The Old time charts for like Frank Gotch era wrestlers. Just wondering would you say there is a year cut off point for wrestlers using them ? Year when they were born I go off.

I have my Ontario Provincial Championship division which is only old school wrestling that uses those charts. I have wrestlers from various eras that have that same old school style compete with a strict set of old school rules. Wrestlers who choose to compete in the division have to follow them. So certain moves are not allowed. And it is either adapted to another move or they reroll.
Wrestlers win a match by either submission or pin, and I settle title matches and even grudge matches in a best two of three falls match.

I could also see using modern wrestlers who could work that vintage style using them, such as Bryan Danielson or the recently-released Mark Flemming.

Or use them for a UWFi style promotion.

I've used Severn, Shamrock and will be using Fleming in a Vintage Style fed.

I do it by federation rather than specific wrestlers. Otherwise, it's more chart shuffling than I want to do.

I'd probably use them for wrestlers through maybe the 1940s but there are always exceptions to the rule. I definitely think there are more modern wrestlers that these charts would work better for and there are some older wrestlers who might have been willing to try some of the moves on the classic charts. Pick and choose whatever you feel fits best.

For me, it’s more about style than a strict age/time. I’ve planned on doing a little something with the vintage cards and using it almost like the ROH Pure division. I wouldn’t use RVD but would use people like Angle, Shamrock, Danielson, Roop, Gresham, and even running a short angle with some Olde wrestlers.

I originally thought about saying you could probably get away with using them until the Golden Age and wrestling hitting the Dumont Network if we were going by eras.
