I watch to support the women. Fox is meh. They would get me to watch more if they would put the games that are on FS1 on Fox at the same time. When both were showing matches I understood. But looking over next couple days and all the games are on FS1. I use an antenna these days and do not have cable. If they games on FS1 were on during my work shift I would have the lobby TV on them. But yea, I think Fox's viewership for the rest of the Cup might tumble some now. Based on the time most of the matches were I do not think it will take too much of a hit.

There has been a lot of talk about he demise of the Women's US team and the end of their dominance since being kicked out of the Cup. Now that I have had some time to get over the disappointment I think Lee Corso puts it best, not so fast my friend. Of course things did not go like we planned. Part of that is more parity with the teams. So yea, the total dominance we have seen over the last couple decades for the most part are gone. However it is not just ours. At least we made it to the knockout stage. Three teams in FIFA's Top Ten rankings did not even make it that far including #2 Germany. A team that is obvious really good as they are ranked right behind the US and they have won the Cup before. The fact is while we had a couple lackluster performances in the 2nd and 3rd game of group play we had one of if not the most dominating defense this Cup. I mean they only gave up only one goal in four matches including one that went into OT. It was just their offense that let them down. I think we will see an improvement there as Smith and Rodman are young and full of potential. If they can work together we could see one of the most explosive and deadly offenses over the next decade. We are losing some vets but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The pipeline is full of talented young ladies. We are not in a rebuild but just a retooling period. I see Gold in our future. #2024

Just donβt ask for an autograph. π¬π©βπ€ Oh that is easy to get. Just have them sign on a contract for a commercial with a fat pay out.

I was sad to see Japan get eliminated. However, it showed how good Sweden is and they needed a millimeter in the shootout to beat the US.

A solid final four. I am not sure who to pull for. England would be cool. Australia, basically sharing the DNA of England and being the host, would be awesome. Sweden would mean the US lost to the champs. Spain...well I got nothing. I know the men's teams have been really good so maybe it is time for the women.
