Sting's Final Opponent

With Sting announcing his retirement at Revolution 2024 who should be his final opponent?

It will probably be Flair or Darby

It's gotta be Darby. I think even Flair recently admitted he is done and shouldn't have done his last match.

I agree, please no more Flair. That last match was painful, I couldn’t get through it.

In a perfect world it would be Flair or Undertaker. In the world we live in Darby seems right, but I think MJF getting that extra rub of beating a legend in his last match would be sweet. No, MJF does not need that as this point but can one's resume have too much on it? I don't think so.

I think Darby Allin will be Sting's final opponent, but I also think at some point prior to Revolution 2024 (perhaps on a Dynamite or another PPV) Sting will also wrestle Adam Copeland in a match.

I could see him doing a farewell tour of sorts. Matches against Jericho, Copeland, MJF, etc. But for the final match I would bet on Darby. I could see Jarrett too but I'm betting on Darby. Tony Khan leans on "dream matches" more than matches that make sense storyline-wise, meaning you get match justifications like "We've never fought, we should fight." rather than the "I hate you guts. Always have, always will. I'm retiring so I want to kick your butt one last time."
