I hope we do get a couple ref cards at some point even as LE's. They'd add another dimension to the game I would think.

I don't think a Mark Curtis card would be a problem. I'd just have to check with his widow Pam, who I still stay in contact with. Tom also has former WWF ref Dick Woehrle signed. Yes, I was at the show where I was almost killed by angry Louisville fans after Tommy Rich's insane blade job. Our group was threatened inside the arena, outside the arena, and needed a police escort to the highway. I was actually in the Subway with Brian and D-Lo as well. It's a good thing you were cheering for some SMW wrestlers, because when you first approached, D-Lo thought you might be USWA fans looking for a fight. Curtis is Brian's middle name, and he'd be the first to admit that he's a mark for the business. That's where the name came from. Love that story how he got his name Tim. Thanks for sharing that. I knew Tom had Woehrle signed, but after meeting Mark and him being such a nice guy (and hearing his reputation), he'd be someone who I'd want in the game. Didn't he have a couple of occassions, while in WCW, with some fans running in the ring? Maybe that could be some sort of option on his card. Don't feel bad. We'd always cheer for the "bad guys" at the Gardens (our fav chant, instead of "Go Bill (Dundee) Go", we'd always chant "Grow Bill Grow"....and they would be looking to kill us as well!!! Funny you were actually at that Subway as well Tim. Glad D-Lo didn't try a Low Down or Frog Splash on us!

I had never experienced anything like that in my life. The police escort to the city limits was icing on the cake. It was scary ... and so much fun! Brian was one of the coolest guys I'd ever met in this business. I wish he was still around.

I think it said the game would be released around May in the Promoter, I might be wrong with that though. It also says on the back of Promoter that a Legend set will be released at GalactiCon in July. Does anyone know if this is just the same set or ar we getting 2 sets coming out within the next 3-4 months?
I'm guessing it's just talking about the future set at GalactiCon but can anyone confirm that? I would think we'd be hearing a little more about another Legends set coming at GC if it were really happening.

There will be some sort of release at G-Con but it will not be a set. Expect it to more likely be a couple of cards.
THere will be another set out this year, but probably not till Fall.

Tim can correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall Mark being the ref during a match on Monday Nitro, when a fan jumped in the ring and Mark caught him in a guillotine choke (or a similar hold) until security threw the guy out.

I hope the set planned for later this year features some great wrestlers; the more I've heard of, the better!
