Is there anymore information forthcoming about the CAC (or CAC themed) set? Teasers, rough release date etc? Or did I miss this?

I would hope it would come out before the CAC, but maybe not. I know they're having that big tournament at the CAC in a couple of weeks.

I mean they are pushing for a September/October release date for this - so maybe the card will be a separate fundraiser for the CAC - much like the Blair card was, and the mini-set could be six. I ventured a list of six as they said it would be a set at GCON.

I mean I could very well be wrong, but if it was a 4-pack, thinking of previous 4-packs (think Portland, Enhancement), it was revealed at the time of the announcement that the set was a 4-pack. Reading Tom's response, and also realizing that CAC is literally - 14 days away - I just do not see how a.) a 4-pack could be teased (unless they do two names tomorrow; and two names next week with preorder being next week), b.) how they could have the preorder day with such little notice (seems to fly in the face a bit no teasers have happened yet), and c.) how they could produce a four-pack of cards fully, ship them to Tom, and have them ready for sale at the CAC. Just seems really involved almost too involved for the cycle three release. Also, reading Tom's post in the CAC thread, it seems like it may be a one card or two card fundraiser for CAC - and then the mini-set will come after. Again, an August release date kinda flies in the face of the September/October timeline listed on the website. No matter what, I assume, we'll learn in about eight days! |
