About to run my first card at the Aethran War Dome since Apex joined the New Vibe, and I’m not sure how the hometown crowd would react to him? He’s my GWF Champion, so they would cheer him, right? What about when he fights Siege and Fist? I never thought about this stuff before.
Is he cheered as a hero or vilified as a traitor?

It all depends on if the move to the Vibe was all his call or if he was either ordered or encouraged to do so. I could see Aethra wanting him to do it to put the attention on him and the move thus it is less on the fact that Aethran was played by Dark Menace. If I remember right, he did not bad mouth Aethra and even said he planned on keeping the attention on them till the others returned.

I did a little bit last night as I was looking something up and discovered that while not for all groups there still were press conferences lol. The talk in another thread had me thinking they had stopped completely. Just shows my brain ain't what it used to be.

Yeah it may not be staged exactly like those glory days but page 3 starts with Press Conferences 2139 and things kind of go from there.

That is why I enjoyed the write up as it is both press conferences and things happening on shows more like real wrestling. I prefer a few conferences and then the rest to happen more organic like. To me it is best of both worlds that way.

This is how I ran this story... Gladiator Siege was to be out of action, recalled to Aethra (per handbook). I had them out for nine cards, upon the return of Gladiator Siege, things got interesting... New Vibe was in the ring with Deva (Showstopper, Mr. Everything, Titan Power & Apex) Siege & Fist teleported to the ring as the Aethran Anthem blasted in the Deimos Intergalactic Arena. Fist and Siege stood there , arms crossed with smirks on their faces as Apex slowly approached. Deva's smile turned to shock as Apex walked over to his Aethran brethren, and stood with them...Fist and Siege flanking him. All three Gladiators stood there with arms crossed and smiling as Deva stomped her feet screaming "NO! NO! NO!" causing the remaining New Vibe to loose their tempers, but staying on their half of the ring. Now with the Aethran Soldiers in tow... Sky's the limit.
