For the traditional cardstock cards, i'd prefer them to be artwork. For online though....photos would be cool, but colored cards might be too.

I agree that all of a sudden using photos breaks up the consistency of what this game is, cards with drawings.
Even if it's a direct "trace" of a photo, the art gives it that COTG feel that this game needs.
Plus, as TM said, there are copyright issues.
There hasn't been one card drawing that I thought was bad or didn't look like the guy. Well, the original Hawk drawing had his hair wrong, but that's on whoever proofed the art.
The SE Hawk and Animal are awesome.

Bear in mind this is from a guy who hasn't played a Legends fed in well over a year. Slacker. What, do you have some POW fed going on or something!?!? POW, GWF 2122, Early Classics, and when I get around to it every few months or so, aCe. I'm busy!

Put me down as a definite mark for artwork. It just 'fits' the game and adds some originality to the product.
It wouldn't be the same with a photo. I can't even do bootlegs with a photo... it's just wrong, somehow.
Just say NO...to Photos!

I have never played any COTG, POW or anything other than LOW. I love the artwork. I wouldn't change that part of the game for the world. The vast majority of the artwork is great. There might be a couple that could be better but I would still prefer the artwork to any photos.
