Very interesting episode, Bob Smith was a good interview. Listened to the beginning of this while driving to play my Strat o Matic season opener.
While I’m not the biggest fan of Death Match or AEW, I think there’s enough room for all of these styles.

Glad to see you had Bob Smith on! Bob is a good friend of mine and I've had the pleasure of being a guest on Bob's podcast and he was on mine when I was still recording. You can catch me and my buddy Scottie on most social media platforms at Wrestler Weekly. We do a lot with the old Magazines and that's how we got to know Bob. He's a great guy and has experienced a ton in wrestling. One of the best guys I know.

Great Mega-Sode. You could've easily split all this out and gotten 2 weeks of plenty of content! Very interested in checking out Bob's podcast as well now.

We recorded this on March 18 before 171 had dropped. Before we interviewed Bob, we thought about combining Chad, Stu, and Tim's talk from 171 with the interview. When the interview was done recording, we knew it was better left as its own episode. Glad you liked it!

Great episode as always guys! Whenever I wake up in middle of the night and can't go back to sleep, I play the newest episode and I am out like a light! ha! ha! JK...thanks for the congratulations for my grandson "peanut"...if you're interested, whenever my daughter would eat peanut butter (or something with it in it)- grandson would wiggle! Hopefully, he isn't allergic to it! This will be a third generation that will stomp Eek and Big Chef in our get togethers...

Fantastic Interview...I was a HUGE PWI guy back in the late 80's and early 90's (I actually had a subscription!!!!!) When I was stationed in Germany, PWI was my wrestling life line...it was the only way to get info. The said part is that we got them editions over there in the military bookstore the month that was on the cover, which if you remember was 60 - 90 days later than current!!! So not only was it the only way to get info, it was old info! But was still mandatory reading for me!!!

Pete, maybe I'm thinking of another promoter but did you have a letter published in PWI or one of the affiliated magazines?

I know I wrote PWI more than once and definitely sent in "Unofficial" Official Awards...so it is possible. BUT I am SURE that I wasn't the only Promoter to make the illustrious pages of PWI!
