When we first got a Dutch Savage card he was a guy I knew very little about. From what I've read had always had me use him as a heel.
I'm currently reading a book about Portland Wrestling and it goes year by year through the territories existence. I'm up to 1976 and Dutch has been the top babyface along with Snuka for several years with his on-going feuds with Bull Ramos, the Royal Kangaroos among the rest of the PNW bad guys.
This has given me a whole new idea how to use Dutch in my fed.

It is the beauty of the game and time we live in that we can do the research and have a better feeling for the guys and girls signed. Wiki and YouTube give a great view of them. Then there are books and DVDs of cards or just random matches. If one does their research, it does not even have to take a lot of time, you can have all kinds of ideas and storylines to do.

Living in the PNW, I pretty much only ever knew Dutch as a babyface. Even after he retired to doing commentary and acting as an authority figure, he was more over than most of the active guys in the territory. Fans loved him.

I have Dutch Savage as a top babyface after his longtime partner Don Leo Jonathan turned on him and joined The Grand Wizard.

I used him as a tweener in Sooner State. He held the Brass Knux Title for just over a year during his stint in SSW.

It's amazing how much footage is so easily accessible. There are a few YouTube channels that regularly upload new matches and shows all the time. There is constantly new matches and info being made available online. It's pretty amazing!

It's amazing how much footage is so easily accessible. There are a few YouTube channels that regularly upload new matches and shows all the time. There is constantly new matches and info being made available online. It's pretty amazing! I don't YouTube often but when I do, it is often for the game. I use it a lot to get a visual on what a move looks like. Often I have a match and someone uses their finisher and I am not sure where the booklet is, if I have one for them, and too lazy to go look for it. I USED to go to Wiki to read what the move was as they listed wrestlers finishers and had a short description of it, ie if the move was a DDT or whatever, but sadly they eliminated that years ago. YouTube is now my go to source. If for some reason they do not have it or I cannot find it on there I will check sites like cagematch dot net (which does not describe the moves but has other important info and cannot think of the one site that does usually have a description).
