Probably should be in polls but Condrey and Eaton Bulldogs Demolition/Roadies for a tie. the reason it is not in a poll is there are too many options to chose from |

The Road Warriors (not a personal favorite, but easily the biggest tag team draw of the decade. Many clones followed. )
The Fabulous Freebirds (drew money everywhere they went, feud with the Von Erichs is still the stuff of legend, Freebird rule has been copied repeatedly)
The Midnight Express (probably the best in-ring heel tag team of the decade when it came to double teams, teamwork, etc. Legendary feuds with RnR and Fantastics. Either iteration of the team can fit the bill.)

There is one team missing so far and I am surprised. They are the only tag team to appear in a main event of a Wrestle Mania and never faced defeat. I am of course talking about the team of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T
