I mean, Earl Hebner was clearly joking but I'm certain he wouldn't have let a concussed Hulk Hogan get slammed on his head two more times. I've seen many commenters saying that Taz was saying something about the head injury on the broadcast. So if Taz could tell on video, why couldn't a wrestler or referee in the match with him? If you go back and watch the match you will see that Taz does not specifically mention Moxley's head until the match is actually over while he (Taz) is also saying congratulations to Rey Fenix on his victory. I went back and watched the match on my DVDR and- based on how Moxley initially reacted afterward- it definitley looks like Moxley got concussed right away when Fenix hit that dive off the entrance ramp. Taz did say Moxley got lit up but that was all he said and then he went on and said things like: "Moxley has been a step ahead." "Yeah, Fenix is having a struggle here to capture this international championship from Mox." "Fenix is just in a world of hurt tonight from Mox." That does not sound like someone who thinks the match needs to end due to a concussion so this would not be a case as you implied where the commentators knew but the ref and other wrestler did not know. The match was 13-14 minutes and I don't believe Rick Knox- who I have talked to many times at PWG- would have let the match go that long if he knew Moxley was concussed right around the opening bell. Again it is a lose lose situation for the referee and, while I would have liked Knox to have finsihed the initial 3 count, I understand why he hesitated in this title match. I just hope Moxley is OK. Thanks for going back and rewatching. I had just heard about Taz's commentary, I didn't have any way for me to go back and rewatch it. I'm curious if there was any other indication throughout the match that he was a little off or if he looked normal the rest of the time.

I'm curious if there was any other indication throughout the match that he was a little off or if he looked normal the rest of the time. To me, Moxley looked on and off, I did not notice it the first time I saw the match (but then again I was multitasking as I often do on Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesday when I have RAW, NXT and AEW playing in the background while doing stuff for work on my laptop) and I definitely noticed it when I rewatched it (but then again I was specifically looking for those signs this time around.) right after the dive, Moxley briefly looked out of it and I would have liked to see the match end at that point out of precaution, someone from the back should have done something if Rick Knox did not detect it himself (and again I am not convinced Rick Knox knew about the concussion.) But then soon afterward Moxley seemed OK by hitting his King Kong Lariat and other signatures, kicking out of pinfall attempts from Fenix, etc. Again, nobody on commentary including Taz seemed alarmed during the match itself nor did anybody sitting in the front row when the action spilled outside of the ring right next to them and I don't think Knox knew Moxley was concussed until the pinfall when Moxley did not kick out (technically Knox should have indeed finished the 3 count but I can see where making an unauthorized title switch on one of the company's biggest stars gave him some pause especially if he did not know Moxley was concussed yet.) I am not a medical expert but it appears concussions might not be as obvious to spot as one would think. For example, just yesterday/less than 24 hours ago, it was determined after the Sunday Night game the Raiders QB Jimmy Garopolo suffered a concussion yet he was never taken out of the game because the team did not know about it at the time. www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38490364/raiders-qb-jimmy-garoppolo-suffered-concussion-snf-loss

Regarless of this specific incident, I figured I would link to another of Richards' more recent videos that wasn't taken down since the original point of my post was to give his channel props.

I watched this one and wound up watching four or five more right in a row. I think Stevie repeats himself a little too much but I really enjoy his insights.

Some of his videos go a little long because he covers the same thing over and over but hopefully he'll improve on some of that sort of thing with time. The content of what he is saying, though, is really solid. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about... but sometimes I skip portions of his videos when they get a little long-winded on a single topic.
