Card #6 – 2023.02.25 Legends Generations – Saturday Night Throwback Minneapolis Auditorium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
We head to the Northern United States for our next addition of throwback with a highly anticipated main event showdown between Buddy Rogers and “Strangler” Ed Lewis plus we will hear from Shane Douglas on the Press Conference with Bill Apter. Lets get down to the ring…
Preliminary Card (ESPN)
Sheepherders d. Mulkey Brothers Joey Marella was the referee. No one gave Randy and Bull Mulkey a chance in this one but Randy Mulkey managed to reverse a whip at ringside and Luke Williams went hard into the post busting him open. The fans were rocking as the Mulkey’s had an offensive run including a back elbow slingshot but the advantage was short lived. The Sheepherders put away Bill Mulkey with a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER after 9 minutes. **
Sheepherders accost Gordon Solie at ringside and the Legacy Tag Team Champions Fantastics come out and confront the challengers for their titles next week and tell the Sheepherders that they want to make sure they settle things in Philadelphia and announce that their match will be best of three falls!
Terry Gordy d. Johnny Rodz Gordy needs only two minutes to crush Rodz in match that featured two POWER BOMBS from Gordy, the second getting the three count from Morgan Dollar. DUD
Never at a loss of words, Lou Albano, J.J. Dillon and “Pretty Boy” Bobby Heenan share their thoughts with Gordon Solie and head to the ring.
Lou Albano, J.J. Dillon and “Pretty Boy” Bobby Heenan d. Blue World Order James Beard was in charge of the action which say the BWO get the upper hand on Dillon but Super Nova could not get the win with NOVACAINE. Dillon caught Stevie Richards on the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat to turn the match. Albano, Heenan and Dillon made quick tags and kept Richards in the ring for a long stretch. With the fans behind them, the BWO came back and had the upper hand but a foreign object blow from Dillon to Blue Meanie turned the match again. Heenan then took the same FOREIGN OBJECT and ended it after 14 minutes. **
“Dr. Death” Steve Williams d. George South This was over quickly as Williams overpowered South with a pair of spinebusters and then connected with a deathjump crossbody for the pin after just two minutes. DUD
Tom Prichard w/Jim Cornette d. Johnny Mantell The antics of Cornette and Prichard got under the skin of Morgan Dollar before bell. There was an intensity between the competitors from the opening bell. Mantell survived an early ENZUIGIRI and then battled back for near fall of his own before the referee was knocked down for eight moves. Both men missed opportunities for a win while Dollar was down. With the referee back on his feet, Mantel and Prichard took the match in and out of the ring. Mantell appeared to have the match won after a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. Cornette caused a distraction and the action continued. It was back and forth until Prichard connected with a second ENZUIGIRI for the three count after 23 minutes. ****
Main Card (ESPN)
Bill Apter hosts the Press Conference with guest Shane Doulgas and Francine. Much of what Doulgas has to say has to be censored but it is clear he thinks little of the current Legacy Champion Lou Thesz or the fact Buddy Rogers & Ed Lewis are in the main event instead of “The Franchise.”
Madison Rayne d. Melina Rayne came out strong and never allowed Melina any offense from the opening bell and connected with a top rope cross body for the three count from Morgan Dollar (snakes eyes) in two minutes. DUD
Harley Race & Larry Hennig d. Vachons Race connects with a swinging neckbreaker on Butcher Vachon in the opening minute and Morgan Dollar makes the three count. DUD
Doctor X d. Don Leo Jonathan Another quick match has ringside unsettled. X manages to block a charge to the corner with a double knee lift and then catches Jonathan off the top with a cross body block for a near fall from Morgan Dollar. X then traps Jonathan in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for the submission after just four minutes. DUD
Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette d. Rock ‘n’ Roll Express The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express had the fans rocking after the Express and Cornette get under the skin of Morgan Dollar before the bell. Bobby Eaton is cut off from his corner and takes a beating. Twice Dennis Condrey has to save Eaton from being pinned after a CROSS BODY BLOCK from Ricky Morton. Later, Cornette causes a distraction saving Eaton from being pinned again. A Double back body drop has Eaton done but Cornette interfere but manages to smash Eaton with his tennis racket. Eaton is bloody mess as the action goes outside but he reverses a whip to the corner and Morton eats the ring post. Morton is quickly a bloody mess as well and Condrey starts what is essentially a two on one comeback. Eaton only sees limited action for the balance of the match joining Condrey for a pair of ROCKET LAUNCHERS on Morton without getting the three count. However, a MIDNIGHT MASSACRE finishes it after 24 minutes. *****
Buddy Rogers d. “Strangler” Ed Lewis The heat for Rogers is off the charts and he only makes it worse getting the upper hand. Rogers avoids an early charge to the corner and rolls up Lewis for a two count from Joey Marella. A pin using the ropes does not fool Marella however. Lewis picks up on controversial advantage about half way through the match when he runs Rogers into the ring post. Rogers is busted open and Lewis does not let on him applying STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK after STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK. Rogers counters a stepover toehold but minutes later, Lewis slams Rogers off the top of the corner to regain control. Rogers escapes more STRANGLER’S HEADLOCKS and now is complete bloody mess. Rogers manages to counter a bear hug power bomb and connects with dropkicks and a jumping knee smash to the leg. Rogers applies his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and gets the submission after 12 minutes of action when Lewis just cannot make the ropes. A battered, but victorious, Rogers can barely speak but manages to tell the fans on the mic that he will be the next Legacy Champion! ****
After a several one sided and quick matches, the evening closes out with back to back classics to send the fans home happy. Up next is a PPV event from the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which is known for it’s rapid fan base for all ports, not just pro-wrestling. The following matches are signed:
* The feud between Sputnik Monroe and Billy Wicks transcended not only wrestling but the American society in the south as a whole and promoters has signed the two competitors to once again meet in the ring as part the Philadelphia PPV event.
* Trish Stratus will be in action when she takes on a competitor she knows well, Nora Greenwald
* Andre the Giant and Killer Kowalski will look to resolve their differences when they clash in a No Holds Bared Match.
* Legacy Tag Team Champions Fantastics will be looking to put the challenge of one of their most hated rivals The Sheepherders in a best of three falls contest.
* As already announced, the main event will see Legacy World Champion Lou Thesz defend his title against Kurt Angle in what should be classic battle of human chess.

Card #7: March 4, 2023 Legends Generations – Thesz v. Angle PPV Philadelphia Civic Centre, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Ringside fills in early and is electric for the next PPV event. Thesz defends against Olympian Kurt Angle in our main event plus the tag team straps on the line in a best of the three falls match and Andre and Kowalski look to settling things No Holds Bared…. Lets get to the action!
Preliminary Card (ESPN)
Flying Redheads DQ Don Leo Jonathan & Dutch Savage Joey Marella called the bell and this battle of size and power against speed and agility began with back and forth action. Bastien ended up getting in some trouble but managed to kick out after back to back RUNNING PILEDRIVER from Savage. Jonathan used his size to control against both Redheads but Billy Red Lyons and Red Bastien used double teaming to get back into the action. Rapid fire dropkicked spilled Savage to the floor and Bastien followed him to the floor. Savage took things too far during the brawl that followed when he used chair to smash Bastin across the back after 20 minutes. ** ½
David Taylor d. Boris Zhukov Rematch from the first Throwback Episode. Taylor gets caught on the top of the corner and slammed to the mat early and the fans are all over Zhukov as he takes over. However, he is also caught on the top of the buckles and slammed to the mat. Taylor capitalizes with a bear hug to atomic drop for the three count from James Beard after 6 minutes. * ½
Yukon Eric DQ “Wild” Bull Curry With Woehrle wearing the stripes the fans did not expect this one to go too long and they were correct. Eric overpowered Curry from the bell. Curry could not bait Eric to the floor so he brought a chair into the ring and smashed Eric with it after just 2 minutes to earn the disqualification. Both men brawled after the match. * ½
Les Thatcher d. Pepper Gomez Handshake to start and they exchange counters. Thatcher presses the advantage and comes away with a near fall from Morgan Dollar after a flying body press. Gomez uses his slight power advantage to get himself out of trouble several times and gets a near fall of his own with a flying head scissors. Thatcher uses his speed late to counter a backdrop with a piledriver. It leads to a STUMP PULLER and Gomez cannot escape after 11 minutes. ** ½
Fabulous Kangaroos w/”Wild” Red Berry d. Ilio DiPaolo & Antonino Rocca This was almost an exact replay of their previous encounter at the first PPV event with the Kangaroos cutting of Rocca from the opening bell. The double teaming was precise. A pin save from DiPaolo kept the match going after a double clothesline but he could not save Rocca from a BOMERANG after 7 minutes. *
Main Card (PPV)
Trish Stratus d. Nora Greenwald These two competitors know each other well and the early action was back and forth. Stratus countered an attack in the corner with a backdrop to the floor and took over the match. She could not get the win with a STRATUSFACTION finisher. Greenwald battled back and a Northern Lights suplex gave her a two count from Dick Woehrle. Stratus avoided a charge to the corner and nearly ended it with a roll up. It was back and forth late and Stratus hit a second STRATUSFACTION for what appeared to be a quick three count from Woehrle after 13 minutes. ***
Bill Wicks DQ Spuntnik Monroe The history between these two may have not have been as well known in Philly as it is in the South but Monroe and Wicks made their distain for each other known to those watching this match when Monroe attempted to attack Wicks with a chair before the bell. Wicks turned the table and Monroe was busted open before the bell. Once Morgan Dollar called for the match to start the action quickly spilled back outside and Monroe grabbed a chair and smashed Wicks with it. Dollar made the disqualification call in just one minutes as both men, know busted open, brawled until security filled the ring. *
Best of Three Falls - Legacy Tag Team Champions Fantastics v. Sheepherders Sheepherders confronted Gary Michael Cappetta before the bell but the Champions hit the ring to save the day. Fantastics carried their momentum into the match and cut off Luke Williams from his corner and then crushed him with a ROCKET LAUNCHER to take fall one after just five minutes. The second fall is the same as the first and Williams cannot get out of the ring. Butch Miller makes a save after a FANTASTIC CRADLE but the Fantastics combine with a PRESS SLAM/SPLASH for the three count from Joey Marella after 8 minutes. * ½
No Holds Bared - Andre the Giant d. Killer Kowalski The fans were ready for something special and the action did not disappoint. Kowalski was able to battle the Giant move for move blow for blow. Kowalski drew first blood with a chair smash during a brawl on the floor. Andre late used a left over turnbuckle rod to bust open his foe. The action spilled out into the arena with fans running for their lives. The fight went outside into the parking lot and Andre was smashed into a car!!! Back in the arena, chair and chains entered the match. Kowalski could not get a KOWALSKI CLAW on the Giant who kept battling back. Andre did damage with a pair of sitdown splashes as the battle took a toll on both men. Andre finally dropped Kowalski for the three count from Dick Woehrle after a head butt after 22 minutes. *****
Kurt Angle d. Legacy Champion Lou Thesz to win the title. Angle had a strong start to this match with suplexes and exchanges on the mat. German Suplexes were a weapon throughout for the challenger and did significant damage. Thesz battled back with some superior countering and then connected with a THESZ PRESS three times. Angle was able to get the shoulder up each time before Joey Marella was able to complete the three count. It was countless exchanges mixed in with some punishing suplexes from Angle. Thesz began to look wore out and Angle stepped up his attack with another German Suplex and then used a power bomb to capture the title after 20 minutes. *****
Back to back five star classics close out this history making night in Philadelphia as we have a new Legacy Champion. Up next is another Saturday Night Throwback as we in the City of Brotherly Love for action from the Spectrum. Matches already signed include the following:
* Marty Jannetty is tired of facing two on one situations against “Playboy” Buddy Rose & Doug Somers and he has promised he has found a partner to be his corner and issued a challenge to face Rose & Somers in tag team action. Rose & Somers accepted the challenge and showed no concern about who the Jannetty found to team with tells media that anyone who would team with Jannetty is a loser in any event.
* Back in February, PG 13 and The Taylor tore it up on Throwback with the match ending in a controversial count-out victory for J.C. Ice & Wolfe D. Since that time, the Taylor has been anticipating a chance to get some payback. Chaz & Tugboat Taylor will not have to wait any longer as the two teams will square off next week.
* Philadelphia has a long history of hardcore wrestling and two of competitors who know something about extreme competition will square off as Justin Credible takes on Philadelphia’s own Sandman in single action.
* In the exact opposite to extreme, Stanislaus Zbyszko will bring his catch wrestling style to the Spectrum to taken on Martin “Farmer” Burns in a vintage style encounter.
* The main event will be tag team action as the U.S. Express will be in action and will have the support of the fans as they battle the hated combo of Nikita & Ivan Koloff in what should be an intense encounter.

Card 01: Saturday Night Throwback Legacy Studios
We are going to kick off things with a studio show featuring competitors from across the Legacy Wrestling divisions. Let’s get to the action!
Gordon Solie welcomes us to the show and runs down what we can expect tonight including the dream match main event and details of the upcoming tournament to determine the Legacy Tag Team and Legacy World Champions. Solie is interrupted by Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager “Wild” Red Berry who confirm they are in the tag team title tournament and all but guarantee they will be winning the gold.
The Fabulous Kangaroos w/ “Wild” Red Berry d. “Sodbuster” Kenny Jay & Jake “Milkman: Milliman This had a wild start before Dick Woehrle could call for the bell as the Kangaroos tried to attack their opponents before the bell. Heffernan had evil intentions with a chair but Jay was game, took the weapon and smashed his opponent with hit. The fans were loving it as Jay took the battle to Heffernan. Milliman tagged in a kept the pressure on but Heffernan counted a chop to the chest and tagged in Costello who took out Milliman with an Aussie Suplex before the BOMMERANG ended it. * ½
Gordon Solie breaks down the round robin tournament to decide the first Legacy World Champion explaining that each Legacy Wrestling division was allowed to send one competitor each into the tournament which will be a round robin event. Three points for a clean victory, two points for a count-out of disqualification victory and one point for a draw will be awarded after each match. The competitor with the most points at the end of the tournament will be the first champion. Central American Pro Wrestling will be represented by Kurt Angle. Vintage Pro Wrestling will be represented by Jack Brisco. Atlantic Pro Wrestling will be represented by Lou Thesz. North East Championship Wrestling will be represented by Bob Backlund. Finally, No Limits Wrestling will be represented by the competitor featured in our next match, “Dr. Death” Steve Williams.
“Dr. Death” Steve Williams COR Mike Jackson Williams’ power was on full display early on as he tossed around Jackson. However, Jackson was able to catch Williams on the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat. The fans thought they may be witness for an upset but Williams was able to regain control after countering a deathjump cross body into a power slam for a near fall from Morgan Dollar. Williams was in no mood to mess around after that a lariat knocked Jackson clear of out the ring where he remained until after the ten count. *
Gordon Solie turns his attention to the Legacy Tag Team Title Tournament which will be the same format and the Legacy World Title Tournament. The aforementioned Fabulous Kangaroos will represent Vintage Pro Wrestling. The Flying Redheads will represent Central American Pro Wrestling. The Pitbulls will represent No Limits Wrestling. The Midnight Express will represent Atlantic Pro Wrestling the Valiant Brothers will represent North East Championship Wrestling. Let’s get back to the action where the Valiant Brothers are in the ring.
The Valiant Brothers d. The Mulkey Brothers Randy and Bill Mulkey stunned the fans by controlling the action against “Luscious” Johnny Valiant early on but Valiant was finally able to get the tag into “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant to turn the momentum of the action. Randy Mulkey ended up cut of from his corner and it was bad news when the Valiant Brothers struck with a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE for the three count from Morgan Dollar. *
Gordon Solie hypes our main event as Lou Thesz will team with Kurt Angle to take his guests at this time, Bob Backlund & Jack Brisco. Backlund and Brisco are interviewed but Angle leads Thesz out to get a few words in. Things quickly escalate when Angle ridicules Backlund’s interview skills and punches are exchanged. Security is needed and Backlund & Brisco get the worst of it before it all said and done. Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette d. Bob Cook & Ron Hutchison Cook and Hutchison had no answer to the tag team skills of the Express. Cook was cut off from his corner and the Express execute a pair of Double Goozles to slow Cook down before Condrey finished him off for the three count from James Beard after a gut wrench suplex. Jim Cornette is never at a loss for words and shares his thoughts with Gordon Solie on the upcoming tag team title tournament much to the distain of the fans.
Billy Red Lyons d. Pitbull #2 Once Morgan Dollar called for the bell, Lyons struggled to find a way to deal with the power of his opponent. Lyons managed to avoid a major offense from Pitbull and then countered a charge to the corner with a clothesline and then locked in a SLEEPERHOLD. From that point, Lyons used his speed to get the best of Pitbull #2 including a pair of flying elbow smashes, atomic drops and whips into the corner. A second SLEEPERHOLD really slowed down Pitbull #2 and Lyons put him away with an atomic drop. ** ½
Backstage, Bob Backlund & Jack Brisco are both advised not to compete by training staff but they agree they cannot let the fans down and head out of the dressing room to the ring.
Lou Thesz & Kurt Angle d. Jack Brisco & Bob Backlund The fans were behind Backlund and Brisco early who appeared banged up after their brawl with their opponents earlier tonight. Thesz and Angle could care less about what the fans think and go to work. The store in this one was Thesz & Angle getting the upper hand for stretches before Backlund and Brisco finding momentary offensive flurries before becoming overwhelmed again. Morgan Dollar was in charge of the action. Backlund thrilled the fans when he kicked out after THESZ PRESS mid way through the match. Backlund and Brisco managed to make key counters to just get out of trouble but their luck eventually ran out and Backlund ended cut off from his corner. He managed to kick out after a GRECO-ROMAN BACKBROP before fans came out of their seat when he kicked out of Angle’s OLYMPIC SLAM that immediately followed. Backlund had nothing left however as Angle quickly applied his ANKLE LOCK for the win. ****
Before Gordon Solie signs off, he hypes the main event for the next Saturday Night Throwback (Card 07) that will be a 20 man over the top rope battle royal for the Legacy Throwback Television Championship!
Some heeling actions from the combination of Lou Thesz & Kurt Angle set the done for tonight’s show and give them the win in the main event. Perhaps even more importantly, it appears that both Jack Brisco and Bob Backlund are not 100% heading into the first round of the title tournament. Brisco is fortunately that he has the first bye of the tournament and will have extra time to recovery. Up next, Vintage Pro Wrestling action from the International Amphitheatre in Chicago where the title tournaments will get rolling: Matches already signed: * In a battle of science v. brute strength, Ivan Koloff steps into the ring to challenge the Wilbur Synder. The winner of the contest should be considered a top contender when the Legacy World Title is defended in the division as some point in the near future. * The always popular Bobo Brazil will be action as he will team up with Tiger Conway Sr. to battle the dangerous pairing of Tommy Gilbert and Iron Mike Dibiase.
* The Battle for the belts gets underway in Chicago with tag team action as The Fabulous Kangaroos take on The Bitbulls in opening round of the tag team title tournament. It is an interesting clash and the team that is able to assert their style could have a distinct advantage. As well, the Kangaroos will have “Wild” Red Berry in their corner. * Billy Red Lyons had an impressive outing in singles action tonight but will he be able to translate that success into tag team action as Lyons joins Flying Redheads partner Red Bastien to battle The Valiant Brothers in the opening round of the Legacy Tag Team Title Tournament. * Putting Bob Backlund away proved a difficult task tonight even when the was not 100%. Fans will be curious to see if “Dr. Death” Steve Williams will be up to the task in Chicago as the two will be first round opponents in the Legacy World Title Tournament. * They were tag team partners as part of the main event tonight but Lou Thesz and Kurt Angle will be opponents in the main event in Chicago. Angle appears to have some momentum, first taking the lead in the confrontation with Bob Backlund and then getting Backlund to tap out tonight. It remains to be seen whether or not Angle will be able to carry that momentum into the first round of the Legacy World Title Tournament.

Card 02: Vintage Pro Wrestling International Amphitheatre, Chicago, IL **All matches with vintage charts**
We are in The Windy City and the Amphitheatre is sold out for the start of the title tournaments with the dream match of all time great Lou Thesz battling Olympian Kurt Angle in the main event. Gary Michael Cappetta is ready so let’s get to the action.
Jerry Brisco d. The Grappler Morgan Dollar called for the bell and The Grappler took the immediate upper hand using his size advantage and brawling tactics to punish Brisco. Dollar issued several warnings to Grappler about not allowing Brisco to get back into the ring. Brisco managed to have his moments, catching Grappler with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for a near submission. The Grappler again pushed around Brisco and used several Grappler Twists to wear out his opponent. Brisco looked to be down and out but countered a late attack in the corner and then trapped Grappler in a Boston Crab for the submission after 12 minutes. ** ½
George Hackenschmidt DDQ George Tragos Things started before Gary Michael Cappetta finished his introduction with Tragos on the attack trying to get the advantage on his more powerful opponent. It did not really work out but his dynamic upper body throw did turn things in his favour. Both men went to the floor and things broke down beyond the control of Dick Woehrle after only three minutes with result being a double disqualification. *
Bobo Brazil & Tiger Conway Sr. b. “Iron” Mike DiBiase & Tommy Gilbert Gilbert and DiBiase had a clear plan to keep Brazil out of the ring and it worked to perfection in the first half of the match but Conway Sr. was able to avoid getting into a position where his opponents could go for the win before Brazil was eventually able to get into the action. Brazil actually struggled and DiBiase nearly picked up the three count after a TOP ROPE KNEE DROP. It was only after Conway Sr. was able to get back into the ring that things picked up and he put away Gilbert after 11 minutes after a LET’S TWIST & HEAD BUTT. * ½
Ivan Koloff d. Wilbur Snyder Koloff jumps Snyder before Gary Michael Cappetta finishes his introductions and Snyder never really recovers. Snyder is tossed to the floor and appears to strike his head. He manages to avoid the count -out but Koloff is ready with a BEAR HUG for the submission call from Morgan Dollar after just two minutes. DUD.
Pitbulls DQ The Fabulous Kangaroos Woehrle called for the bell and Pitbull #1 and Roy Heffernan trades moves. Pitbull looked to be in trouble but a dynamic throw of the out of corner stunned Heffernan for a near fall. SUPER BOMB followed and Al Costello quickly jumped in to save his partner but Woehrle would have non of it and called for the disqualification after five minutes. *
Bob Backlund d. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams Backlund comes to the ring taped up and clearly is not 100% after the attack by Thesz & Angle on Saturday Night Throwback. Despite this, Backlund is aggressive in his attack and counters. Williams found himself planted to the mat with a piledriver for near fall from Morgan Dollar. Backlund followed up with an ATOMIC DROP for the shocking victory after just four minutes. *
Valiant Brothers d. The Flying Redheads The Valiant Brothers focused on Red Bastien early and “Luscious” Johnny Valiant tossed Bastien to the floor. Bastien landed awkwardly on leg and had to limp his way back into the action. Billy Red Lyons was quick to get into the match at his next opportunity and had to basically wrestle a handicap match from that point. Lyons was looking very impressive until “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant clocked him with a foreign object and covered him for the three count from Morgan Dollar after six minutes (Snake Eyes!). **
Kurt Angle COR Lou Thesz It was a handshake at the bell. The countering was very impressive early on but Angle found a way to press the advantage score a two count from Dick Woehrle with an OLYMIC SLAM and then forcing Thesz to grab the ropes to escape an ANKLE LOCK. Thesz battled back and used a THESZ PRESS but could not get three count. Thesz used a release power bomb for another near fall. Angle was in trouble and when both men tumbled from the ring, it was Angle who shifted and landed on top of Thesz. Dick Woehrle counted and it was Angle who was able to regain the ring while Thesz, who appeared to have struck his head, could not after nine minutes. ***
Some shocking results out the gate in the title tournaments! Up next, we head to The Omni in Atlanta, GA for a night of Atlantic Pro Wrestling action. The title tournaments will continue in addition to several other matches. Here is what has been advertised:
* Rick Rude was not happy about being passed over for the Legacy World Title Tournament and plans to show the fans and promoters alike the error of their ways when he takes on Brian Blair in singles action.
* One of the most violent feuds in history will be rekindled in Atlanta when Tully Blanchard steps back into the ring with his nemesis Magnum T.A. These two pushed each other to the point of madness and thrilled fans with the intense violent battles and the fans in Atlanta are hoping for more. * Midnight Express will be rested coming off their bye when they step into the ring with the Pitbulls who shocked the wrestling world with a victory over tournament favourites Fabulous Kangaroos tonight. Will the Pitbulls be able to continue their run or will Jim Cornette have an answer to their mix of power and skill that will give the Express the advantage.
* The Flying Redheads and Fabulous Kangaroos both know that they need a victory in the next round of the tournament of risk being left behind when the final points are tallied at the end of the Battle for the Belts. The clash between the teams should be a classic with the winner moving closer to the gold and the losers surely being out of contention. * Jack Brisco has had some time to recover from his injury at the hands of Lou Thesz & Kurt Angle at the studio show and will have the opportunity for some payback when he steps into the ring with Lou Thesz in Atlanta. Will the desire to get back at Thesz be a distraction that Thesz will be able to capitalized on or will cooler heads prevail in this potential classic showdown. * Bob Backlund is expected to be fully recovered by the time of the Omni event and will be looking forward to getting some payback against Kurt Angle who submitted Backlund on Saturday Night Throwback. The winner of this match, and the three points they will earn, will put them in front of the race to claim the Legacy World Title.

Card 03: Atlantic Pro Wrestling The Omni, Atlanta, GA
Legacy Wrestling is looking to add to the already rich wrestling history in The Omni. We are at capacity especially considering the double main event making tonight a very hot ticket. To the ring!
Frank Dalton d. Sam Houston It was back and forth early on. Houston took over and connected with dropkicks and a running lariat that spilled Dalton to the floor. Houston hit a BULLDOG but could not get the three count from Dick Woehrle. Dalton stormed back with more than questionable tactics including guillotine on the bottom rope and twice smashing Houston with his boot earning great heat. Houston thrilled the fans when he kicked out after an ATOMIC DROP but a sleeper really sapped the life from Houston and Dalton put him away after 8 minutes with a second ATOMIC DROP. ***
Buddy Rogers d. Rangers Ross Rogers started off strong and never let up while gloating to the fans the entire match. Ross had virtually no offence as Rogers punished his opponent in and out of the ring. A chair shot to the leg outside the ring brought the fans to a boil and Rogers used a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE for the submission from Morgan Dollar after four minutes. DUD
Rick Rude d. Brian Blair Joey Marella was in charge of the action that went back and forth initially before Rude targeted the back with a backbreaker and suplex. Blair countered back and forced Rude off the ropes but Rude countered a backdrop with a piledriver. Blair was stunned and Rude capitalized with a RUDE AWAKENING after just three minutes. *
Magnum T.A. d. Tully Blanchard So much history. So much violence. There was intensity from the opening bell as Joey Marella did not best to control the action. Allen was the aggressor with dropkicks and punches. Allen did not shy away from going for the pin several times in an effort to put his hated foe away early. Blanchard stopped the momentum with a foreign object blow that busted Allen open. Blanchard focused his attack on the wound and soon Allen was wearing the crimson mask. Allen battled back with the fans supporting him. Allen used a chair to smash Blanchard during a brawl on the floor across the back. Allen took over the match from that point and took the three count after a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX after eight minutes. ***
Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette d. Pitbulls Interesting matchup with the fans getting behind the Pitbulls but it was the Express who were able to get the early advantage when the cut off Pitbull #2. Dennis Condrey nearly put Pitbull #2 away with a deathjump cross body block but Dick Woehrle only reached two. The Pitbulls used their power to get back into the ring and a SUPERBOMB should have ended it when the pin save was blocked but Cornette caused a distraction to keep the Express in the match. The Express did not waste the action of their manager and took over the match late and Bobby Eaton used an Alabama Jam on Pitbull #1 for the three count after ten minutes. ****
The Fabulous Kangaroos w/”Wild” Red Berry d. The Flying Redheads The pace was quick from the moment James Beard called for the bell and that favoured Red Bastien and Billy Red Lyons. The Kangaroos used some quick tags to slow things down and get back into the match. Bastien and Lyons combined for rapid fire dropkicks on Al Costello to kick off an offense run but they could not get the three count before Costello countered Lyons’ charge to the corner with a clothesline that gave him a two count. The BOOMERANG followed after nine minutes and the pin save was blocked. **
Bob Backlund d. Kurt Angle The fans were electric for this one before Morgan Dollar gave his strict instructions to both men. Backlund clearly had something to prove after the comments Angle had made about his interviews and promos on Saturday Night Throwback. The countering was very close early on but Backlund managed to lock in a Boston Crab that forced Angle to the ropes. Angle could not find a way to get past the defensive counters of his opponent. Angle tried a snap suplex but Backlund countered and lifted Angle into a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall and then finished the match after five minutes with an ATOMIC DROP. * ½
Lou Thesz d. Jack Briso Brisco gets the upper hand at the bell but Thesz counters a suplex assortment with a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP for a near fall. The count of Morgan Dollar seems quick and Thesz tries to take advantage with a THESZ PRESS but Brisco kick out at the last second. Thesz connects with dropkicks and it is enough for the win after just three minutes. *
Bob Backlund leads the way after two rounds with six points followed by Lou Thesz who has three and Kurt Angle with two points. In the tag team tournament, Fabulous Kangaroos, Midnight Express and Valiant Brothers are deadlocked at three points each with the Pitbulls at two points. Up next, we showcase Central American Pro Wrestling at the St. Paul Civic Center in St. Paul Minnesota with the following bouts already signed:
* Pierre Carl Oullett and Jacques Rougeau will be looking to enforce the law when the appear in St. Paul but it unlikely that their opponents, The Double Axe Attack paring or Curt Hennig and his father Larry Hennig will be in the mood to comply. Should be a fun encounter with both teams looking towards a possible tag team title shot down the road.
* Two competitors who know each other well from a tag team war that ranged in the central states for the better part of a year will back in the ring against each other, this time in singles action, as Marty Jannetty steps back into the ring “Playboy” Buddy Rose. * As the Tag Team Tournament moves on, the margin for error has become non-exist. The Pitbulls are just off the lead and will step into the ring with the Valiant Brothers. With just one point separating the two teams, look for both sides to lay it all on the line in what could be a wild encounter.
* The Midnight Express and Fabulous Kangaroos are deadlocked at three points each in the title tournament and they will meet in round three of the Battle for the Belts with the winner having to be considered the front runner to capture the gold. Who knows what will happen with both “Wild” Red Berry & Jim Cornette at ringside.
* “Dr. Death” Steve Williams is winless in tournament action so far and his road will not get any easier in St. Paul as he will have find a way to get the best of Lou Thesz if he as any hope of being in the running at the end of the tournament. Will this be the end of the road for Williams?
* Kurt Angle will be looking to end Jack Brisco’s hopes of winning the Legacy World Title when the two clash in the main event. Brisco has yet to find any success in the tournament and his back is up against the wall

Card 04: Central American Pro Wrestling St. Paul Civic Center, St. Paul, Minnesota
We are getting close to the end of the Battle of the Belts event so fans have turned out to see who will be eliminated from contention with the tag team title tournament being the main subject at ringside before the matches. King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby “The Brain” Heenan DQ Johnny Mantell Bundy looks huge in the ring and just pushes around his opponent from the opening bell. Bundy may have taken Mantell too lightly Mantel ducked a clothesline and then toppled Bundy with a dropkick for a huge near fall from Joey Martella. Mantell took over from that point and only the distraction of the Heenan kept the action going after a cross body block from Mantell. Bundy managed to kick out after a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. Bundy was eventually able to get back into the match before the action spilled to the floor. Bundy grabbed a chair but Mantell took it way and smashed Bundy with the weapon for the disqualification after 11 minutes. **
Marty Jannetty d. “Playboy” Buddy Rose Great pace to this one from the bell after Morgan Dollar gave strict instructions to both men. Rose gloated to the fans and earned some solid heat in return. Jannetty managed to ignore the antics and gained the upper hand after a brawl on the floor. Back in the ring, Rose countered a backdrop with a piledriver but could not put Jannetty away with an INSIDE BACKBREAKER. Jannetty stormed back and used a dropkick to set up the ROCKER DROPPER for the three count after four minutes. While Jannetty celebrates the victory, Rose strikes from behind with a chair shot across the back. Rose then proceeds to beat down Jannetty with the weapon leaving him in a heap in the middle of the ring. Jannetty needs medical assistance to leave the ring. **
Double Axe Attack d. Quebecers Pierre Carl Oullett and Jacques Rougeau did not do any favours for themselves getting under the skin of Morgan Dollar before the bell. The action was back and forth with both sides making tags. The hoss showdown between Larry Hennig and Oullett had the fans roaring. Jacques Rougeau managed to kick out of a couple of covers from both Hennigs who really took over the action after the Quebecers missed timed a TOWER OF QUEBEC. The finish came after ten minutes when Larry Hennig hit Jacques Rougeau with a simple elbow drop and Curt Hennig blocked the pin save. * ½ Diamond Dallas Page DQ Adrian Adonis Adonis had the advantage early on and nearly took the victory in the opening minute after a gut wrench back breaker. Page battled back thanks to the fans support including an impressive face first piledriver and later a DIAMOND CUTTER. Adonis kicked out at the last second the fans were stunned. The action spilled outside shortly after that and Adonis used a chair to choke out Page against the ring apron and then on the floor. The attack was vicious enough that even referee James Beard had to make the disqualification call after five minutes. ** Lou Thesz d. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams The classic match up of power v. science was up next with James Beard wearing the stripes. Thesz was able to set the pace early and looked to have the match won after a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP but Williams kicked out. From that point, Williams began to assert his power and slammed Thesz to mat multiple times with slams, bombs and tackles. A lariat sent Thesz spilling to the floor. Thesz appeared done but kicked out after an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE popping the fans. It was back and forth after that. Williams appears to run out of gas and Thesz catches him with dropkicks and covers for the three count (Snake Eyes) after ten minutes. ***
The Valiant Brothers DDQ The Pitbulls Official Dr. Woehrle had his hands full from early on as the Pitbulls rocked ringside and “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant with a Doomsday Device to the floor! Moments later, Valiant went into the ring post and was busted open. Valiant was eventually able to get the tag to “Luscious” Johnny Valiant but the momentum did not change for that long. The double teaming of the Pitbulls allowed them to control most of the action. As the match progressed, both teams spent more and more time brawling on the floor pushing Woehrle’s tolerance until finally the official had enough and through out the match calling for a double disqualification after 13 minutes. Both sides brawled their way to the back after the bell. ***
The Fabulous Kangaroos w/”Wild” Red Berry DQ Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette This was a crazy encounter from start to finish. The Kangaroos were able to cut off Deniss Condrey from his partner early on and then executed two BOMERBANGS but could not get the win due first the distraction of Cornette and second due to the interference of Cornette who landed a tennis rack shot to Al Costello. The Express capitalized with a ROCKET LAUNCHER but the pin save of Roy Heffernan allowed the match to continue. Eaton nearly took the win after an Alabama Jam on Costello and later Eaton survived a STEPOVER TOEHOLD from Heffernan. With the Kangaroos in control, the action spilled to the floor and Eaton used Cornette’s racket to smash Heffernan and that was enough for Morgan Dollar to call for the disqualification. ****
Kurt Angle d. Jack Brisco The story in this one was Angle using a series of German Suplexes to wear out Jack Brisco throughout the match. Brisco was unable to get anything going without Angle launching him onto the back of his skull with a German. Brisco managed to make the ropes to escape an ANKLE LOCK. The counter in between German carried on and Brisco finally had a moment to trap Angle in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Angle made the ropes to keep the match going. Angle used a backbreak for a huge near fall from Joey Marella before using a second ANKLE LOCK to finally get the submission after nine minutes. *****
Jannetty – Two Card Injury. This was a wild night of action half the matches ending in disqualification and Marty Jannetty being injured in a post match attack by “Playboy” Buddy Rose.
Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund sit at the top of the Legacy World Title Tournament at six points each followed closely by Kurt Angle with five points. With just six points remaining, the winless “Dr. Death” Steve Williams and Jack Brisco are essentially out of contention. In the Tag Team Title Tournament, the Fabulous Kangaroos have rebounded from their first round loss and now lead with five points. The Valiant Brothers are undefeated with four points while the Midnight Express and Pitbulls are deadlocked at three points each. Up next, we head to the east with a show from Madison Square Garden in New York featuring the competitors from East Coast Championship Wrestling. Matches already signed include the following:
* Jimmy Hart will lead the Dream Team into the Garden as they take on a tandem that should have fans solidly in their corner, Antonino Rocca & Ilio DiPaolo.
* One of the hottest feuds of the early eighties will be rekindled in New York as Sgt. Slaughter once again steps into the ring with his greatest foe, the Iron Sheik. There has been plenty of blood spilled between these two in the past and fans can expect more of the same at the Garden. * The Pitbulls will step into the ring with the Flying Redheads. Pitbull #2 came up short in singles action against Billy Red Lyons back on Saturday Night Throwback and will be looking for some payback as part of the tag team title tournament. * The Valiant Brothers look to keep their undefeated run in the tournament going when they meet the Midnight Express who will need a victory to stay alive in the event. Jim Cornette will be at ringside and it is unlikely either team will have the support of the fans. * Jack Brisco and Steve Williams have had little to celebrate so far in the Battle for the Belts event but both men have too much pride not to continue to fight. They will meet in singles action that will not mean much in the standing, but it will see at least one man pick up their first victory of the tournament. * Bob Backlund and Lou Thesz sit atop of the tournament standing and will finally clash one on one after being on opposite sides of tag team action back on Saturday Night Showdown. The winner will punch their ticket to title glory and the loser will have to wait for a shot at the gold down the road.

Card 05: North East Championship Wrestling Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
“Iron” Mike Mccord d. S.D. Jones Mccord really dominated the match right after Morgan Dollar called for the bell but Jones had his moments that had the fans on their feet as well. Jones survived a pair of BEAR HUGS and kicked out after a jumping elbow smash as well. Jones was able to claim a two count of his own after a spinning neckbreaker. Mccord managed to duck a charge into the corner, rolled up Jones and hooks the tights for a three count that had the fans up in arms after eight minutes. **
Paul Orndoff d. Hillbilly Jim Jim had the fans dancing at their seats as he came to the ring and then had the fans roaring with his cartwheels in the ring. “Mr. Wonderful” was not impressed however and slammed his opponent onto the floor at ringside leading to near count-out. Jim managed to kick out after a short term clothesline but Orndorff followed with a JUMPING PILEDRIVER and Joey Marella made the three count after four minutes. *
Antonino Rocca & Ilio DiPaolo d. Dream Team w/ Jimmy Hart Morgan Dollar caused an uproar when he sent Hart packing before the bell. Rocca & DiPaolo controlled the action for significant stretches but the Dream Team was able to make key defensive tags to narrowly escape disaster each time. Greg Valentine finally got something going and was able to catch DiPaolo in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK but DiPaolo managed to roll over Valentine to break the hold. Valentine went back to his submission finisher again but this time a rope break kept DiPaolo in the match. Beefcake kept the momentum going and then Valentine entered back into the battle but Rocca finally hot tagged in. Rocca was on fire and caught Valentine with a flying head scissors for a near fall then executed a cross body deathjump for the three count after eleven minutes. **
Sgt. Slaughter DQ Iron Sheik Sheik grabbed the mic and told the fans what he thought of them before the bell and was quickly the most hated man in the building. Slaughter and Sheik knew each other so well that neither man could get the upper hand in the initial exchanges but the Slaughter connected with a dropkick and things did not go well for Sheik after that. A Slaughter Cannon rocked the Sheik and the kicks with military boots had the fans roaring. They battled to the floor and Sheik cracked Slaughter across the back with a chair and Joey Marella quickly called for the disqualification after just three minutes. The fans wanted more and more then received as both men brawled until security filled the ring for a pull apart. *
Jack Brisco d. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams Willams tried to use his power to get the advantage early but Brisco had him scouted and was ready. Brisco had all the necessary counters and then went after William’s wheels. Brisco picked up three near falls from Morgan Dollar with ROLLING REVERSE CRADLES and continued to target the lower body of his opponent leading to a submission with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK after just four minutes. * Pitbulls d. The Flying Redheads The Pitbulls looked very impressive early on making quick tags and using double teaming to press the attack against their opponents. The Redheads were able to weather the storm and took control when Lyons reversed a whip on the floor that sent Pitbull #2 into the ring post busting him open. The Redheads went to work with their skill and speed picking a pair of near falls from Joey Marella on Pitbull #2 before he was able to tag out. From that point, the Redheads set the pace and the Pitbulls were able to make key tags on defense to keep themselves in the match. Late, Pitbull #1 was in serious trouble against Bastien but a blind tag to Pitbull #2 allowed Pitbull #2 to take out Bastien with a spinning heel kick for the win after eleven minutes. ** ½
Valiant Brothers d. Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant and Bobby Eaton battled at the opening bell both in and out of the ring. They trade smashes from the top before the Valiant Brothers made a key tag and took out Eaton after just three minutes with a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE for the three count from Joey Marella. DUD
Lou Thesz d. Bob Backlund Backlund had payback on his mind after Thesz was involved in the brawl with Backlund on Saturday Night Throwback but he would have tough go of it tonight. Thesz countered to near perfection and neither man could really break though until Thesz countered backdrop with piledriver. Backlund could never recover but managed to kick out after a THESZ PRESS and GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP. Thesz kept on Backlund and finished it after just six minutes with a THESZ PRESS under the watch or Morgan Dollar. **
With four rounds completed, Lou Thesz had earned nine points and with just three possible points remaining has won the bracket and will be the first Legacy World Champion! On the tag team side, it has come down to the Fabulous Kangaroos and the Valiant Brothers. Up next, the last card of the Battle for the Belts event from the No Limits Arena in Philadelphia. Matches already signed:
* Shane Douglas and 2 Cold Scorpio once met in a classic encounter for a major title and the two will once again meet in singles action as part of the first No Limits Event.
* Mr. PPV, Mr. Monday Night and now Mr. No Limits, Rob Van Dam will be action when he faces his classic foe Jerry Lynn in single action. * In what should be classic, the Flying Redheads will battle the Midnight Express. Both teams are known for their speed and double teaming. Both will be looking to stake their claim for a shot at the tag team titles in the coming events.
* The frustration of Steve Williams cannot be understated as “Dr. Death” has yet to pick up any points in the tournament. Will he be able to finally gain a victory over Kurt Angle in the last night of the tournament?
* Bob Backlund and Jack Brisco will be looking to make a statement when the two collegiate athletes clash in what should be a thrilling mat classic. How will the hardcore Philly fans take to this encounter?
* The main event will see the final two teams left standing in the Tag Team Title Tournament do battle with the winner walking away with the gold. Valiant Brothers v. The Fabulous Kangaroos.
