So tired of every sports network reporting on every time this guy farts. I hope the Jets suck this season, and I hope Rodgers dies of dysentery.

It looks like the holdup preventing this trade from happening is agreeing on the compensation going back to the Packers.
Aaron Rogers is 39 and could easily retire after 1 year so the Packers are obviously not getting a deal like the Seahawks got (2 1st round picks- including the #5 overall pick in this year's draft- 2 2nd round picks, and more) when they traded Russell Wilson to the Broncos last year (that turned out to be a great deal for the Seahawks.)
But if you are the Jets, would you agree to the Packers' demand for the 13th overall pick in this year's draft in return for Rogers?

Yea it is a crazy situation. Packers want a lot for an older guy who is near the end and who does not want to be there, and they do not seem to want him either. I would not give up the 13th straight up for Rodgers. I can see giving them that for him and some high to mid picks this year and/or next. The Jets would be better doing one of those conditional pick trades. Like a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year with next year turning into a 1st depending on how he plays and how the team does. The problem is the Jets are just not that close to being a real contender. Not in their conference and maybe not even in their division. When Tampa signed Brady, they were close and just needed a top QB.

About time...Green Bay did quite well all things considered.

About time...Green Bay did quite well all things considered. I think so too as they got alot in trading away a 39 year-old QB who is coming off a bad year and his $59.5 million contract. But, if Rogers plays better than he did last year, this could make the Jets contenders for next season.

Perhaps I'm being too much of a Negative Nancy but considering their recent history I get a feeling that it's not going to work out for them in the end. Prove me wrong, Rodgers!

Green Bay got a nice haul for a guy that might only play a year or two. If Love can take the reigns this will look like an amazingly great move on their part.
As for the Jets, if they get in the playoffs and win at least one game it is a decent trade for them. If they do not make the playoffs they may be in line to replace my Lions as laughing stock of the NFL.
