One of my favorite things is hearing the stories of how wrestlers get signed to the game. Thanks for the hard work Vegas!

For anyone not familiar with Francesco Akira, here's a real hard-hitting match with Gabe Kidd from RevPro UK which will give you a little look at what he's like.

The theme for this set seems to be names that just missed the cut for my picks.
Love this most recent announcement. Always great to see more foreign named added to the indie sets. It always keeps my hopes alive for getting Lucky Kid in the game someday.

well he would have been in the most recent deathmatch set if he had signed in time as we were saving a spot for him, but it might be awhile for the next deathmatch set and Hoodfoot is too good of a name to sit on the sidelines until then Fully concur on this. His matches were probably the most surprisingly amazing other than one other yet to be revealed name in the set. Probably, IMO the second most impressive name. Hoodfoot is great and he was ranked #1 in Jobber Radio's Top 15 Deathmatch Wrestlers of 2023 as he had an incredible year last year. So once he signed shortly after we produced the deathmatch set, he was an easy choice to just slot into Best of with deathmatch stats. on a side note, speaking of Jobber Radio, they do some good videos highlighting the deathmatch scene. When Jobber Radio did their annual list for 2023, they did not just list 15 names but instead show highlights of each ranked wrestler from the past year (incluing the infamous syringe spot from Big F'n Joe) and provide graphic stats for each listed wrestler such as 2023 win %, major matches of 2023, championships held in 2023, deathmatch tournaments they fought in in 2023, and (if applicable) last year's ranking (Hoodfoot was #5 last year for example.) This is where wrestlers in the game were ranked in Jobber Radio's Top Deathmatch Wrestlers of 2023 (note: some active deathmatch wrestlers such as Nick Gage are not included due to not enough deathmatches in 2023 to qualify for the 2023 rankings:) Honorable mention: Sawyer Wreck Honorable Mention: Akira. They said Akira "just missed out" on the Top 15 mostly due to a lack of deathmatch championships in 2023 and his losing streak at the end of 2023, although they did mention he won Circle 6's Sicest Of The Six deathmatch tournament and of course he won both the MLW World Middleweight Championsip and the MLW World Tag Team Championship but those two non-deathmatch titles don't really help him out with these particular rankings.) 10. Big F'n Joe 8. Mickie Knuckles 6. Bobby Beverly 5. John Wayne Murdoch 4. Matt Tremont (now known as KillDozer for who we really need an update for with his new persona IMO) 1. Hoodfoot
