The Gang at Fed HQ are looking forward to our virtual game con set for May 5. It's the Road to GalactiCon so be sure to be there!
We will begin the teaser season at that convention and post news releases until GCon. Look for Legends and Indie teasers in alternating weeks through May and continuously in June with exciting new game card art and the always exciting wrestler announcements! We keep doing our best to get great signings and I am frankly amazed at how much we've accomplished through the years. I hope our loyal game fans appreciate and enjoy this bounty of riches as much as I do. Be honest, when you were playing in the 80s or 90s you never expected this...and frankly neither did I!
I will also release COTG teasers but minus card art. As I have mentioned on another thread in the COTG section, there won't be card art released, but I will still set up some of the action coming in June. I can't wait to visit with loyal promoters in June to see their reactions to the new set. Someone is bound to ask, "Where do you come up with these ideas?" and I will answer in advance that it's no special talent on my part. I have been teleported here from the future and I am merely recording what is happening there. Those of you that live into the 2050s and beyond will know that's true when the Galactic Wars actually begin. You'll be among the select few that have the road map! (or star map)
Get psyched! We're two months away from amazing game releases that will intensify the feds you are playing!

It's interesting to see how the progression of technology has changed the way promoters interact. Back in the day it was newsletters and that took days and weeks for communication between promoters. Now on this Message Board and other social media the interaction is immediate. Pretty amazing. Along with that the way people communicate with each other and its implications have also evolved. But that's a topic for another day.

I mean we've come a long way from the brick-like Paul E. Dangerously cell phones of the early '90s.

Hey there everyone! I hope you are having an enjoyable summer.
I want to share some thoughts with you as we are in essence a small community (compared with say, Magic: The Gathering) and the link between me, my staff, and our fans is very close. It's part of the magic that has sustained Filsinger Games for going on four decades.
I am considering reducing our release schedule in 2025 from four release dates to three. That doesn't necessarily mean less game cards, but it would alleviate some of the stress with our heavy schedule and allow us to focus our attention on other important matters.
For example, Filsinger Games needs to invest more time, energy (and money) into advertising. Let's face it---we have created and marketed wrestling's greatest games for a long time and we need to get our games in front of wrestling fans more often. We know wrestling fans love wrestling and the ones that also love games need to see our games advertised and have opportunities to playtest them. When I was on the East Coast and a younger lad, I went to something like three conventions a year, which helped, but still more advertising is needed beyond that.
It also frees up some time to improve our current services and seek new avenues of growth, such as licensing and exploring new game platforms. We came close to marketing a COTG game app a few years ago. Now is a good time to explore that territory further.
Like I said, this doesn't necessarily mean less game cards. We can include a few more with each set and/or release some special cards throughout the year. While we add new promoters to our ranks every year, I think we could add even more. And we've got an enormous catalog so new fans will have plenty to work with.
Just thought I would share my thoughts with you, the greatest game fans in the galaxy. Feel free to share your thoughts and thank you for being with me on this continually amazing ride!
Until Pinnacle teaches a course in humility...

I think three releases a year would definitely be better. Something Springish, Galacticon and Holiday Release without feeling like you're rushing or having to put out a tiny set because of all the other things happening sounds great.

Thank goodness, I think three is even too many for all the quality that's been released of late.
With so many games out there and a newborn it was hard keeping up with all the good stuff. Five releases was just crazy and way too much

TOM Hi Tom: If you're looking to do more advertising/game demos Survivor Series is going to be up here in Vancouver on Saturday November 30th. If you're able to make it here I'd be willing to help out; perhaps we could run something at one of the local hobby shops or something like that. I know that's U.S.Thanksgiving weekend which could make travel problematic for a few reasons but the local fans would be in a wrestling state of mind with WWE in town AND that's right around Black Friday when people are especially looking to part with their money. Plus, with the Canadian Dollar sitting at around 70 cents USD any personal/business expenses would be minimized by the exchange rate. Just a thought.

I think with the depth of the rosters across all brands that now you could easily cut back to two to three releases across each and it would be fine. Especially if it meant more cards in some sets than usual where it was warranted. Again the COTG, Legends and Indies catalogues are brimming with talent that gives you now the opportunity to cut back and focus on other forms of branding that you have in mind or where you want to see it go next. Would this also be the case of Promoter Prime being cut back as well or is that model something that would be done away with since less sets means more cards which would just be intergrated into the set releases?
