Great time in Waterloo, glad I made the trek. I'm glad we both made the trek, it was a pleasure meeting and talking with you.

I didn't get to talk to you as much as I'd have liked, but it was definitely fun to meet you.

lol, on Friday I signed two of the three Indie names that Mike and Cory asked me to talk to about the game. This is the new “Go ask that girl if she likes me.” Mike and Cory acting all cool at the bar while Zeke walks over, introduces himself to the wrestlers. “My friends think you’re a great wrestler and were wondering if you wanted to be in their game.”

Drove the 13 1/2 to the middle of nowhere Iowa to hang out with my American brothers. This is the one thing I do not miss for anything. Friday night at the matches wasn't bad, the crowd was definitly an odd bunch. I talked to Ross Hart for a bit and we traded stories about his brother Smith. Then it was off to Doughy Joey for some pizza, sat with Pete Beck, Milton, Nick Tim Dalton and 1 more person I can't remember their name. We talked baseball, the con and Steve Minskoff. We eventually went to the bar, I stayed with Pete right up until 2am when it was time to go to bed.
Saturday I started on getting the Canada Cup going and some of the brackets were interesting, in my bracket 4 of the 5 wrestlers had a double finisher and I remember Comrade Terror, Tendron and Tongsoon all being in 1 bracket. David Little beat KB, nice to see Dave get a win. And speaking of wins, Sam Luptak got his first ever tournament win and people cheered and we weren't sure if it was because Sam won or he beat Frank. The auction happened and so did the panels, I went to get lunch so missed this. Then it was time for people to go get ready so Jared and myself grabbed a beer and Jimmy Valiant< Tommy Rich and Haku came in and started chatting with everyone. Then they left and my wife came to get me because we were going to the Olive Garden (we don't have those in Canada) Pete, Jared, Brian, Nick and myself sat on the patio to avoid the live music. Went home sober, weird I stayed sober through and entire G-con, hadn't done that since G-con 2.
Sunday met up at the Hall of Fame, it's tiny but well put together. Liked reading about the amature stuff as much as the pro. I won a tournament with Paul Orndorff and met Eric and lost to him with the most broken card ever.
It was a good time and can't wait until G-con is back home in Jamestown where it belongs.

hexxstar I'm so sorry to have omitted you from my first post!!! I should have followed "Emperor Norton" (Mark T) 's advice and not listed people because I was sure to miss one or two good people. When I got home from Iowa there was an envelope waiting for me, THANK YOU so much!!! HALCYON & RARITY are great cards, and RARITY along with Thomas (TK) 's EMBARGO will both make it to my GWF.

I love irony.... ERIC KONECNE, the creator of GO FIGHT POW wins the GalactiCon title!!! You don't get any more ironic than that! It couldn't have happened to nicer guy though, Eric is AWESOME!

By the way if you're ever out here in Vancouver we do have an Olive Garden in the suburb of Langley.
