Great long Super Sized Episode!
I've been wanting to check out the Disturbance in the Force & Iron Claw might have to try to catch them this week.
I enjoyed hearing what Kevin & Matt are up too in their Fed's, always interested in what my fellow promoters are doing.
Loved EA's NHL 93'-95' on the PS2! I was undefeated in that game for over a 2 year period, my friends would search out opponents to challenge me.

The Iron Claw.. a movie insired by events in pro-wrestling history made for non-wrestling fans. It is a good movie if you can take the wrestling hat off and leave it at home. Best said that it would have made a much better miniseries or four hour epic, but that would take a lot more funding. Personally, I will admit that the ending boat scene really got to me. People should see it, but just understand it is Not a documentary. It is drama.
Thanks again for having me on guys. Enjoyed the chat. It'll be interesting to hear weather reports on episode 164.

iowaoaks though we don't know one another, we need to talk! I think we would be fast friends. LOL While my collection would pale in comparison to yours from the sound of it, I still have a very 'solid' comic collection. My crown jewel being a 9.0 copy of INCREDIBLE HULK #181! Many won't know the significants of that book, but I'm sure you do. I have an entire run of The AVENGERS from #1 through #300 [complete]. I also have GIANT-SIZE X-MEN #1 and a complete run from issue #94 through #200 unbroken. I 100% agree with you that comics and THIS GAME are a great escape from reality and very therapeutic. Possibly my favorite thing in the world to talk about.. Comic Books! I owned a lot of single issues, but due to space and a desire to have full runs, i starred buying collected Editions. Now many of the early issues are in Marvel Masterworks or omnibuses (which aren't cheap, just much cheaper than say Amazing Spider #1.) Sell off singles, acquire collected...and space. Single Issues with bags and boards on each one take up an enormous amount of space. When I decided to make the transition, the wife was generally supportive as it looks ALOT nicer on bookshelves than in old white comic boxes. (Though makes moving a real nightmare.) So, the question for anyone (and KB especially) what is your favorite series and character?

So, the question for anyone (and KB especially) what is your favorite series and character? I am a MARVEL guy through and through but.... [this will make Chad Olson happy] I believe CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS is the greatest miniseries ever written. The way they condensed their multiverse down to one earth was brilliant, topped off with that incredible George Perez art. DAMN!!! Then they screwed it all up and ZERO HOUR was.... less brilliant, but INFINITE CRISIS was intriguing with the emergence of SUPERBOY PRIME!! BORN AGAIN, FRANK MILLER'S run on DAREDEVIL was probably my favorite MARVEL series - so well done! JOHN BYRNE'S run on X-MEN is top tier IMO, there are so many! SO MANY! My favorite character was WOVERINE before Wolverine was cool, but once he was over done I kind of moved on. I was always a fan of the less popular guys, like JACK OF HEARTS and Simon Williams aka WONDER MAN [hated the safari jacket era though] Gimme the original green suite all day - every day.
I loved THUNDERBIRD but they killed him, and he was one of the few that actually stayed dead. Yes, his younger brother adopted the suite and became WARPATH, who I liked - but he wasn't John Proudstar. my commission from the Gem City Comic Con in 2016.

I'm a fan on the original Teen Titans. Currently I mostly collect a couple mangas and some older generation DC comics.

I was a big fan of Pre-Crisis Legion Of Super-Heroes.
That was the first comic that I started collecting on a monthly basis.
I was really into Star Wars, and this was a cross between Star Wars & Super-Heroes.
Cosmic Boy was my favorite character, and I was glad to see him get a mini-series during Legends.

Serious question: why don't we have a general comics discussion thread? I think a lot of us who came into this game did so because we saw Champions Of the Galaxy as comic book superheroes meets pro wrestling.
Anyway, my favorites in the superhero genre were always Punisher and Silver Surfer. Polar opposites. I still have the entire run of the 80s-90s Punisher, Punisher War Journal, and Silver Surfer books. Plus a ton of classic 80s and 90s X-Men of course. On the DC side it's basically Batman, although I did get into that Deathstroke solo title from the early 90s and have probably the first 40 issues or so of that. Modern day comics I read now are all crowd funded and independent books. Marvel and DC are mostly a mess now with one or two exceptions for each company.
