I just finished listening to this episode on my way home from work today. While they build the new ballpark for the As on The Strip where the Tropicana is currently located, the As plan to share the AAA ballpark with the AAA Las Vegas Aviators for a couple of years. But my guess is that the AAA team won't be in Las Vegas much longer once the As arrive. While I certainly don't know how these sorts of things work in the United States up here in Canada I've found that both pro and minor league teams can co-exist in the same market with both thriving. Calgary and Edmonton both have major junior hockey teams that pull in great attendance numbers despite playing in NHL markets. This could largely be due to the fact that you almost need to sell a kidney to afford a ticket to an NHL game in this country so attending a junior game is much more affordable. Every market is different though so I guess you'll have to wait and see what happens in Vegas. yeah, I know what you are talking about for hockey as in Seattle they now have the NHL's Krakan but the longtime minor league team the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL are also still around (although the T-Birds no longer play in the actual city limits of Seattle and instead now play in Kent which is a Seattle suburb where I went to high school.) I think hockey is different though as I don't think there are any MLB teams that share a city with a team in Minor League Baseball, but we'll see what happens. I've always enjoyed going to AAA games as the stadium is just down the street from me (I went to a game as recently as late April,) so I would be happy if the Aviators stayed.

I'm very curious to see what happens to the Aviators as well as I can't remember a time in modern history where this situation happened. Wouldn't it be crazy if the Aviators moved to Oakland?

I did use the War Games titles and the main singles title became the Interplanetary Title after War Games was over. Grant, I loved how you resurrected the War Games Tag Team titles later. Wasn't it with Vanity and Mr. Galaxy? Yes, Commissioner Carter had the belts thrown out after War Games was over and Vanity and Mr. Galaxy fished them out of the trash and became the Women’s Gods champions (I always envisioned the belts had a big WG on them). Carter made a deal with the Gladiators that if they beat Vanity and Galaxy and got the belts back they could turn them in for a Galaxian Tag title shot. They did. Carter threw the belts out again and Meteor Storm fished through the trash and became the Wrestling Guys champions. Carter had to make another deal to get them back. This time he had them incinerated. Hmmmm....maybe Murtak has a device that can reconstitute something from ashes.....

Murtak would be the kind of guy who'd do it.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I don't play COTG but these episodes are still fun to listen to, hearing your thoughts and ideas about a game you are/were passionate about.
Also, big time thank you for the kind words about the quality of the Tee KO shirts. I can't remember if it was this episode or the previous one as I often listen to these episodes in pieces as opposed to all at once... but it's great to hear when people genuinely enjoy the shirts and appreciate the quality. Thanks, guys!

I don't play COTG either (and its only due to time...if I had the time, I'd be playing it 100%), but I definitely love to hear them talking about the sets. I'ts part of my younger years and it'll always be with me

There's something special about that 90s era GWF. So many great characters and angles. Can't wait for 2092.

I really enjoyed listening the this one. 2091 is usually listed among the favorite editions for a reason. I think it takes until the Black Death era for a set to have so many impactful debuting characters as we got during Wargames.

2091 is one of my Top 5...neigh, Top 2 fav sets of all time...a lot of character development with this edition and I felt like no one was left behind!
Everyone except Count Necros has won some kind of gold in their careers in my fed... back in the day, fav was Spike but I would say that Mayhem and Matador top that list.
Great show! I love walking down memory lane and it was a much needed pick me up today (feeling kinda down on myself today)..
