ANOTHER ONE The CAC would like to extend our condolences to the legendary Argentinian luchadores, Coloso Colosetti, who passed away this morning at the age of 76. Most in America would recognize his name as a mainstay at the Olympic Auditorium in the 70’s and 80’s and throughout Texas during the same time. Colosetti was a huge name in Mexico in the 60’s and 70’s, once winning the NWA World Light Heavyweight title from Ray Mendoza in 1968, and wrestling in many hair vs mask and hair vs hair matches in his career while in Mexico. Those who knew him through his career have had nothing but the kindest things to say about the man, both in and out of the ring

STORYSheena, the Missing Link’s valet — and wife — dies There was only one woman who could control the mysterious Missing Link, and it was Sheena. To wrestling fans in Texas or Mississippi, it was an odd act, even in pro wrestling. A jacked, unspeaking, Neanderthal grunting wrestler, accompanied by a well-dressed, reserved woman. In reality, it was the husband and wife team of Dewey and Gail Robertson. Gail’s death on November 17, at the age of 80, at Emmanuel House Hospice-Good Shepherd in Hamilton, Ontario, was not unexpected, and the two sons of Gail and Dewey Robertson — Mark and Jason — had warned this writer that she was failing back in March. But telling her story involves a lot outside of the ring, including family strife, nudist colonies, working out and steroids, and walking away from a marriage when Dewey would not / could not seek help for his addictions. The tale starts December 29, 1943, with the Hamilton, Ontario, birth of Gail Marie Stirling, with her brother, Jim, six years her senior. It’s important to mention Jim because she was a doting aunt for the rest of her life — and she had her nephews alongside her at the Mountainside Pool in town when she met her future husband.

FROM BOB COOK Don Lastra, a pro wrestling and roller derby referee that I've been good friends with since 1983! Don passed away yesterday at the age of 88! He ref'ed at least a hundred of my matches through the years! Great guy, in and out of the ring! Heaven gained another great one! Referee Don Lastra giving Bill Anderson a tongue lashing for some dastardly deed I just did in a match in 1987 in Los Angeles!
