Natureboi - I didn't know it was a Vince idea, sounds racist to me? Travis - But Budda Rogers correctional officer became a big success, Big Bossman the heel was the first guy I liked when I started watching WWF on Challenge & Superstars . The point was the WWF has always put their spin on wrestlers after the expansion. After a certain time in the 80s, you'd rarely see guys coming in without the WWF putting their own spin on it

I occasionally play a Wrestlecrap inspired fed just for fun. TL Hopper is one of my top heels.

To be honest, I don’t think Tony Anthony is doing much better without the TL Hopper Gimmick. Was never a big fan of his. WWF was horrible with the stupid gimmicks, but let’s not pretend other companies didn’t do corny stuff too.

I hope they adjust or remove the mechanic on Gang's finisher from the B&W card. It killed him in my fed.

I think he might get a more Bundy style...maybe a (+3) that misses less.
One wrestler that I don't think will be in the set but I'd hope to see at some point is Ron Shaw most famous for his phantom submission win over David Sammartino.

Irwin as the Goon; Anthony as Hopper; and Smothers as Freddie Joe Floyd were all brought in to be lower card guys. And, Anthony in real life is a certified plumber - so no dig at Dusty intended.

Looking, as I do, for patterns in previous December releases. Not once has the second announced name been a new name, For 3 it was Billy Red Lyons, for 5 it was The James Gang, for 6 it was Koko B. Ware, for 8 it was Bill Dundee, and for 10 it was Fuji and Saito. So even if this isn't a 4/7/9 type set that clears out the black and white backlog, it's unlikely that the name coming this week will be new. There's also a good chance it will be a tag team (40% of the time so far). So, I'm gonna put my stake in the ground for The Mongols or The Tolos Brothers.

You give too much credit for the amount of thought goes into the teaser order.

I'd look at most of the releases in general - if you remember though the first name in last year's December release was absolutely new (Pat Patterson), as was two year's ago (Austin Idol), which definitely created a pattern that this first teaser did not follow. Additionally, you have to look at it as this is the week before preorder - those are usually pretty big names (Cycle 1 Vivian Vachon; Cycle 2 Jim Ross, December '22 Tony Garea; December '21 The Moondogs), I would assume you are going to get a relatively large and probably new name. Though I also agree with Tournament Master, I think we may put waaaaay too much stock in their thought process on the matter. Other than the preorder name probably being the set's "headliner" there really isn't a lot of thought placed into the order of teasers.
