Koko B. Ware defeats Hacksaw Jim Duggan by Disqualification Ware took control of this match early on, countering a back body drop attempt from Duggan, and then hit Hacksaw with a flying headbutt, gaining a nearfall. The Birdman then took things even high into the air, and tried to finish his opponent off with a cross-body block off the top rope. Duggan seemed to have gained a second wind, though, kicking out of the pinfall easily, and then taking control of the match with a powerful shoulder block. By turning the match into a brawl it looked as though Duggan might be victorious, as he hit Koko with a pair of piledrivers. Sensing his disadvantage Ware tried to escape to the outside; as Duggan followed him out of the ring and chased him around the ringside area he appeared to become distracted. Noticing his 2x4 on his path around the ring, Hacksaw took a quick detour to grab it. Ware, thinking Duggan had given up his chase, let down his guard, and was caught completely off guard as Hacksaw laid him out with his weapon, before giving a hearty Thumbs up and HOOOO! The official was given no choice but to award a disqualification victory to Ware.
Jimmy Snuka challenged the MFWA office that he was the rightful champion, and demanded a rematch with Harley Race. His demand was granted as commissioner Rezin announced he would be facing Race at the next Pay-Per-View Dog Days.
The Foreign Legion defeat The Killer Bees as Jim Brunzell is counted out. Jim Brunzell went to work on the Iron Sheik early on, but didn’t display the tag team awareness necessary to develop the type of success the Bees have been looking for. Jim surprised his opponent early in the match with a sunset flip, and followed that up with a flying scissors and a figure four leglock. Sheik continued to fight back, and seized an opportunity with one of the most surprising move ever seen. After Brunzell sent his opponent into the ropes he bent over preparing for a back body drop. Iron Sheik shockingly countered it though, with a beautiful sunset flip. Though Brunzell managed to kick out it gave the Legion the opportunity to make the tag, allowing Volkoff to come in on offense. The Russian decided to clear the ring, throwing Brunzell through the ropes. As Brunzell fell from the ring he busted his knee on the guardrail. Unable to stand, he could not beat the official’s 10-count, giving the Foreign Legion the countout victory.
Greg Valentine defeats King Kong Bundy by pinfall following a falling elbow hammer. The Mountain Bundy went for a shoulder tackle early, but Valentine was able to avoid the big man, and took the opportunity to hit his opponent with a flurry of punches, knocking King Kong down. With his opponent on the mat, Valentine hit him with a falling elbow hammer, a move that stunned the Mountain who was not able to kick out of the Hammer’s pin. A stunned crowd stood in silence as Valentine’s arms were raised in victory.
Cowboy Bob Orton defeats Bobo Brazil with a Superplex. Bobo challenged Orton to a test of strength at the start of the match, and easily brought his opponent to his knees. He followed this up with a big hammer punch to take Orton all the way down. After sending his opponent into the turnbuckle Brazil clearly miscalculated the level of injury of Cowboy, deciding to follow him attempting a big splash. Orton managed to move out of the way, and Bobo was stunned by the turnbuckle. Orton took advantage of the weakened state of his opponent, hitting him with an atomic knee drop, and then using his powerful Superplex to take Brazil out. The referee counted to 3, and Orton threw his arms in the air, celebrating the victory.

Friday Fury Conn Gymnasium Temple Terrace, Fl
Buddy Rogers defeats Brutus Beefcake who tapped out to a Figure-Four Grapevine Beefcake took an early advantage as he countered a Roger’s headlock with an atomic drop, and built on that advantage with a kick to the gut, but that was the extent of his offense in the match. Things turned around when Brutus went for another atomic drop, but couldn’t lift Rogers off the ground. Rogers took advantage of the opportunity taking his opponent down with a forearm smash, and then placed his signature Figure-Four Grapevine on his opponent, making short work of Beefcake who submitted to the hold.
King Kong Bundy defeats Ox Baker after a “flying” cross-body block. These two mammoths went after each other with big blow after big blow; while Bundy took an early advantage with a short clothesline and a running power slam, it was Baker who mounted the more complete offense early on. He hit Bundy with shoulder breakers, clotheslines, and neckbreakers, but while he could hurt King Kong with these moves, he was unable to take him down. Baker, possibly in a state of desperation, finally tried to take the mountain down with a back drop. Bundy was too big for the attempt to work though, as he crushed the unprepared Ox. It looked as though this might be enough for King Kong to win the match, but Baker managed to kick out of Bundy’s pin attempt. Bundy then shocked the arena by deciding to try to finish the match off by going to the top rope; from there, he performed what may be called a cross-body block, but in reality appeared more like a land slide as he basically fell on his opponent. Baker was unable to get his shoulder up from under the massive frame of Bundy, giving the big man the victory.
The Road Warriors defeat Ted Dibiase/Virgil by Disqualification. As the 4 competitors came to the ring they all passed the mountain King Kong Bundy who seemed to have some words for Dibiase, presumably a result of their last tag team match. As the match prepared to start, Bundy refused to leave the ring area, leading everyone to wonder his purpose; was he staying to cost Dibiase the match? The match started with Dibiase taking on Hawk, the later taking an early advantage with a jumping knee smash, and a gorilla press slam. It looked as though the Million Dollar Man was in Trouble, when Bundy grabbed Hawk’s foot, preventing him to close in on his opponent, and demonstrating why he had stayed ringside. As Hawk turned to deal with the intruder Dibiase snuck up behind him for a rollup pin. Hawk managed to kick out, and was able to tag in Animal, who went to work on Dibiase, hitting him with a shoulder throw, and a spike piledriver, setting him up for the Doomsday Device. It looked like it was over when the Road Warriors connected on their finisher, but as Virgil came in to prevent the count, pandemonium broke out. As Virgil was battling with Hawk, Bundy once again inserted himself into the ring, this time asserting his power on the unsuspecting Animal. The official had the bell rung, to announce the disqualification of Dibiase and Virgil, but the brawling didn’t quit until a dozen federation officials came in to separate the wrestlers.
MFWA National Championship Match Killer Kowalski (Champion) defeats Nick Bockwinkel by Disqualification. Bockwinkel started the match off by using a snap mare and a back suplex to take Kowalski down. The champion, trying to regroup, tried to take a breather on the outside of the ring; the challenger was unwilling to let him rest though, following Killer to the outside. The two went at each other furiously on the outside. The official came to the outside to try to force the men back into the ring, but Bockwinkel, unaware of the purpose, yet feeling someone behind him, turned around and decked the ref with a hard right hand. The dazed official had the bell rung to disqualify the challenger, who couldn’t believe his misfortune.

Saturday Supercard Florida State Fairgrounds Tampa, Fl
So Flow defeats the Midnight Express by DQ as Eaton and Brazil fought outside the ring Bobo Brazil asserted his will on both members of the Express for most of the match. He managed to hit both Eaton and Lane with his Coco Butt, frustrating his opponents into resulting to underhand tactics. Eaton and Brazil fought on the outside of the ring, and while Lane was trying to distract the official, Eaton blasted his opponent with the ring bell. The referee turned just in time to see the events, disqualifying the Midnight Express.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeats Greg Valentine with a Piledriver Valentine completely dominated the early portion of this match, gaining nearfalls with a falling elbow hammer, and a neckbreaker, as well as trying to get Duggan to submit to his Figure Four Leglock. Hacksaw managed to neutralize his opponent briefly, but could not maintain momentum. After another onslaught, Greg went for a victory, and gained yet another nearfall with a beautiful cross-body block off the top rope. Stunningly Duggan managed kick out, forcing his now desperate opponent to take things to the outside. Hacksaw, however, stunned the Hammer by sending his unprepared smashing into the steel ringpost. Hacksaw would not waste this opportunity, wearing Valentine down with a spinning bodyslam, and a Flying Spear, before finally finished him off with a piledriver.
MFWA Tag Team Championship Match The Foreign Legion defeat The Valiants (Champions) as Jimmy submits to the Camel Clutch; winning the MFWA Tag Team Championship Iron Sheik started this match off against Johnny Valiant, but after being hit with a hip toss Johnny quickly tagged out to his brother. As Jimmy came in he immediately sent his opponent Sheik into the ropes, but as he was preparing to jar his opponent with a back-body drop, Iron Sheik demonstrated a shocking amount of athleticism going over the top off his opponent with a perfect sunset flip. While Valiant was able to kick out, he was dazed enough for Iron Sheik to be able to place his brutal Camel Clutch on his fallen opponent. Jimmy tried to hold out, as his brother made an attempt to come in and break the hold. Volkoff managed to intercept the interference, however, allowing his partner to wrench in the hold, causing Jimmy Valiant to submit. With the stunning victory the Foreign Legion become the second ever MFWA tag team champions.
Cowboy Bob Orton defeats Jimmy Snuka with a Superplex. Superfly took an early advantage in this match with an assortment of moves including a pair of leap frog and chops. Snuka looked to put the match away, as he leapt off the top turnbuckle in an attempt to hit his opponent with his SuperFly Leap; Orton managed to evade the move, neutralizing Jimmy’s advantage. The match, though, went back and forth, and seemed it could go either way when Orton ran to the outside. It looked as though he was cowering away from his opponent, when in fact he was setting Snuka up for a big body slam on the concrete floor. After taking the match back to the ring Orton executed a trio of top rope Superplexes to defeat his rival.
MFWA World Championship Match Giant Baba defeats Harley Race (Champion) with a Baba Chop; winning the MFWA World Championship Race appeared to underestimate his opponent, missing a knee to the gut before taking a powerful Baba Chop. Though Harley managed to recover from this first chop, Baba executed another, putting the champion down. This time the stunned Race was unable to recover, succumbing to the referee’s 3 count. With the stunning victory Baba forced the second title change of the night, becoming the new MFWA World Champion!

Friday Fury Conn Gymnasium Tampa, Fl
Virgil defeats Bobo Brazil by Disqualification. Brazil attacked early, hitting Virgil with a back-body drop and a Bobo body slam. Virgil tried to counter these attacks with a forearm swipe, but Bobo spun his opponent into the ropes, and hit him with another back-body drop, followed by another Bobo body slam. Virgil then evacuated the ring to try to avoid any more crushing blows. Brazil, however ignored the referees incision that he remain in the ring, and charged after his opponent, delivering an onslaught of attacks. The official had the bell rung, disqualifying Brazil.
A match for inclusion on the card at Dog Days. Koko B. Ware defeats Ox Baker with a Ghostbuster. Baker went after the Birdman early, biting his forehead and then sending him into the turnbuckle. Ware alertly raised an elbow, though, as Ox charged in after him, hitting the big man square in the jaw. Ware would not waste this opportunity, hitting Baker with a flying knee drop and a dropkick from the top rope, before finishing him off with his Ghostbuster. With the victory Ware is guaranteed a match at the upcoming Pay-Per-View Dog Days.
The Dream Team defeat the Killer Bees as Blair submits to Valentines Figure-Four Leglock The Killer Bees demonstrated textbook tag team wrestling for a majority of this match. Early on Brunzell battered Valentine with a forearm smash and hip toss, and then tried to beat the Hammer at his own game with a figure four leglock. It appeared as though Greg was going to submit to the hold before he was finally able to flip his opponent over, breaking the hold. The Bees then traded out, and Blair took over where his teammate had left off, scoring several nearfalls with a Sleeper, the Bee Sting, and then a double atomic drop with JB. Greg showed tremendous resilience though, fighting out of all of these attacks, and finally managed to tag out to his partner Beefcake. Though the Barber had a quick flurry, Blair and Brunzell continued their dominance, gaining a pair of nearfalls on their opponent. Brutus managed to fight back though, eventually taking the advantage over Brunzell, hoping to get a win with a sleeper. Blair managed to tag back into the match, but Beefcake went to work on him as well, hitting him with a Flying Knee Smash, before tagging in the Hammer, who was finally recovering from the onslaught he faced early on. Valentine was able to step over his fallen opponent, placing him in his famous Figure-Four Leglock. At the stage in the match when the Bees needed their teamwork the most, Brunzell was unable to come to the aid of his fallen opponent, as Beefcake met him in the ring, and tossed him to the outside. Blair was forced to submit to the painful hold, giving the beaten and bruised Dream Team the victory.
Number One Contenders Match Buddy Rogers defeats Cowboy Bob Orton with an Atomic Drop. Rogers made quick work of his opponent; countering Orton’s initial back-body drop attempt with a sunset flip. While this attempt didn’t earn him the victory, Buddy took advantage of his situation, hitting Orton with an atomic drop, from which the Cowboy couldn’t recover. The quick win gives Orton a shot at Giant Baba’s MFWA World Championship at the upcoming Dog Days pay-per-view.

Dog Days St. Pete Times Forum Tampa, Fl
Koko B. Ware defeats Greg Valentine with a Sunset Flip The opening match of the Dog Days event was an outstanding way to start any big event. Ware took an early advantage using a shoulder tackle and flying headbutt to stun his opponent, and then put even more pressure on the Hammer with his Ghostbuster. Valentine showed great resilience battling back. After using his Valentine chops and a falling elbow hammer, Valentine tried to gain a victory with a pair of power slams. Ware was able to kick out of Greg’s pins, and was able to avoid a falling knee drop Valentine attempted off the top rope, gaining another nearfall on the now injured Hammer. After some more back and forth action, Valentine sent the Birdman into the ropes, and tried to hit him with a back-body drop; Greg telegraphed the move, allowing Koko the opportunity to gain a pinfall victory with an awesome sunset flip.
The Midnight Express defeat The Killer Bees as Lane pins Blair after a Superkick. These two tag teams demonstrated phenomenal tag team ability, with frequent tags and a solid complementation of each others abilities. The first major advantage in the match came when Stan lane hit Brunzell with a Flapjack. After Blair came in for Jim, Eaton took over, but didn’t let up on the advantage. A Veg-O-Matic got a near victory over Blair, but Blair continued to battle, avoiding another Eaton top rope attack. In the end though, The Express were too tough as Lane finally put Blair away with a Superkick.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeats Brutus Beefcake with a Flying Spear. This match was all Duggan, all the time. Beefcake went for a hanging suplex to start the matcch, but couldn’t lift his bigger opponent, and Hacksaw took over from there. Using a spinning bodyslam, a shoulder tackle, and a tough guy clothesline, Duggan set up his opponent for a Flying Spear. Brutus managed to kick out of the pin, and countered a hammerlock, but tried to get too fancy, strutting across the ring before attempting a punch. Duggan ran through him with another Tough Guy Clothesline, then hit Beefcake with a pair of Flying Spears to earn the victory.
Cowboy Bob Orton defeats Bobo Brazil with a Superplex. In one of the most dominant performances of the year, Orton controlled every facet of the match. Brazil tried to assert himself with a test of strength, but Orton managed to counter these attempts with a middle rope splash. Brazil never mounted an offense again for the rest of the match, as Orton hit him with a barrage that featured a piledriver, a sleeper hold, and an atomic kneedrop. Orton used his Superplex to try to earn the victory over his opponent, but Brazil, if nothing else, showed resilience, kicking out of the Cowboy’s Superplex FIVE times. Orton never let up though, and finally lifted Bobo onto the top turnbuckle before finishing him off with a sixth Superplex!
2 out of 3 Falls Match for the MFWA Tag Team Championship The Foreign Legion (Champions) defeat the Valiants 2 falls to 1. In the first fall Johnny Valiant dominated the Foreign Legion. He wore Volkoff down with an assortment of moves, and got a near fall after Jimmy choked him on the top rope, while Johnny distracted the official. Volkoff managed to recover, and tag out to the Iron Sheik, but Johnny never relented. After avoiding an attempted top rope attack from the Iron Sheik, he took over, and got a pin fall victory with a Top Rope Elbow.
Johnny V started the second fall the same way he finished the first, brutalizing the Iron Sheik. He got another nearfall with another Top Rope Elbow. He then tagged in brother Jimmy, who came in with a vengeance, hitting his opponent with a Double Clothesline. Sheik managed to tag in Volkoff, who was able to neutralize the opposition for a short time. After sending Jimmy into the turnbuckle Nikolai tried to follow him in, but Valiant was prepared, moving out of the way in time to cause Volkoff to crash into the turnbuckle. It looked as though the Russian was beat, but he managed to kick out of Jimmy’s pin. The Valiants then swapped places, and Johnny went for a victory by going to the top rope. He crushed the big man with a flying knee drop, but instead of going for the cover Johnny went to the top rope again; this time, however, he missed on his falling knee, and Volkoff got a near victory. After his opponent kicked out, Nikolai went for the fall, hitting Johnny with a Backbreaker Drop; he managed to knock a charging Jimmy V out of the ring, and earned the second fall over Johnny with another Backbreaker drop.
The third fall started with Johnny countering a knee to the gut, and bringing in Jimmy to take over the offense. The Valiants immediately busted Nikolai with a double clothesline. It appeared as though the resurgence of the brothers’ offense was going to help them regain the Tag Titles, but Volkoff managed to tag in the Iron Sheik to try to stop the momentum. Jimmy went for the kill, sending the Iranian into the turnbuckle, and followed him in, but Sheik avoided the move, causing Valiant to violently strike the post. After gaining a nearfall the Iron Sheik busted his opponent with a kick, using what was suspected to be a loaded boot. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Iron Sheik placed his opponent in his Camel Clutch. Volkoff stopped the oncoming Johnny from being able to interfere, and Jimmy was forced to tap out, giving up the dream of regaining the tag team titles. Though battered and bruised, the Foreign Legion managed to walk out of the arena with the MFWA Tag Belts hanging around their waists.
Jimmy Snuka defeats Harley Race with a Superfly Leap Though this rematch was not a World Title match, like Snuka expected, the Superfly’s effort did not disappoint. Race, the former champ, and Snuka had quite the battle that was expected, with a tremendous array of moves from both superstars. Race used several headlocks to try to wear his opponent down, and employed some simple tactics like a knee in the gut, while Snuka was a lot more flamboyant with his leap frog and chop and even head butts. Though this was a quality battle the end came suddenly, and somewhat earlier than expected, when Snuka put Race down with a piledriver, and then finished him off with a Superfly Leap.
No Way Out (No DQ, No Countout) Match for the MFWA National Championship. Nick Bockwinkel defeats Killer Kowalski (Champion) with a Bockwinkel Sleeper to win the MFWA National Championship These two warriors wasted absolutely no time before going after one another. The Californian took the advantage early, hitting Kowalski with a back suplex, and strapping his Figure Four Leglock on the big man. Kowalski managed to break the hold, and then countered a Bockwinkel death jump, getting his boot into the face of his challenger. Killer than tossed his opponent to the outside, and went to work, attacking the Californian, slamming him through the table. After bringing Nick back into the ring though, Killer couldn’t maintain his advantage. Bockwinkel took advantage of an opening, and laid his Bockwinkel Sleeper on the champion, who was forced to submit. With the victory, Bockwinkel earned the right to be called the MFWA National Champion.
3 on 2 Handicap Match The Road Warriors defeat Money Mountain and Virgil as Animal pins Bundy with a flying shoulder ram. Animal went this distance in this match. He started the match by going back and forth on Bundy. Impressively, Animal took control of the match with a spike piledriver, getting a nearfall off of it. Bundy finally managed to tag in Virgil, who put Animal in a front face lock before tagging in Dibiase. The Road Warrior managed to gain an advantage against the Million Dollar Man, forcing him to tag out his nearest partner, Bundy. As soon as he came in King Kong went for a short clothesline, but Animal dodged it, and countered with a flying shoulder ram. Animal covered the big man, while Hawk hit both Dibiase and Virgil with a double clothesline, preventing them from breaking the fall. Bundy could not kick out of the pin, giving the Road Warriors the victory.
MFWA World Championship Match Giant Baba (Champion) defeats Buddy Rogers with a Neckbreaker Drop The challenger tried to be cute at the start of the match, trying to arrogantly strut around the ring before chopping the Giant. Baba countered this attempt with a Baba chop, and after sending Rogers into the turnbuckle and hitting him with a shoulder tackle, the Jap hit Rogers with another Baba chop. Giant Baba then used a Neckbreaker Drop to put the challenger away. In dominating the match, Baba stated a clear case for why he is the MFWA World Champion

Valentine went back and forth with both Valiants and had an advantage when he brought Beefcake into the game. The Barber couldn’t hold that advantage, though, as he got isolated in the wrong half of the ring. As Jimmy was battling with Beefcake, Johnny came in to help his brother knock Beefcake down with a big double clothesline. Johnny V stayed in to hit Beefcake with a pair of Spinning Neckbreakers to get the pin, as Jimmy help off Valentine.

With the quick victory the Midnight Express won their first ever MFWA Tag Team Championship.
Buddy Rogers defeats Cowboy Bob Orton with a Figure Four Grapevine. Orton dominated the early portion of the match as he had several pinfall attempts early on with moves such as middle rope splashes, and an atomic kneedrop, but a resilient Rogers would not quit. MWFA World Championship Match Giant Baba defeats Jimmy Snuka by Disqualification. Snuka and Baba went back and forth at the beginning of the match, and Baba tried to gain an advantage with a Russian Legsweep, but Snuka evacuated from the ring to take the battle to the floor. From this point Snuka absolutely dominated the match, as he abused Baba with an assortment of moves from backbreakers to piledrivers, from power slams to flying headbutts. It looked as though he might put away the big man with his Superfly Leap, but he didn’t hit Baba cleanly enough to knock him out, and the Giant was able to break the pin. Baba then evacuated the ring, and as both men started brawling on the outside, the official made the controversial call to disqualify the Superfly. Snuka couldn’t believe the decision, and demanded a rematch. Even so, due to the official decision Baba was given the win, allowing him to maintain ownership of the MFWA World Title.
