Everyone is working hard like elves in Santa's cosmic workshop for our incredible holiday releases!
I will be examining the latest proof for EARLY CLASSICS cards and handbook before I go to bed tonight. What a treat! GWF fans are going to love (or at least I HOPE they are going to love) getting 20+ game cards and a cool handbook with stories and wrestler descriptions. Mike and Todd and I have been at it for a while today. This is one of our biggest COTG releases of all time and is a celebration of our great history!
Speaking of COTG the three extra GWF cards that I have created are also in the production pipeline and I hope they will add an extra dimension to your current 2139 game fed.
I have been proofreading the LEGENDS game cards and they also look sensational. We are very fortunate to work with such outstanding artists! Our LEGENDS team is as talented as it gets and we enjoy lively debates on card balance, ratings, and everything else. You can count on the fact that much care and love goes into every game card we release.
WOMEN OF THE INDIES is also coming along nicely as we continue to pay tribute not only to wrestling stars in our LEGENDS series but also up-and-coming stars---the wrestlers that work hard sometimes for little pay and recognition---on the Indie circuit.
We are pushing ourselves to the limit to bring you an awesome FG holiday season. After that we are going to take a deep breath and relax before we schedule our 2024 releases. You'll have plenty of new cards to use to last the first couple months of 2024 before we return with a vengeance for another monster year. There's our virtual con scheduled for January and then I will make announcements about our release schedule (or at least the stuff that we will publicly announce. There have to be a few well-planned "surprises" to keep loyal promoters on their toes!
I am also making headway in scheduling us to return to our sacred home of origin---the Sheldon House---for GALACTICON in June! There are new owners so it isn't as easy as it was when I worked at Jamestown Community College, so it's not official yet. When it is I will let everyone know!
I will be taping a podcast with Grant to have our annual discussion about the latest GWF release---this time the making of ORIGINS 2139. I always enjoy those discussions especially after playing my 2139 season. I will be sharing some unreleased prelim game drawings and discussing the evolution of the characters. Always fun and I hope you enjoy when it comes out.
I am also planning to participate in a podcast with Mike and Broc discussing REVOLUTION 2098. I also enjoy these retro talks as we continue to celebrate milestones in GWF history.
If I am ever accused of too much enthusiasm and light-heartedness in the spirit of creative legends like Stan Lee then I will plead GUILTY as charged! I'm not embarrassed at all by it and I don't believe in getting older and more boring. That little eight-year in me is still alive and well and simply won't let it happen! Do you know the secret to being in touch with your inner child as you age? It's simple, don't ever let him die in the first place! And I'm sure that's true for many of you as well.
Until the Show Stopper teaches a course in humility...
