Anyone else feeling like this entire retirement angle is just hugely anticlimactic? No one honestly believes that he is done wrestling, right? I mean, even AEW was promoting this match as his last match as a full-time wrestler. That just means he will be getting the Brock Lesnar/Undertaker type of part-time schedule once he comes back from a nice little vacation. The whole thing is just so obviously contrived and fake... and it doesn't even try to kayfabe that fact. But then we have Meltzer and the usual "journalists" going gaga about this retirement match.

I think this was his retirement match. Much like Kiss's first farewell tour.

It was a big "meh" from me.

I think this was his retirement match. Much like Kiss's first farewell tour. If he returns to WWE as Daniel Bryan, then it was the retirement match of "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson... but he'll be back--just like Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator--because they always come back.

I do not think he will be back, but I could be wrong.

Tony Schiavone: We have a new masked wrestler making his debut. He is US Dragon.

I think they were truthful when they said it was the end of his "full time" wrestling career. Now he can just make Terry Funk like part time returns until the end of time.
