Big time bummer. He's been a great champ and I'm sure he'll be back at the top once he's healed. Interesting choices for the challengers for the open title. I wouldn't think Steve Maclin would be ready for that spot.

I do not think Impact was ready to put the belt on Steve Maclin but my guess is now they will. Depending how long Josh has to be out I could see Steve holding it till Josh is back and have storyline of the two facing off.
If not for the fact the PPV is tonight I could see someone added to the match.

The new champion will actually be crowned at Rebellion. After Sacrifice I am thinking it is slightly possible that Kushida wins the World title.
