Mark Briscoe squashed Shane Douglas with the Froggy Bow. Douglas got little offense before falling to Briscoe's offense. Douglas seemed quite dejected at his performance.
Bob Backlund finished off Curt Hennig with a piledriver. Curt hung tough for a while but in the end, Backlund delivered three straight piledrivers to take the victory.

Angelo Mosca squashed Yukon Eric finishing him with an elbow smash to the face. Mosca busted Eric open with his elbow, nearly put him down with the Sleeper before hitting another elbow to win.
Bob Backlund got off to a slow start but eventually finished off SGT Slaughter with the Crossface Chicken Wing. Slaughter took a good few hits but in the end Backlund grabbed control and tossed him around for a bit before clamping on the Chicken Wing to win. After the match, Ivan Koloff and the Bolsheviks attacked Slaughter until Backlund and Thunderbolt Patterson helped clear the ring.

Mornin TTX me bro! Bob Backlund does seem to be on cruise control like brother Pariah said. Has Backlund faced Thesz, Gotch or Andre yet? I can't remember. Or Stanislaus Zybszko (never sure if I'm spelling that last name right lol!). |

Jay Briscoe defeated Abdullah the Butcher in a non title anything goes match with the Jay Driller. Briscoe left Abdullah incredibly bloody by the end of the match. (9 tokens for Abby 3 for Jay)
Bob Backlund transitioned a Disco Inferno shoulder block into a head scissors for an immediate submission.

In a salute the flag match, Hacksaw Jim Duggan caught Alexis Smirnoff in a bear hug for the surprise win. Duggan was in trouble for a bit but he caught Smirnoff with the bear hug and Smirnoff passed out. Duggan helped Smirnoff do the salute and then chanted USA and waved the flag.
Bob Backlund put away JJ Dillon with the Atomic Drop. Dillon got a brief advantage and hit a couple ax handles off the turnbuckle but eventually Backlund put him down.

Tony Anthony and Eddie Gilbert battled to a double disqualification as they brawled on the floor ignoring the referee.
Sgt Slaughter and American Thunder bested The Red Army when Slaughter forced Koloff to submit to the Cobra Clutch.
