They have their own trucks...why are they still messing with the USPS? Tournament Master, I think it probably has something to do with the fact that those trucks may not be as prevalent in smaller more rural locales (read anywhere outside of cities with less than 75k people), and thus, the USPS has to take care of them. I will say for me, paying for Priority Express Mail shipping for FG orders is worth it to me - as I like to know that once the package hits my post office, it will be delivered that same day no matter what time it arrives! 75K is still a pretty big suburb and Amazon trucks are definitely still plentiful in cities/suburbs much smaller than that.

My town only has 500 people in it and sometimes we have two different Amazon trucks stop by the house in the same day.

That's fair. Although if you live in a place rural enough not to have Amazon tricks I'm sure your Filsinger package was taking a long time anyway. That explains why it takes so long for mail to get to us. It took 2 weeks from when it was shipped to get my last order.
Also took 2 weeks for my Mom to get some important papers in the mail. But my friend's Christmas card arrived in only 3 days!

If orders take a bit to get to us it is possible, according to a news story I saw last night/early this morning, that Amazon is to blame. The word is the deal between USPS and Amazon is that Amazon packages get priority over other mail. They have their own trucks...why are they still messing with the USPS? More exposure and coverage area. I would think Amazon would prefer to cut out USPS and do it all on their own. They just cannot find enough competent drivers to do that. Part of their desire to go to drone deliveries. Taking over the world takes time.

We are moving ever closer to 15th, which I know is a tentative mail by date. Mark it down we are 11 days away from that day - currently at the latest!

Happy holidays to everyone!
We are still shooting for a Dec 15 mailing date. It looks like LEGENDS and INDIES are finished. We are meticulously going through EARLY CLASSICS with the usual last minutes discussions of card moves. If we had a mailing date of Dec 15, 3000 we would still be debating to the end! That's how much everyone cares about the game and making the card stats make sense.
This is especially true for EC as a potential starting point for new some new fans. EC has to be able to transition smoothly into the 2011 color 2087 cards for the original 24 wrestlers and then the color reboots that followed. That's harder than it sounds. We take everything seriously here at Fed HQ. My goal is a coherent game universe and with over 75 game editions overall (main GWF sets plus spinoffs) that's a challenging task.
But we are up to the challenge! And we know that loyal promoters wouldn't expect anything less.
So now I will return to my "last look" at EARLY CLASSICS game cards. I look forward to talking about this game edition with promoters at our virtual con next month.
We are still shooting for a Dec 15 mailing date. Stay tuned and I will be more specific in the days ahead.
Onward!

I definitely do not want the cards to mail until Tom thinks they are ready for us to receive. But I am really hoping the release/mailing date of 12/15 happens and, because of my upcoming overseas travel plans, I am waiting to find out before placing my Cycle 4 order.
I fly out to Rome on December 18th and I am really hoping to take Early Classics with me. So if the 12/15 mailing date happens then I plan to order overnight shipping. Then I can continue my daily fed playing streak in Italy by using the Early Classics cards (otherwise I will bring other cards with me to keep my almost 3-year daily playing streak active.)
If the cards are not ready for mailing on 12/15, I will just order regular shipping and look forward to having the new cards waiting for me in my mailbox when I return from Italy. Either way, I am really looking forward to getting all these new cards!
