive video from this past Sundayâs show in the Omni in Atlanta. And the card has been finalized for the March Madness PPV next Saturday; Gordon will be bringing us all the news on that a little later.
KURT ANGLE vs. GEORGE SOUTH
Gordon welcomed in Kevin Sullivan to do guest commentary with him for this match and mentioned that in the Omni, Kevin let his more violent side get the better of him. Sullivan said that that was true and he wanted to try and focus on the wrestling aspect of his game but something Bob Backlund said just rubbed him the wrong way. Gordon inquires as to what that something was, but Sullivan keeps quiet about that.
The match was all Kurt Angle, who finished South off with OLYMPIC SLAM. *
Kevin Sullivan said on commentary that he respects Kurt Angle, but he does not fear Kurt Angle. âAngle,â Sullivan said, âyou will learn to fear me.â Before Gordon could ask what he meant by that, Sullivan stood and left the commentary desk.
HARLEY RACE vs. MR. X
Mr. X got in a few moves and it looked like Harley Race might be a bit of a jam, but Race figured it out and then hit the PILEDRIVER for the one, two, three. *
A WORD WITH HARLEY
Gordon grabbed Harley Race for a quick moment or two and talked about his match that has just been signed for March Madness as he goes into the main event against Big Van Vader. While it will be for the LOW World Heavyweight Title, it will NOT be a no disqualification, no count-out affair. Race is not happy with this turn of events, but promises to kick Vaderâs butt just the same.
Gordon then played Tommy Richâs comments from the locker room of the Omni about how Race should not be getting the World Title shot and how it should be him instead, considering that he is the Southern Heavyweight Champion.
Race said that was all well and good and that after next Saturday, Race will be sure to swing by Memphis so Rich can have his title shot.
GOLDEN BOY ADRIAN ADONIS vs. BOB BACKLUND
Bob Backlund got the win with a submission from the CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING. Adonis had a comeback but Backlund was able to avoid an ending that comeback by ending that comeback. *
JIM CORNETTE INTERVIEW WITH GORDON SOLIE
Jim Cornette came out next to talk with Gordon Solie about The Midnight Express versus The Rock âN Roll Express at March Madness next Saturday. Cornette talked about how he was excited for his team to show the world that The Rock âN Roll were frauds and never-wases and that The Briscos better get ready to hand over the LOW World Tag Team Title belts.
Gordon then brought up the happenings last Sunday in the Omni, where Cornette attempted to lead The Heavenly Bodies into a match against The Rock âN Roll Express.
âYou, sir,â Gordon said, âtold the referee that you were managing The Heavenly Bodies and thatâs why you were at ringside. Do you in fact have a license to manage The Heavenly Bodies?â
âWell,â Cornette said, âno.â
âThen why were you at ringside?â
âThatâs pretty obvious,â Cornette said, âisnât it, Gordon? I was there to scout The Rock âN Roll Express. Thatâs not a crime.â
Gordon talked about the referee then told Cornette he had to leave ringside if he wasnât actually managing The Bodies. Cornette leaves, but a camera caught him jumping the rail and getting in with the fans. The video cuts back to the ring and, for about ten minutes, the match between The Heavenly Bodies and The Rock âN Roll Express goes on. There is some commotion in the crowd near the end of those ten minutes and the referee leaves the ring to confront Jim Cornette in the front row.
âThe referee is saying what to you at this moment?â Gordon asked Cornette.
âHeâs being obtuse and telling me that I should leave or heâs going to disqualify The Bodies,â Cornette answered truthfully.
âAnd then Dr. Tom Prichard and Stan Lane come over to you and ask you to leave, at first very politely and then, as the referee re-enters the ring and begins to count out The Heavenly Bodies, their pleas get more fevered and more plaintive. Of course, as you fans can see and as you, Jim Cornette know, you cost The Heavenly Bodies the match via count out.â
âI take exception to that comment,â Cornette said. âAt no time did I keep The Heavenly Bodies from getting back into the ring to either break the count or continue the match. I didnât cost them the match; The Bodies cost themselves the match!â
With that, Stan Lane and Dr. Tom Prichard came out from the locker room and confronted Jim Cornette. Tom Prichard did most of the talking and said that he and Stan Lane wanted first crack at The Midnight Express after March Madness.
âAnd if you beat The Rock âN Roll Express,â Prichard said, âwe want you to put up that shot at the World Tag Team Title.â
The Heavenly Bodies, having issued their challenge, left the stage and Cornette was speechless.

DUSTY RHODES CUTS A PROMO FROM HOME
Dusty Rhodes sent in a video of him cutting a promo from his ranch on Magnum TA and Wahoo McDaniel. Dusty talks about how hard it is to bust a bronco. Dusty talks about how when he and Barry Windham get their hands on Wahoo and Magnum at the PPV, thatâs just what theyâre going to be doing: busting broncos and that itâs going to be nothing but pain, blues and agony for the heels.
MAIN EVENT
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
MANNY FERNANDEZ vs. BARRY WINDHAM
After having fought all over the arena, including into the men's restroom, Manny Fernandez pasted Barry Windham with a chair shot to the head and pinned him in the entrance aisle for the win. **
After the match is when the heinous action took place. Wahoo McDaniel and Magnum TA came out and grabbed Windham and tossed him in the ring. Fernandez joined them and it was a three-on-one beatdown. TA pulled out a can of yellow spray paint and began to spray a thick line of yellow paint down Windhamâs back. Bob Backlund ran out to try and help, but was met by the trio full force and became a victim of the yellow spray paint, as well. Kurt Angle started to run down the aisle with a chair, but was tackled from behind by Kevin Sullivan, who used the chair on Angle instead, as the show went off the air.
