When I saw The Iron Claw one of the trailers was for The Fall Guy. I had heard they were doing a movie based on the TV show. I was not interested. It stars Ryan Gosling and nothing against him but not a fan. The trailer made the movie look pretty good. Not sure I will see it in a theater but would watch it on TV for sure. It looks funny and this time the stuntman is kind of forced into the "bounty hunter" role. I give it a thumbs up. (That will be funny once you see the trailer.)

I did not see a Video Game area and did not know where in AEW this news would best go so decided to post it here. For those that have not heard, I just found out myself tonight, Samoa Joe is doing the voice work for King Shark in the new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League video game. I thought that was pretty cool and surprised when I saw that on Wiki.

I heard Deal or No Deal was coming back. I was looking forward to it. Then I found out they turned it into a Deal or No Deal/Survivor hybrid called Deal of No Deal Island. No thanks. Pass.

Izzy Moreno speaking of you living in Florida, Martin, please let me know if I can buy you a beer when I go to Tampa Bay the last weekend in March I am not sure how close you are to Tampa Bay and I know you work in the hotel industry so March in Florida (Spring Break time) will probably be very busy for you, but if a time is possible that works with both of our schedules then I would be honored to buy you a beer. |

She strikes me as someone who's going to make it in the industry because of her drive. A bit sad though that she feels like she sacrificed her entire childhood to chase her dream. No matter how driven and dedicated a child is to make it to the big time it's also important for kids to have time to just be kids. |

The problem is my days off are Monday and Tuesdays while the hours I work are 3-11 PM. So it would have to be early in the day, which I'm not a morning person, or after Midnight. I live about 30 minutes from Ybor, 45 or so from Tampa. We will discuss it closer to when you are here. |

She is experiencing what a lot of athletes, especially pros, and actors have gone thru at a young age. There is only so much time in a day and if you want to succeed especially at a high level you have to put in the work...and time. Sacrifices need to be made. That's life. |

Battle Beyond the Stars
It was on the Movies network last night so I watched it again. I know it is a cheap ripoff of Star Wars but I still like it. Normally I am not one for reboots/remakes but I feel if they did this with a decent budget and a bit better talent it could be a really fun popcorn summer movie. Interesting connection between this movie and COTG. Way back in the day when I started playing this game, meaning early 90's, this movie inspired my big PPV event of the year, Battle Among The Stars. Now, over time I have forgotten if I just had the name of the movie wrong and named the PPV after it or if playing around with the name of the movie I thought my name was more fitting for the PPV. I do know that over the years I have thought the movie was "Among" and not "Beyond".
Once this movie was over last night another came on that I had seen the title before and knew a bit about.
A Boy and His Dog
If the title seems underwhelming that is how I found most of the movie. It is your typical run of the mill post World War IV, yes I said 4 as this 1975 movie had WW3 go down in the 70s and 80s while WW4 was a 5 day war in 2007 that ended in nuking most of the Earth, boy wanders the wasteland with his telepathic dog. You know, something you see all the time. Jokes aside it was a decent enough movie for low budget and was one of Don Johnson's early roles. I figure some of it might have been chopped up for broadcast TV. It is based on a book that I might check out one day to see if it goes more in-depth of what is happening in the world. Some things were explained or one can figure out in the movie but a lot was not.
EDIT: I forgot to mention. A Boy and His Dog is supposed to be taking place in 2024. Thus, it makes it "topical" I think. Or timely. Next year will actually be the 50th anniversary of the movie.

I.S.S.
I saw this yesterday and it was pretty good. Basically 6 people, 3 American and 3 Russian, on the I.S.S. when war breaks out between their two countries on Earth. They have to decide to follow orders from their commanders on Earth and take over the station for their country or work together. A decent suspenseful movie I give a B grade. Not great but entertaining.
Funny story, will get my snacks and making sure she scanned the coupon and ordering my ticket I said "one for Isis". I quickly realized my brain fart but we had a laugh and she said she knew what I meant.
Saw some cool previews but one looks like a must see for me. Abigail. No spoilers as what I am about to say is in the trailer. A bad guy kidnaps the young ballerina daughter of a rich man to hold for ransom. The bad guy hires a few mercenaries to watch her for 24 hours. What could go wrong. Oh, did I mention the young girl is a VAMPIRE. Yea, I guess something could go wrong now that I think about it. A ballerina child vampire. From the scenes I saw the actress is bad ass in the role. This is a movie where you can root against both sides and do not care who gets hurt. I mean, it looks like they try and make one of the mercenaries seem likeable but still. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Or more fitting, Do what is right if you can't stand the bite. Yea, it is low budget, no stars I recognized but a unique idea and I am looking forward to when it comes out.
