Jones began his professional journey with the Miami Seahawks and Brooklyn Dodgers before finding his true home with the Cleveland Browns from 1948 to 1955. He was a key player in the Browns' dominance during the 1950s, helping the team secure three NFL championships in 1950, 1954, and 1955. Dub's record-setting performance of six touchdowns in a single game against the Chicago Bears in 1951 remains one of the most memorable feats in NFL history.

Don Bosseler, a legendary fullback who left an indelible mark on both college and professional football, passed away at the age of 88. Born on January 24, 1936, in Batavia, New York, Bosseler's journey to football greatness began at the University of Miami, where he became an All-American and led the Hurricanes to national prominence in the 1950s. Bosseler was a four-year starter at fullback for the University of Miami. In his senior year in 1956, he helped the team to an 8-1-1 record, was named All-American by the Associated Press, and was MVP of the Senior Bowl. He rushed for 1,642 yards in his four years. Bosseler was later inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 1970. In 1957, Bosseler was drafted ninth overall by Washington, where he continued to excel on the field. Over his eight-year NFL career, he rushed for 3,112 yards and 22 touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl honors in 1959. His contributions to the team and the sport were recognized with his induction into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame and the UM Ring of Honor.
