Just finished playing out the year and Tom created a masterpiece with this one. What a great set. The thing i like most about the set is it is a love letter to fans. You have to play thru all the sets to appreciate something like this which is why i for one have been starting from the beginning for newcomers. If you came in on 2125 FS 2130 is still great but the notes dont hit as high IMO
So do me a favor and take a look back thru your feds. What was your Feud(s) of the Year in 2130? What were your top 3 cards to use from the set? Add anything thoughts you have on 2130.
For me it would be war between Future Shock and the Gladiators at the top with Bishop Hell vs. the Code Destroyer a close 2nd. As for the Top 3 cards,
1. Minister of War. Perfect combo. Great art and stats.
2. Crossfire. the backstory combined with the fun of the card. This was another great idea by Tom. Did he know way back when?
3. Lope. Another great backstory and a cool card back

Feud was Spec vs The Titans. All out wars...Crossfire I believe got involved there as well.

One of my all-time favorite sets that I wish had been explored further. Seeing these cards for the first time was a crazy mind-bender.
The top 3 most surprising were:
Chaos Supreme. Just having him in the current time GWF was unreal and totally cool. Chaos vs Monolith was also my favorite feud. Just too shocking to believe.
Spec. One of the most interesting cards ever. Really amazing art. Mysterious story. Great stats with cool card colors and a great finisher mechanic. One of those rare cards where his original was so much cooler than his update.
Third is tough because they were all so cool. Lope, Crossfire, Vengeance, Mayhem Unleashed, Code Destroyer were all super unique, but Prime Colonizer was something special. So I choose him. Plus he won an Impossible Tournament in my fed. Great card.

I agree it was great homage to days gone by  I love this character and I still consider it one of the best pieces of art in COTG history. I use his new card, but this card is in the hard plastic sleeve as well, so I have the best of both worlds. This art in front and new stats in back.  One of my favorite characters ever, and he FINALLY got the art he deserves.  Like Swarm , I was convinced this was Hector's way to subterfuge back into the G.W.F. for revenge on Sly. But alas it was not to be, a big missed opportunity by TOM IMO. Still a great character, EAT CROW! This three-way feud sent shockwaves through my fed.  vs.  vs.  |

Code Destroyer/Hector would have been perfect. Hector was still around in 2130 but could have played both parts knowing Sly was going to try and 'eliminate' him this year. Which he did, at the end of 2130. Code Destroyer 6' 5" 285 Hector 6' 4" 298 |

I was super bummed when it was revealed that CD was really just a Future Shock guy. Security Squad (both versions but especially w Overtime) was an amazing tag team though. |

I am just about 1/3 of the way through playing 2130 right now...and I am Loving It!
Right now...the headline is Minister of War owning Paralyze who the Overmaster through at him as a roadblock...but Vengeance is just destroying Paralyze...so the Overmaster will have to make thw stand for his team.
That whole Future Shock team really is FANTASTIC! I am having a blast playing them all!!!
