Louden Noxious opened the show in the backstage area with an intro and rundown of tonight's matches. He then welcomed one-half of the night's main event,
Tyler Black. Louden discussed Black's issues with Hero and what went down a few weeks ago with Hero taking a cheap shot at Black's knee that ended up costing him the Revolution championship. Black said his doctor has advised him to sit out at least another week, but he's seen too much and heard too much from Hero to let it go another week. Black promised that tonight, win or lose, Hero will feel pain.
Arik Cannon defeated Rob James to defend the cruiserweight championship.

James came in for "fill-in duty" on a one night only basis and had a solid match with Cannon. The cruiserweight champ ended up putting him away with a strong exploder suplex.
After the bout Cannon took the house mic and spoke from the ring. He said he had beaten everyone in the cruiserweight ranks and now he's bored. Cannon recounted shaving Chuck Taylor's head and how not even Ultramantis Black could put up with Taylor more than a few weeks before running him out of his "neo-temple-whatever" and now he's hit the road. He said Del Rey got beat AND driven crazy, and now she's gone. As he continued
The Northstar Express came to the ring to talk with Cannon. Arik welcomed his old allies and told everyone that the greatest team in Revolution Wrestling had arrived. Cruz told him that either one of them would love to challenge Cannon for the belt, since they know how much he thrives on competition and the best competition is in the "F1rst Family". Cannon liked the idea and said they should set up an open challenge for anyone with the guts to come face one of the Northstar Express next week so they can show everyone what the F1rst Family is all about. Then he'd be glad to put the belt on the line against whichever Northstar member has the most impressive win. The three shook hands and left together.
Claudio Castagnoli beat Sean Davis (w/Johnny Fairplay).

Sean tried to use his bulk on Claudio, but Castagnoli seemed to have an answer for everything Davis threw at him. The end came when Johnny Fairplay tried to get involved. Claudio was distracted by Johnny when Sean charged at him from behind.Claudio sidestepped and Davis crashed into Fairplay. Claudio used a roll-up to get the pin and thwart Fairplay's thus far bungled attempt to "collect on a debt".
Louden was joined in the backstage interview area by
Ricky Landell. Louden explained that Erick Stevens was irrate after last week and had demanded a rematch with Landell. Ricky said Stevens was stupider than he looks then and that he would get more of the same this week.
JD Maverick came to the interview area to interrupt. He said he likes Landell's style and that he looks like he belongs in the same category as Maverick: "Top Shelf Talent". Landell said he likes Maverick's style too and they should talk business. The two walked away as Louden sent it back to the ring for the next bout.
Erick Stevens defeated Ricky Landell with a Dr. Bomb.

The return bout was even better than the first encounter, with both men giving everything they had to try to secure the win. Ricky survived one Dr. Bomb, but a second Dr. Bomb later in the match spelled the end.
After the decision JD MAVERICK ran out and attacked Stevens. Landell joined in and a vicious double-team assault ensued. Finally
Brent Albright rushed out and helped Stevens fight off the attack.
As order was restored in the ring the scene shifted to the locker room of
Chris Hero. Hero had mic in hand and said he'd be interviewed by the only person qualified to talk to him: himself. Hero said he had won the Gambler's Chance tournament, beaten D-Lo Brown, done everything he has said he'd do so far except deal with one thorn in his side. He said Tyler Black was that thorn and tonight he gets dealt with. Then it's on to next week when he steps in the ring and signs the contract to face Eddie Kingston for the Revolution championship. Hero promised to sign on the line, slap Eddie in the face in front of everyone, then take the belt from him when they meet in the ring. Hero said that all the gambler's out there could take that to the bank.
In the arena the introductions for the next bout were underway.
Ultramantis Black and Crossbones were announced first and waited in the ring for their opponents in the tag team tournament match. As
Scotty Vortekz and Drake Younger came to the ring they were attacked in the aisle by
Trent Acid and Brodie Lee. Acid squared off with Younger while Lee thrashed Scotty. Lee ended up power bombing Vortekz in the aisle before security could break up the brawl. Younger was joined by officials and medics in checking on Vortekz and it was determined that Scotty would not be able to wrestle tonight in the tag team tournament match.
The referee was about to declare a forfeit and award the bout to UMB and Crossbones, but Drake stepped in and told the ref that he'd fight them both alone. The ref tried to talk sense into him, but finally relented and called for the bell.
Ultramantis Black and Crossbones beat Drake Younger to advance in the tag team title tournament.

Drake fought valiantly, but the two-on-one advantage was too much to overcome and the Order of the Neo-Solar Temple advanced in the tourney when UMB pinned Drake.
As has been the trend in recent weeks after the bout
Louisville Slugger Larry Sweeney ran down with his baseball bat in hand and chased the NST members out of the arena.
Chris Hero beat Tyler Black with HERO'S WELCOME.

Black was clearly in pain coming to the ring, heavily favoring his left knee. However, once the bell rang he was all business, overcoming the pain to unleash his potent arsenal on Hero. He quickly tossed Hero out of the ring and the two fought on the floor. Hero rolled back into the ring, but then quickly retreated to the floor once again as Black continued his assault. Tyler went to the top to dive at Hero, but Chris moved and Black connected with nothing but the steel railing surrounding the ring. Hero tossed him back in and used a carvate buster for a near fall. Black fought back, but Hero clipped his bad knee and used a HERO'S WELCOME to pick up the unpopular win.
After the bout Hero reveled in the jeers of the crowd, vowing to become the next Revolution champion and then making his exit. The referee helped Black to his feet and Tyler received a standing ovation for his courageous effort.
