Let's turn our attention to the B Bracket now. Teams in the B bracket are:

Pepper Gomez and Red Bastien
First round matchups will be:

Tony Garea and Larry Zbyszko vs Vampiro and Konnan

Quebecers get a tough matchup with the Roos there as those are two of the better teams IMO. Quebecers held my belts for many defenses and three peat champs as well. Finally had to move them down the road, but Almaty always return.
Going with Gorilla and Killer here - a vintage team!

Quebecers get a tough matchup with the Roos there as those are two of the better teams IMO. Quebecers held my belts for many defenses and three peat champs as well. Finally had to move them down the road, but Almaty always return. Going with Gorilla and Killer here - a vintage team! The Roos are a great tag team. They are looking for some redemption as in last year's tournament, they took a shocking first round loss to the James Gang, who went all the way to the finals. |

Konnan and Vampiro vs Tony Garea and Larry Zbyszko
Konnan and Garea start off. Konnan with initiative, he hits a twisting slam, then a powerbomb into a jackknife. Konnan connects on NIAGRA DRIVER, Vampiro keeps Zbyszko at bay, pin, (p5r8) Garea able to kick out.
Tony reverses out of a move to tag in Larry. They hit a double body slam on Konnan. Tag to Garea. Tag from Konnan to Vampiro.
Uranage by Vampiro, superkick lands on Garea's nose, he covers, but Zbyszko breaks up the pin attempt. NAIL IN THE COFFIN connects!!! (p8r8) And we have our winners!

Killer Kowalski and Gorilla Monsoon vs Red Bastien and Pepper Gomez
Gomez and Kowalski to start us off in this match. Kowalski wins initiative, he hits a jumping kneedrop, quick pin(p2r6). He locks in KOWALSKI CLAW, Monsoon keeps Bastien at bay, (p5r8) but Gomez makes the ropes to break the hold.
Kowalski tries a superplex, but Gomez pushes him off the top rope and down to the mat! Gomez connects on the MEXICAN CRADLE (p3r8) Kowalski kicks out. MEXICAN CRADLE again!(p4r7)
Gomez hits a wind up punch to the stomach, he tries another pin, Bastien cuts off Monsoon (p4r6). Gomez misses a body drop, Kowalski hits a piledriver, KOWALSKI CLAW again, Monsoon cuts off Bastien, (p7r7) and this match is over!
Winners, and advancing: Killer Kowalski and Gorilla Monsoon

Quebecers vs The Fabulous Kangaroos with Red Berry
Heffernan and Rougeau to start for their respective teams. Roy coming in fast and furious, Jacques leaves the ring, Roy follows. Roy hits a flying tackle outside of the ring on Jacques! Jacques barely beats the count out. Back in the ring, Roy hits a leaping chest attack for a pin attempt (p4r5)
Jacques battles back, hits a piledriver, and a tag to Pierre. Roy tags Costello. Costello comes off the ropes with a shoulder tackle, then a backbreaker slam, pin attempt (p3r6).
Pierre battles back with a flying clothesline. Bombe De Rougeau connects, and Jacques is back in. Boston Leg Drop brings Pierre back in. Pierre goes for a body drop, but Costello hits him with a piledriver! Tag to Heffernan!
Roy hits another leaping chest attack, pin, Al cuts off Jacques (p4r10) a catapult smash bring Al back in. Pierre fights back, a double Hot Shot brings Jacques back in.
Al hits a sleeperhold on Jacques, then BOOMERANG!!! Roy covers while Al keeps Pierre from interfering (p7r6)

Rock and Roll Express vs Bill Dundee and Tommy Rich
Gibson and Dundee to start the match. Dundee tries a body drop early, but Gibson stops, and grabs Dundee and executes a piledriver! GIBSON LEGLOCK for the submission, but Rich is in to break that up. Dundee reverses momentum, and he hits a SUPERSTAR BOMB outta nowhere!!!
Ricky is in to break up that pin attempt. Robert hits Dundee with a second piledriver, tag to Ricky. Slingshot stomp on Dundee brings Robert back in. Dundee catches Robert with a big kick, tag to Rich. Robert is able to tag Ricky back in, double back body drop by the Express on Rich.
CROSSBODY BLOCK by Morton, pin attempt broken up again by Dundee. DOUBLE DROPKICK connect (p6r8) Rich able to kick out. DOUBLE DROPKICK again!!! (p9r6) Rich can't kick out this time!
