My fed is in its early days and as the tournament neared the finale,an alliance was made between Ox Baker and Frank Gotch.I noticed they were both from Iowa and the pairing seemed to fit.Im going for the rough farm boy type of gimmick on each one,and am stuck for a name.I more or less settled for The Hawkeyes,(very original, yes i know, next stop wwe creative).any thoughts on the pairing or names?

Strangly enough, in my early days, I teamed Frank Gotch with Ox Baker because they were both from Iowa! I simply called them the Iowa Wrecking Crew. Unfortunately, they never won the belts, and ended up feuding after Baker accidentally nailed Gotch with a heart punch to cost them a match! Gotch won the feud!

I remember waiting for the first edition to arrive and was making up tourney's and tinkered with the idea of Gotch teaming with Sandman...with the reasoning of wrestling had gone to one extreme to another (pure shoot wrestling to hardcore "junk" wrestling)

This name is heavily infuenced by the fact that I am watching UFC right now but what if you called them Ground and Pound? I think it works.
I teamed Gotch with Duggan in the early days of my fed as the American Heroes. They only teamed a couple times but it seemed to make sense at the time. I didn't know a ton about Gotch so I didn't do a whole ton with them.

Basically The hardcore guys had to wina big match to keep hardcore wrestling in my Maple Leaf fed. However they lost (due to some cheating on Hodges part) and now Hardcore wrestling is not featured there now. Hodge kept trying to get Gotch to join his team but due to their hatred for one another Gotch refused. Later Hodge attempted to take the Junior title off of him for not aiding him and Gotch turned him into a human pretzel and Hodge would then leave the territory and join Thez in the NWA. Baker has not been doing well for me. I am hoping he will pull some magic out of his hat in my developmental fed as I sent him there to "educate" the up and comers.

Since you have a farm theme, how about The Grange?

Let's see, midwest tough guys with a bit of a rural angle- how about the "Barnstormers?" Or does that sound too much like two guys who like to go after the chickens after dark?
