At my next ppv, I want to have a Texas Death Match rules match with two vintage teams. Well one vintage team and one Olde Wrestling team, but close enough. Is there a vintage term that would work in place of Texas Death Match. The rules are the same; I just want a term or phrase that fits better for a match of that era.
Thanks.

I believe Dory Funk Sr. and "Iron" Mike Dibiase were the first recorded Texas Deathmatch and they fought for over 3 hours and are considered "pioneers" of the match type. I can't find anywhere that the name was changed other than variations on the original version of the match. I think you could call it whatever you wanted based on where your fed is located. Using an old english generator I got "Texas Perpetual Wink Match". But really I think you could name it as it pertains to your fed.

Thanks. It doesn’t have to ve an official name. Just something that would fit if that type of match was fought among vintage wrestlers.

I'd call it something like a Survival Match.

True, but if it’s vintage, wouldn’t it be Pier 3-4?

On an unrelated note, I just want to say Tragos 4 is awesome and Zybszko is quickly becoming one of my favorite wrestlers.
