I'm sure many have already discovered Stevie Richards new-ish YouTube channel but I think he's doing awesome video breakdowns of mistakes/botches from the past and present. His most recent is from an AEW match between Moxley and Rey Fenix. I've never been the biggest Stevie Richards fan. Nothing against him, he was just never my top guy... but these breakdowns show a wealth of knowledge that young wrestlers (and not so young like Moxley) should be looking to learn from. In this video he even takes referee Rick Knox to task a bit. He even alludes to the fact that the young talent in AEW is not taking the advice of the veteran talent and agents so the agents may have just given up and essentially are just there to cash a check.
Thought some people on here would enjoy his videos though and really thought he deserved some more views/subscribers for the quality work he is putting in to them.

All Elite Wrestling has blocked it....Aubrey Ed strikes again!!!

We know AEW has stroke but to me this proves Stevie has it too. So much as AEW saw this as something that would give them a bad look if it was allowed to stay up and be viewed by people. If people really want to mess with AEW they should try and get a transcript of what Stevie said and record their own video saying the same thing. Imagine dozens of videos saying the same thing but from different people. AEW would be busy taking them all down.

I did not get to see this video before it was removed so I do not know what criticism Stevie Richards had of the match between Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix.
But from what I read, Moxley suffered a concussion in the match and Fenix was originally not supposed to win the AEW International Championship. Might that explain at least some of the criticism in that video directed at Moxley and referee Rick Knox if Moxley was concussed and the original finish did not happen?
I did think it was weird that Moxley ended the long title reign of Orange Cassidy in the main event of All Out only to drop the AEW International Championship later the same month to Rey Fenix.

I actually hung out with Stevie Richards during most of the COTG Live Event (when he was supposed to be Omega) talking about wrestling, Madden (he’s a big fan) and Xbox.. Really cool guy, and very interesting. He has a great mind for the business. Just sitting there listening to him talk about all kinds of stuff was a real honor and treat.

I did think it was weird that Moxley ended the long title reign of Orange Cassidy in the main event of All Out only to drop the AEW International Championship later the same month to Rey Fenix. I'll try to remember his criticisms. First off, he wasn't criticizing the match itself, the quality of wrestling or whatever. That's not what he does with his videos. His criticism revolved mostly around Fenix's two piledrivers, which had Moxley's head making significant contact with the ring each time. And this was after the dive earlier which pretty clearly had concussed Moxley. Richards didn't criticize the dive at all. He basically thought it was more or less unavoidable / a freak accident. Didn't blame anyone for that. The problem was the end of the match Fenix hits a pretty nasty sitout tombstone type of move. He pins Moxley, the ref counts 1-2 and then acts like Mox kicked out even though he didn't. Moxley then says something like "do it again" so Fenix picks him up and hits the move again. Richards explains in the video that it's usually best for the guys who do piledrivers to be bigger so that their size prevents their opponent's head from making any contact. He also says that guys with longer hair help make the piledriver look more realistic even if their head never makes contact. So, in the end he railed on Fenix for poorly executing the move, the ref for not protecting Mox, the agents for allowing this junk and TK for not reining it all in a long time ago. Richards says that wrestlers have a hard time saying no to things because they are always looking for the pop so it's the promoters and agents jobs to help protect them.

While I could not see the pulled video, prior to my post it was not mentioned that Moxley was concussed and it was not mentioned that the finish had to be changed and those are not insignificant factors to leave out when criticizing a match, especially when it is the referee being criticized in this unfortunate incident. You said "in this video he even takes referee Rick Knox to task" but this is indeed a lose lose situation for a referee, especially in a title match where an audible is being called for the finish. My understanding is referees are expected to keep their cadence consistent for 3 counts and then it is on the talent if they do not kick out and the match ends differently than scripted. But this was not some random match on AEW Dark (now being masqueraded as ROH) but a live televised match for the AEW International Championship and I understand if Knox hesitated at first. One of my best friends is a wrestling referee (he officates matches both here and in California where he was a ref at this year's Collective) and he is driving me to Bakersfield, California next weekend to got to NXT's No Mercy PLE. He told me that Earl Hebner's plan if Hogan ever got knocked out during a match was to fake a heart attack so he would not have to make the title change in that situation.

I mean, Earl Hebner was clearly joking but I'm certain he wouldn't have let a concussed Hulk Hogan get slammed on his head two more times. I've seen many commenters saying that Taz was saying something about the head injury on the broadcast. So if Taz could tell on video, why couldn't a wrestler or referee in the match with him? I've also heard both Richards and now Jim Cornette talking about how all referees are trained to not fake a 3 count. You just keep counting. If a wrestler doesn't kick out in time, that's on them. It ruins the illusion if the ref is "in on it." And in this case, Moxley was not capable of kicking out.

I've seen many commenters saying that Taz was saying something about the head injury on the broadcast. So if Taz could tell on video, why couldn't a wrestler or referee in the match with him? If you go back and watch the match you will see that Taz does not specifically mention Moxley's head until the match is actually over while he (Taz) is also saying congratulations to Rey Fenix on his victory. I went back and watched the match on my DVDR and- based on how Moxley initially reacted afterward- it definitley looks like Moxley got concussed right away when Fenix hit that dive off the entrance ramp. Taz did say Moxley got lit up but that was all he said and then he went on and said things like: "Moxley has been a step ahead." "Yeah, Fenix is having a struggle here to capture this international championship from Mox." "Fenix is just in a world of hurt tonight from Mox." That does not sound like someone who thinks the match needs to end due to a concussion so this would not be a case as you implied where the commentators knew but the ref and other wrestler did not know. The match was 13-14 minutes and I don't believe Rick Knox- who I have talked to many times at PWG- would have let the match go that long if he knew Moxley was concussed right around the opening bell. Again it is a lose lose situation for the referee and, while I would have liked Knox to have finsihed the initial 3 count, I understand why he hesitated in this title match. I just hope Moxley is OK.
