I know we just got Gary Albright announced which is awesome, but w/ the recent heating up of the Tongan dynasty within the Bloodline next week would be a great time to announce the true King of the Bloodline, King Haku of course. I think they are alternating weeks through May - if I remember hearing Mike M accurately. Indies vs. Legends. It all depends on what comes when.

Alternating weeks through May, then two announcements a week (1 Indie and 1 Legends) through June, is what I was led to believe. Albright will be Friday's announcement so it won't be for two more weeks that we'll find out the next name.

My understanding is that Tom will be putting out something on the GWF every week. Week of 6/3 should be the first week with teasers for all three product lines.

I think it is time for some predictions about who is going to be in this upcoming set:
1.) Gary Albright - announced at Road to Galacticon 2.) Haku 3.) Earl Wampler 4.) Ed Don George 5.) Brad Rheingans 6.) Billy Robinson 7.) Luther Lindsay 8.) Bruno Sammartino
Reason for the picks are as follows - Haku was present at last year's inductions and I wouldn't put it past Jerry and the Legends crew to get him signed. Earl Wampler and Ed Don George are more of the before television wrestlers, and would, in theory, be passed the statute of limitations on likeness rules, depending on where they died - if not family was found. They could be your held names, much like Zbysko and Burns were a year ago. Chad and Tim's comments about the tough partner/opponent for Albright, had me dig into the void of two of the toughest wrestlers that have received awards from the TNTHOF - so one of them makes sense to me. The last two picks are "what the hell picks," and frankly, the rampant speculation about Bruno being in a TNTHOF set has FINALLY worn me down. You win Filsinger Games Pro Board; you win.

Ed Don George died in September 1985, and he died in Florida which has a 40-year post mortem publicity rights law, so he would probably need to be signed officially. Even if we waited until 2026 he still has plenty of living family so it'd probably be best if we made a good-faith effort to get their blessing.
Someone in the Legends room on Sunday, and I can't remember who, said this set would be 6 new cards and 2 re-dos/re-colors. It was not a FG team member, just somebody passing along info they'd heard, so do not take this third-hand account as anything resembling Gospel. I meant to ask about this during the LOW talk but forgot.

Lindsay and Rheingans are two I would definitely enjoy being in Legends. Lindsay would be perfect for my West Coast fed.

I would love to see the Steiners get cards as a tag team. Then maybe singles versions in Promoter Prime.

I would probably cry if we got a Billy Robinson card.

The first name announced for the Tragos and Thesz Set V is Gary Albright. Albright had a highly successful amateur career before stepping into the squared circle. He saw his greatest success in Japan, teaming up with fellow Legends like Stan Hansen and Steve Williams. He also had high-profile matches against the likes of Big Van Vader and Bad News Allen. While his life was tragically cut short, Albright’s career was so notable that he was inducted into the Tragos and Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2023 to recognize his accomplishments. The Tragos and Thesz Set V will be available this summer. Pre-orders for all three 2024 Cycle 2 releases will start in a few weeks! The new games will have a special prerelease at GalactiCon 35 in Jamestown, NY on June 28-30 and will begin mailing in July to all customers.

I'll be adding Albright to my Varsity Club faction with Dr. Death and Mike Rotunda... (Managed by Red Berry, though... not Sullivan) Looking forward to him!
